OBJECTIVES: To analyze bone mass distribution and the factors affecting bone mass in a general Chinese Han cohort undergoing physical examinations at our center. METHODS: We retrospectively collected the data of bone mineral density (BMD) measurements from 30 599 healthy Han Chinese adults (age≥20 years) who underwent dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry scans at our hospital from July, 2013 to July, 2023. Basic parameters including height, body weight, and gender were recorded, and descriptive statistics and correlation analyses were performed using R software. RESULTS: In this cohort, the male individuals had a mean peak BMD of 1.00±0.12 g/cm² in the lumbar vertebrae, 0.94±0.14 g/cm² in the femoral neck, and 0.99±0.13 g/cm² in the total hip, significantly higher than the values in the female individuals [0.99±0.12 g/cm² in the lumbar vertebrae (P=0.022), 0.79±0.11 g/cm² in the femoral neck (P<0.001), and 0.88±0.11 g/cm² in the total hip (P<0.001)]. In the overall cohort, the BMD values of the lumbar spine and femur decreased with age after reaching their peak levels. There was a positive correlation between BMD value and body mass index (BMI) in both male and female individuals. The 2013-2014 period recorded the lowest BMD values in the lumbar, hip, and femoral neck, which tended to increase steadily in the following years (2015-2023). CONCLUSIONS Our data suggest that the BMD values vary among different populations, and future multi-center studies using more accurate BMD detection technology are warranted to capture the variation patterns of BMD with demographic characteristics of specific populations.

Objectives:To explore the influencing factors of daily living abilities in patients with traumatic spinal cord injury.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted on 148 patients with traumatic spinal cord injury admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to January 2023.Factors that may affect the daily living abilities of patients were collected,including gender,age,marital status,course of injury,cause of in-jury,level of injury,American Spinal Injury Association(ASIA)impairment scale(AIS),surgical situation and urination pattern.The spinal cord independence measure Ⅲ(SCIM-Ⅲ)was used to evaluate the daily living abilities in patients with traumatic spinal cord injury.The relationship between the influencing factors and daily living abilities was analyzed by single factor analysis,and multiple linear regression was applied to ana-lyze the impact of the influencing factors on daily living abilities.Results:Univariate analysis showed that the level of injury,AIS and,the urination pattern had significant effects on daily living abilities(P＜0.05),while gender,age,marital status,course of injury,cause of injury,surgical situation had no significant effects on daily living abilities.With regard to the level of injury,patients with sacral spinal cord injury had the best daily living abilities,and patients with cervical spinal cord injury were the worst in daily living abilities.Regarding AIS,patients of level A were the worst in daily living abilities,and patients of level E were the best.In terms of urination pattern,patients who could spontaneous voiding were the best in daily living abil-ities,while those with indwelling catheter/bag had the worst daily living abilities.There were statistically significant differences in self-care,respiratory and sphincter management,movement and total scores between patients with different injury levels,urination patterns and AIS(P＜0.01).Multiple linear regression showed that injury level,urination pattern and AIS were the main factors affecting the daily living abilities.Conclusions:The level of injury,AIS,and the urination pattern are the main factors affecting the daily living abilities of patients with traumatic spinal cord injury,and patients with injury of cervical cord,AIS level A,and indwelling catheter/bag have poor daily living abilities.

