Sexually transmitted diseases(SDT) are closely related with people's sexual behavior,and ethics at the same time,inseparable from social impact.It is a typical biological-psychological-social model of disease.Besides the well-treated to patients in the health care process,the medical staff should note the patients' psychological health problems,the post-STD syndrome,and take a series of countermeasures,such as the protection of personal privacy,love,trust,understanding and respect,to promote the physical and mental health of the patients.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the therapeutic effects of simvastatin in elderly patients with lower extremity atherosclerosis disease. MethodsOne hundred and twenty-eight patients were divided into 2 groups:64 cases with intermittent claudication(group l)and 64 asymptomatic cases with intermittent claudication(group 2).Sixty-four normal cases were served as control group(group 3).THe patients of group l were given simvastatin for 18 months.The differences in levels of blood lipids and C-reactive protein(CRP),the size of plaque and the changes between pre-and post-treatments were observed among three groups. ResultsTC,LDL-C and CRP levels were significantly higher in group l than those in group 3 before the treatment[(6.3±1.7)mmol/L vs. (5.2±1.3)mmol/L,(3.8±1.3)mmol/Lυs.(2.1±1.3)mmol/L,(5.7±1.5)mmol/Lυs.(3.3±1.4)mmol/L,respectively,all P＜0.05].TC,LDL-C and CRP levels significantly decreased in group0.053.There were no differences in plaque size and in plaque number in group 1 between pre-and post -treatments(both P＞0.05),but the clinieal symptoms were relieved or disappeared.There were significant differences in plaque size,blood lipid level and CRP level in group 2 after 18 months treatment(all P＜0.05). ConclusionsSimvastatin can delay the development of artherioscIerosis in the patients with lower extremity atherosclerosis disease.CRP can be used as an early index of disease development and illness monitoring.

Objective To investigate the clinical therapeutic effect of different frequency electroacupuncture on poststroke hemidysesthesia.Methods Sixty patients with poststroke hemidysesthesia were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 30 cases each. Both groups received electroacupuncture at the same points. The electroacupuncture frequency was 100 Hz in the treatment group and 1 Hz in the control group. The clinical therapeutic effects were evaluated in the two groups at 30 days after treatment.Results The total efficacy rate and the cure and marked efficacy rate were 93.3 and 80.0, respectively, in the treatment group and 86.0% and 43.3%, respectively, in the control group. There was no significant difference in the total efficacy rate between the two groups (P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the cure and marked efficacy rate between the two groups (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant pre-/post-treatment difference in the limb dysesthesia score in the two groups (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant post-treatment difference in the limb dysesthesia score between the treatment and control groups (P<0.05).Conclusions Electroacupuncture is an effective way to treat poststroke hemidyse- sthesia. High frequency electroacupuncture is more effective than low frequency electroacupuncture.

This study is to investigate the effects of ceramide on GSTA1 expression in Caco-2 cells. After being exposed to ceramide for a fixed time, GSTA1 protein expression was detected by Western blotting analysis; GSTA1 mRNA expression was detected by real time PCR; dual luciferase assay was used to analyze GSTA1 transcriptional activity and GSTA1 activity was determined toward androstanedione (AD) as substrate. The data showed that ceramide can significantly induce the expression of protein and GSTA1 mRNA, and increase transcriptional activity and enzyme activity of GSTA1. The results demonstrated that ceramide may increase resistance to chemotherapeutics in Caco-2 cells by up-regulating the expression of GSTA1.

