1.COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF AMINO ACIDS OF METACERCARIA AND LARVAE OF DIPLOID AND TRIPLOID OF PARAGONIMUS WESTERMANI
Chinese Journal of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases 1987;0(01):-
The diploid type of Paragonimus westermani in Heilongjiang Province and triploid type of P.westermani in Liaoning Province were examined for amino acids by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).Eleven kinds of amino-acids of diploid type and 15 kinds of triploid type were found in metacercaria; 15 kinds amino acids of diploid type and 16 kinds of triploid type were detected in larvae. The amino acids were more abundant in larvae than in metacercaria and more in the triploid than in the diploid type. The predominant amino acids were cystine and Rlutamic acid.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the nosocomial status and drug resistance of imipenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa(IRPA) to provide the reference for doctor′s use of the antibiotics.METHODS Totally 178 strains of imipenem-resistant P.aeruginosa were identified by the routine methods. And drug sensitivity was determined by Kirby-Bauer method.RESULTS All strains of IRPA were mainly from departments of respiratory diseases, tumor and geriatrics, most of them were isolated from sputum(62.4%).The susceptibility test showed that 100.0% IRPA were resistant to imipenem.Drug resistance rates to piperacillin, cefotaxim, gentamicin, ciprofloxacin and SMZ-TMP were all over 50.0%.CONCLUSIONS The status of nosocomial infection caused by IRPA is very serious. To detect and control the infection is very important.

Objective To evaluate the value of spiral CT in analyzing correlation of growth pattern with pathology and prognosis in gastric stromal tumor(GST).Methods CT findings and pathological data including immunohistochemical staining sections of 43 patients with GST were reviewed and all patients were followed. The correlation between growth pattern, pathology and prognosis was studied. Results Of the 43 GST,there were benign in 9 and malignant in 34.the benign or malignant GST closely correlated with the growth pattern.Of the 17 intra-and extra-luminal growth patients,16 cases were malignant and 5 cases recurred in 3 years. Conclusion The GSTs that appear intra-and extra-luminal gowth hint the poor prognosis.

Objective To investigate the effects of conjugated linoleic acid(CLA)on survival rate of vascular endothelial cells(VEC).Methods The survival rate of VEC was assessed using MTT method after treating with CLA.Apoptosis and necrosis of the cells were determined using annexin V-propidium iodine double staining. Results CLA significantly increased the cell survival rate to 126.3% after treating for 72h at a dose of 2?mol?L-1,survival in a time-and dose-dependent manner when the concentration was less than 5?mol?L-1.CLA could partly prevent the death of VEC induced by PA and SA.Conclusion CLA can partly prevent the death of VEC induced by PA and SA.The results suggest that CLA are important for the survival of vascular endothelial cells.

Objective To investigate the effect of fluctuant high blood glucose on the pathology profile and BCL-2,BAX expression in neurons of the hippocampus from diabetic rats. Methods The diabetic rat models were developed by injection with l% streptozotocin(STZ),followed by insulin administration.Regular insulin was used to set up fluctuant high glucose group model. After 12 experimental weeks, the expression of Fas protein in hippocampus was checked by immunohistochemistry, pathological changes and ultrastructure were observed by using light microscopy and electron microscopy in three groups. Results Compared with those in N group, the expression of BCL-2 in pyramidal cells of diabetic rat's hippocampus was lower, while that of BAX was higher(P

ABSTRACT:Objective To evaluate the expressions of cell adhesion molecules CD146 and transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1)in ovarian epithelial cancer and investigate their relationship with clinical pathological features of patients with ovarian epithelial cancer (OEC ) so as to further explore the pathogenesis of OEC. Methods Immunohistochemistry was employed to determine the expressions of CD146 and TfR1 in normal, benign and ovarian cancer tissues. Results The immunohistochemical results showed that the positive expressions of CD146 and TfR1 gradually increased with the changes of normal, benign and malignant tissues in OEC.There were significant differences between all the groups (P<0.05).The advanced the clinical stage, the higher the expression rate (P<0 .0 5 ).The lower the histopathological differentiation, the higher the expression rate (P<0 .0 5 ).The expressions of CD146 and TfR1 were not correlated with age or pathological patterns (P>0.05).There was a significant correlation between expressions of CD146 and TfR1 in OEC (P<0.05,rs=0.532).Combined detection sensitivity and specificity were 82.4% and 75.0%.Conclusion The high expressions of CD146 and TfR1 may play a key role in the occurrance, progression and metastasis of OEC.They may be used as potential markers for diagnosis, postoperative follow-up and targeted therapy.

Objective To establish the GC fingerprint analysis for the quality control of volatile oil in Radix Bupleuri. Methods The GC with capillary column DB-1 (30 m?0.25 mm?0.25 ?m) was used. The column was maintained at 50 ℃ for 5 min after injection then programmed at 3 ℃/min to 170 ℃ and at 5 ℃/min to 230 ℃ which was maintained for 5 min. Gasification temperature: 250 ℃, carrier gas: N_2, flow rate: 1.03 mL/min, inlet volumn: 0.5 ?L, spliting ratio: 10∶1, FID Injector temperature: 250 ℃. The internal standard was [WTBX]n-nonane used to determine 25 batches of Radix Bupleuri from different habitats by GC fingerprint. Results The 25 batches of Radix Bupleuri are classified to be the qualified and unqualified based on the results of cluster and similarity analyses. Conclusion The method is simple and reliable and it is capable of effectively controlling the quality of Radix Bupleuri.

Objective To monitor antibiotic resistance of Neisseria gonorrhoeae in Nanjing City based on analysis of the results from 1999 to 2002. Methods The production of ?-lactamase was determined by paper acidometric method. Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of penicillin, ceftriaxone, tetracycline, ciprofloxacin and spectinomycin were determined by an agar plate dilution method. Results A total of 417 clinical isolates of Neisseria gonorrhoeae were examined. During the period of 1999-2002, positive rate of PPNG rapidly increased from 8.0% to 31.31% (P