Objective:In order to explore the impact of corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19)on the hospitalization of children with bronchiolitis and to improve clinicians′ understanding of the characteristics of bronchiolitis during the COVID-19 epidemic.Methods:This was a multicenter clinical study, and the data have been collected from 23 children′s medical centers in China.All the clinical data were retrospectively collected from children with bronchiolitis who were hospitalized at each study center from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021.The results included gender, age at hospitalization, length of stay, respiratory syncytial virus(RSV) test results, severity rating, ICU treatment, and the total number of children hospitalized with respiratory tract infection during the same period.The clinical data of children with bronchiolitis in 2019 before COVID-19 epidemic and in 2020、2021 during COVID-19 epidemic were statistically analyzed and compared.Results:According to a summary of data provided by 23 children′s medical centers, there were 4 909 cases of bronchiolitis in 2019, 2 654 cases in 2020, and 3 500 cases in 2021.Compared with 2019, the number of bronchiolitis cases decreased by 45.94% in 2020 and 28.70% in 2021.In 2019, 2020 and 2021, there were no significant differences in gender ratio, age, and duration of hospitalization.Compared with 2019, the ratio of bronchiolitis to the total number of hospitalizations for respiratory tract infection decreased significantly in 2020 and 2021( χ2=12.762, P<0.05; χ2=84.845, P<0.05).The proportion of moderate to severe bronchiolitis cases in both 2020 and 2021 was lower than that in 2019, and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=4.054, P<0.05; χ2=8.109, P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the proportion of bronchiolitis cases requiring ICU treatment between 2019, 2020, and 2021 ( χ2=1.914, P>0.05).In 2019, a total of 52.60%(2 582/4 909) of children with bronchiolitis underwent RSV pathogen testing, and among them, there were 708 cases with RSV positive, accounting for 28.00%.In 2020, 54.14%(1 437/2 654) of children with bronchiolitis underwent RSV pathogen testing, and there were 403 cases with RSV positive, accounting for 28.04%.In 2021, 66.80%(2 238/3 500) of children with bronchiolitis underwent RSV pathogen testing, and there were 935 cases with RSV positive, accounting for 41.78%.Compared with 2019 and 2020, the RSV positive rate in 2021 showed a significant increase( χ2=99.673, P<0.05; χ2=71.292, P<0.05). Conclusion:During the COVID-19 epidemic, the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures reduced the hospitalization rate and severity of bronchiolitis, but did not reduce the positive rate of RSV detection.

Objective:To investigate the relationship and intrinsic mechanism between disease uncertainty, coping style, social support and caregiver burden of primary caregivers of stroke, in order to provide a theoretical basis for reducing the burden of care and improving the quality of care for stroke caregivers.Methods:In this study, the main caregivers of 314 stroke patients hospitalized in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Hospital from December 2021 to May 2022 were selected by convenience sampling method, and cross-sectional surveys were conducted using the general data questionnaire, the Family Scale of Disease Uncertainty, the Simple Coping Style Questionnaire, the Social Support Rating Scale, and the Caregiver Burden Scale. Model 4 in Hayes′ SPSS-Process program was used to test the mediation effect, and Model 15 was used to test the mediation effect of social support.Results:The positive predictive effect of disease uncertainty in the primary caregiver of stroke patients on the burden of caregivers was significant ( β=0.665, P<0.01). Active coping played a partial mediating role between disease uncertainty and caregiver burden, with a mediating effect of 0.306 and a mediating effect of 31.8%. The interaction between disease uncertainty and social support had a significant predictive effect on caregiver burden ( β=-0.033, P<0.05), and the interaction item between active response and social support had a significant predictive effect on caregiver burden ( β=-0.019, P<0.05). Conclusions:Positive coping is an important psychological mechanism between disease uncertainty and caregiver burden, and social support can alleviate the influence of disease uncertainty on caregiver′s burden, and can also strengthen the weakening effect of positive coping on caregiver′s burden.