ObjectiveTo study the personality traits,interpersonal trust and coping style of juveniles in criminal gangs and their relationship. Methods 15 male juveniles who committed crimes without gangs ( group1 ),52 male juveniles who committed crimes by gangs( group2 ) and 40 male lawful freshmen( group3 ) were tested with Eysenck Personality Questionnaire ( EPQ),Trust Scale and Coping Style Questionnaire.The data were statistically analyzed by covariance analysis or Pearson relation analysis.ResultsAfter the covariant effect of education levels was removed,the levels of P and N in EPQ of group1 ( P:57.49 ± 2.62,N:59.35 ± 3.55 ) and group2 ( P:57.83 ± 1.24,N:59.60 ± 1.68 ) were higher than those of group3 ( P:43.88 ± 4.72,N:39.07 ±6.40) with statistical difference (P＜0.05).The level of E of group1 (63.41 ±3.86) was higher than that of group2 (53.01 ± 1.83 ) with statistical difference (P ＜ 0.05 ).The levels of P,D and F in Trust Scale of greup1 (P:24.68 ± 1.51,D:14.36 ±2.19,F:15.49 ±2.21) and group2(P:22.95 ±0.71,D:22.48 ± 1.04,F:23.09 ±1.05 ) were lower than those of group3 ( P:33.14 ± 2.72,D:40.22 ± 3.95,F:38.44 ± 3.99) with statistical difference (P ＜ 0.01 ).The levels of self-accusation and fantasy in Coping Style Questionnaire of group1 ( 0.80 ±0.08,0.83 ± 0.06 respectively) and group2 (group2:0.59 ± 0.04,0.68 ± 0.03,respectively) were higher than those of group3 (0.39 ± 0.14,0.44 ± 0.11,respectively) with statistical difference (P＜ 0.05 or 0.01 ),while the levels of problem-solving of group1 ( 0.76 ± 0.06 ) and group2 ( 0.70 ± 0.03 ) were lower than that of group3 ( 0.95 ± 0.11 ) with statistical difference (P ＜ 0.05 ).For the male juveniles who committed crimes by gangs,the P of personality traits had a statistical linkage with the problem-resolving and self-accusation of coping style ( r =- 0.389,- 0.395,P ＜ 0.05 ),the N of personality traits had a statiseical linkage with the F of interpersonal trust and the self-accusation of coping style ( r=-0.473,0454,P ＜ 0.05 ),and the E of personality traits had a statistical linkage with the help-seeking of coping style ( r=0.400,P＜ 0.05 ).ConclusionThe personality traits,interpersonal trust and coping styles of male juveniles who committed crimes with or without gangs and the lawful men are different.These psychological factors may have certain effect on juvenile gang crimes.

[Objective] To evaluate the results of surgical treatment of developmental dislocation of the hip (DDH) in children aged from 12 to 18 months. [Methods]A total of 59 patients (72 hips with developmental dislocation) were treated surgically from 2004 to 2006.In them, 53 hips received open reduction and Salter innominate osteotomy, 19 hips received open reduction and Pemberton transiliac osteotomy.[Results]All patients had been followed up for 50 months in average after operation. According to the modified McKay clinical criteria,Severin radiographic classification and Salter AVN diagnostic criteria,the excellent to good rate for Severin classification and modified McKay criteria were 94.4%、93% respectively.Avascular necrosis of the femoral head occured in 2 hips(2.8%).[Conclusion]Surgical treatment without preoperative traction is feasible for the management of DDH in children aged from 12 to 18 months.

Objective To analyze the possible effective intervention for heat stroke(HS)associated with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS)as a result of cross-country training.Methods All the data of causes of HS,clinical manifestations,laboratory findings,clinical interventions and outcome were collected and analyzed in five cases of HS associated with MODS.Results Four patients survived and one died of severe DIC and MODS.The levels of creatin kinase and myoglobulin in survived patients lowered gradually 4-5 days after effective treatments.No sequela was found in survived patients.Conclusions The therapeutic principle for the patients of HS associated with MODS is early commencement of hypothermia,fluid expansion,anticoagulation,blood purification and deep-sedation.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical efficacy against acute leukemia by transplantation of nonmyeloablative allogeneic peripheral blood stem cells from unrelated donor (URD NAPBSCT). One patient with acute lymphoblastic leukemia received URD NAPBSCT in our hospital. The donor cells were full engafted, and grade Ⅱ skin aGVHD and interstitial pneumonia were developed. The results showed that URD NAPBSCT is an effective new method for the treatment of acute leukemia.

Electroencephalogram(EEG) is necessary in diagnosis of status epilepticus (SE),particularly in non-convulsive SE with minor or atypical clinical manifestations.SE is a dynamic process,as seizures continue,in which EEG changed and appeared nonepileptic rhythm discharges.Ictal EEG patterns of SE are non-specific and different types of SE have different EEG features.In this paper,the EEG of different type SE will be summarized.