【Objective】 To investigate the practice and benefit of national standardized management of type 2 diabetes in Yulin City. 【Methods】 We recruited the adult type 2 diabetes patients who sought medical help at our hospital from May 2020 to October 2022 as subjects. We collected their basic information (sex and age); measured height, weight, waist and hip circumference, and blood pressure; calculated body mass index (BMI); and detected blood glucose, c-peptide, HbA1c, biomarkers, urinary microalbumin, sensory nerve conduction velocity of lower limbs, ABI, and subcutaneous and visceral fat at the time of MMC recruited and the end of six months. T test and Mann-Whitney U rank sum test were used for measurement data and χ² test or Fisher’s exact probability method for counting data to analyze the data. 【Results】 After 6 months, the levels of fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose, HbA1c, and visceral and subcutaneous fat in all the patients decreased, but the level of fasting c-peptide increased compared with the baseline (all P<0.05). Secondly, compared with the baseline, the control rate of HbA1c (35.21% vs. 13.71% ) and the comprehensive control rate (13.97% vs. 7.26% ) were both significantly increased at six months (P<0.05). Thirdly, after 6 months, the levels of fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose, HbA1c, TG, TC, and UA were decreased more, while the fasting c-peptide and postprandial c-peptide were increased more in the patients of the HbA1c standard group (HbA1c<7% ) than those of the non-standard group. 【Conclusion】 The multiple benefits of blood glucose, blood lipid, uric acid and islet function can be achieved by taking type 2 diabetes patients into MMC. Meanwhile, the rates of HbA1c control and comprehensively reaching the standard are significantly increased. Therefore, MMC can explore a new way for the management of type 2 diabetic patients in this area.

Objective:To develop the Sexual Health Education Needs Assessment Scale for Breast Cancer Patients and test its reliability and validity.Methods:Guided by Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and knowledge, belief, and practice theory, an initial scale was formed through literature review, semi-structured interviews and Delphi expert consultation. Through cognitive interviews with 9 patients, the scale was further revised and improved to form a clinical trial version. From December 2021 to September 2022, 397 breast cancer patients from 9 ClassⅢ hospitals in 6 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions were selected by convenience sampling to conduct a questionnaire survey, test the reliability and validity of the scale and grade it.Results:The Sexual Health Education Needs Assessment Scale for Breast Cancer Patients included four dimensions and 32 items in total. Exploratory factor analysis extracted a total of four common factors, with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 72.258%. The content validity index of the scale was 0.865, and the content validity index of each item was 0.929 to 1.000. The correlation coefficients between each dimension of the scale and the total scale were 0.789 to 0.956, and the correlation coefficients between dimensions were 0.635 to 0.863. The Cronbach's α coefficient of the total scale was 0.979, and the Cronbach's α coefficients of each dimension were 0.897 to 0.969. The half reliability of the total scale was 0.941, and the half reliability of each dimension was 0.851 to 0.946. The total score of the scale was 32 to 160, with 32 to 77 being at a low level, 78 to 117 being at a medium level, and 118 to 160 being at a high level.Conclusions:The developed Sexual Health Education Needs Assessment Scale for Breast Cancer Patients has good reliability and validity, and is suitable for breast cancer patients' sexual health education needs assessment.

Objective:To explore the effects of the "Internet +" hospital-family standardized feeding management model in premature infants.Methods:From May 2019 to November 2020, 240 moderately-risk and low-risk premature infants hospitalized at the Department of Neonatal Medicine in Henan Children's Hospital were selected by convenience sampling and divided into a control group and an experimental group according to the random number table and order of admission, with 120 infants in each group. Infants in the control group received standardized nursing, while infants in the experimental group underwent "Internet +" hospital-family standardized feeding management on this basis. The weight, body length and head circumference of the two groups of premature infants were measured at the age of 40 weeks, 6 months, and 12 months after correction; the hemoglobin and serum ferritin levels were detected, and the incidence of anemia and iron deficiency were observed at the age of 6 months and 12 months after correction; the readmission rate, neurological function, and parental satisfaction with care were investigated at the age of 12 months after correction.Results:At the age of 40 weeks after correction, there was no significant difference in weight, body length, and head circumference between the experimental and control groups ( P>0.05) . At the age of 6 and 12 months after correction, the weight, body length, and head circumference were larger in the experimental group than in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.01) . At the age of 6 months after correction, there was no significant difference in the hemoglobin and serum ferritin levels between the two groups of premature infants ( P>0.05) . At the age of 12 months after correction, the hemoglobin and serum ferritin levels in the experimental group was improved compared with the control group; The incidences of anemia and iron deficiency in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group; the readmission rate in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, and the neurological function score was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference ( P<0.05) ; parents of premature infants in the experimental group had better nursing satisfaction than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The "Internet +" hospital-family standardized feeding management model can improve the nutritional status of premature infants, promote their catch-up growth, improve prognostic outcomes, and elevate the satisfaction of parents of premature infants with continuous care.

Objective:To explore the current status and hot trends of geriatric nursing in China in the past five years, in order to provide a reference for related research.Methods:This research adopted the bibliometric research method. The Wanfang database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) , and China Biomedical Literature Database were searched on October 30, 2020, and bibliometric analysis was carried out based on the literature related to geriatric nursing published from 2016 to 2020.Results:A total of 4 930 papers included were published in 359 journals. The cumulative number of papers published in the top 15 journals exceeded 50%, and one third of them were non-nursing journals. The number of papers published in the region where the first author of the paper was located was from 1 to 555, and the top 3 regions were Beijing, Jiangsu, and Guangdong respectively. Research hotspots were mainly concentrated in five areas, namely, common clinical problem nursing in elderly patients, geriatric nursing services in institutions and communities, quality of life and psychological nursing, chronic disease management, and safety risk management.Conclusions:In the past five years, geriatric nursing research has been large in volume and published in journals. The research attention of different cities is quite different, and the research field is continuously expanding, which is in line with the background of my country's population aging and the guiding direction of national policies.

Objective To investigate the difference of styrofoam and breast carrier in postposition fixation of intensity-modulated radiotherapy after breast conservative surgery for breast cancer patients.Methods From February 2018 to August 2018,tweenty-four patients with breast cancer in Sun Yet-Sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yet-sen University were selected for this study,who underwent hypofactionationed radiotherapy after breast conservative surgery with total dose 42.56 Gy/16Fractions.They were randomized into styrofoam test group and breastcarrier control group.Cone beam CT as used to record the positioning error under the directions of left and right (x),head and foot (y),abdomen and back (y) within two groups at the first,third,fifth,seventh,eleventh time before irradiation.Furthermore,the PTV extension margin was calculated and the positioning time of two groups was recorded.Two sets of pendulum errors were analyzed by independent sample T-test,and the outspread value of inter-fractional set up error of the PTV was calculated.Results The errors of the test group and the control group in the direction of x,y,z were as follows:(2.36±1.89) and (2.56±2.05) mm (P=0.49),(1.76± 1.78) and (3.28±2.79) mm (P＜0.05),(1.47± 1.49) and (1.73± 1.81) mm (P=0.28).The extension values of inter-fractional set up error of CTV to PTV were 2.97,2.92,2.21 mm and 3.41,4.09,2.59 mm respectively.The time of single positioning was (3.4± 1.1) and (5.5 ± 3.1) min respectively (P=0.01).Conclusion Styrofoam has better positioning accuracy and efficiency compared with breast carrier.

ObjectiveTo investigate the level of positive aspects and current status of their general self-efficacy among the family caregivers of disabled elderly,and to explore the correlation between them. MethodsBy convenience sampling, a cross-sectional survey was conducted among 120 family caregivers of disabled elderly in Fangzhuang Community, Heping Li Community, Tiancun Community and Peking Union Medical College Hospital from April to June 2018 by Self-designed General Questionnaire,Activities of Daily Living Scale(ADL), General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES) and Positive Aspects of Caregiver(PAC) to investigate the current status of the caregivers' self-efficacy and positive aspects and analyze the correlation between them using statistical software. ResultsThe 120 caregivers of disabled elderly got (27.98±7.82)points from GSES, which is at a moderate level; the caregivers achieved (35.60±8.16)points from PAC among which the score of"self-affirmation"dimension was (19.93±4.51) points, and "life prospects" dimension was (15.68±4.24)points;the total score of GSES and PAC as well as all dimensions of the family caregivers of disabled elderly showed a moderate level of positive correlation (r=0.524, 0.435, 0.541;P＜0.01). ConclusionsThe family caregivers of the disabled elderly had positive aspects which correlated positively with their general self-efficacy. Medical staff can take corresponding measures to improve the family caregivers' self-efficacy and positive aspect so as to improve the quality of their care and as well as the life quality of the elderly.
