Objective To study the expression of CD44V6 in human epidermal tumours and malignant melanoma. Methods The expression of CD44V6 was detected by an immunohistochemical technique in squamous cell carcinoma(SCC), basal cell carcinoma(BCC) and malignant melanoma(MM). Results CD44V6 was expressed on the membrane of tumour cells of 10 patients with SCC, and there was downregulation of CD44V6 expression which along with the decrease of differentiation of SCC tumour cells. Tumour cells of 8 patients with MM and 10 patients with BCC did not express CD44V6. Conclusion Our findings suggest that CD44V6 expression is correlated with the types of skin tumours.

AIM: The aim of this investigation was to confirm the best operation conditions in the membrane separation of protein from the homogenate of red earthworm, Eisenia faefida. METHODS: Ultrafiltration membrane of fresh red earthworm with the cut-off of 10 000 was used as the target process, with the homogenate flux as index, the best value of operation parameters such as pressure、 temperature, surface rotation speed and feed concentration were fixed on. RESULTS: (1) The best suitable operation conditions were 0.25 MPa, 30?C , 200 r/min, pH=6.7, 33.3% (w:w) concentration and not a bit of NaCl. (2) The molecular weight distribution of protein in the homogenate of red earthworm mainly lay between 50 000～100 000. CONCLUSION: The obtained experimental results will provide pilot scale test with data support.

Objective To explore the effect of rehabilitation on pneumonia in children with cerebral palsy (CP).Methods60 CP children with pneumonia were randomly divided into the control group and rehabilitation group with 30 cases in each group. All children in two groups received active support therapy but those in the rehabilitation group were added with rehabilitation treatment.ResultsThe time of body temperature decline, alleviation of cough and expectoration, role disappear of the rehabilitation group were shortened compared with that of the control group ( P<0.05).ConclusionRehabilitation treatment is helpful for treatment of pneumonia in CP children.

Plasma endothelin-1 (ET-1),von Willebrand factor ( vWF) and fibrin D-dimer (D-D) were determined in 14 children with schnlein-henoch purpuric nephritis (SHN),17 children with schnlein-hen och purp ura (SHP, no abnormal finding in the examination of the urinary system) and 12 children as normal controls, respectively. The results showed that plasma ET-1( 88.48±22.96ng/L),vWF(1.59±0.38U/ml) and D-D(1.45±0.39)mg/L in the SH N group were all significantly higher than those in both of the control group (4 3.73±17.89)ng/L, (0.99±0.3)U/ml and (0.28±0.23)mg/L and the SHP group (57. 54±20.92)ng/L, (1.5±0.31)U/ml and (0.64±0.34)mg/L although no significa ntly difference in the levels of vWF was observed between SHN and SHP groups. It was noticed that the levels of three parameters decreased significantly in the SHN g roup after treatment (all P＜0.01). There was a positive correlati on between the levels of plasma ET-1 and D-D with serum creatinine (all P＜0.01). It is suggested that excessive ET-1 induced by endothelial dam age of renal vessels, intravascular coagulation and secondary fibrinolysis are p robably involved in the process of renal damage.

Objective To investigate the best exposure condition for reducing the radiation dose of the chest radiography and obtaining the good quality of images. Methods With different tube voltage (kVp), tube current & time (mAs), and focus-film distance(FFD) adopted, X-ray detecting phantom was exposed by means of automatic exposure control(AEC). The dosage absorbed in skin was detected; Spatial resolution capacity, low contrast resolution capacity and low contrast sensitive degree were tested. The space and density resolution capacity were tested. The chest image quality was appraised by the way of visual observation and the measure of film density. Results The different kVp and FFD were related to the emitting skin dose (ESD), the higher kVp and the farther FFD follows the lower ESD; the higher or lower mAs has no effect on the image resolution capacity , but it had effect on image noise. The density value and seeing effect of chest film with low dose had reached good image density and needs of diagnostics. Conclusion Under the condition of 120 kVp high voltage, FFD150cm, AEC reduced density and adjusting to the processing parameters of the CR chest images, the radiation dosage of the chest computed radiography can be reduced efficiently and the good quality of images can be obtained.

Purpose Two kinds of forward conditional reasoning including modus ponens (MP) and denial of the antecedent (DA) are the most common deductive reasoning in daily life. The present study aimed to explore the difference between the two neural machanisms. Materials and Methods Three kinds of tasks including MP, DA, and baseline were administrated to 14 undergraduates [7 males and 7 females, mean age (23.4±1.3) years] by using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) technique. fMRI data was analyzed. Results The reaction times were significantly slower for MP and DA than that of BS (P<0.001), while the effect was not significant for accuracy. In contrast to baseline, both MP and DA tasks activated the left inferior frontal cortex (BA 9), inferior parietal lobule (BA 40), and postcentral gyrus. Bilateral caudate significant activation was found in MP task when compared with DA, whereas the frontal, parietal, occipital lobe and anterior cingulate cortex were acivated more in the DA than in MP task. Conclusion Both forward conditional reasoning of MP and DA commonly activate the left frontoparietal cortex, while significant dissociations can be seen in the regions of caudate and bilateral frontal, parietal and occipital. These results firstly demonstrates the different neural mechanism underlying the two forward conditional reasoning, which might help to further uncover the brain mechanism of conditional reasoning.

Objective To explore the expressions and clinical significance of Toll-like receptor (TLR) 3 and TLR4 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells in Henoch-Schsnlein purpura nephritis (HSPN) children.Methods According to their 24-hour urinary albumin and whether children with HSP had renal damage or not,105 cases were divided into group A,B and C.Group A were children only with HSP but without renal damage,while group B were children only with HSPN not proteinuria and group C were children with both HSPN and proteinuria.Thirty healthy children were in healthy control group(group N).Flow cytometry (FCM) and real-time PCR detected the mRNA and protein expressions of TLR3 and TLR4 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells.Results 1.The mRNA and protein expressions of TLR4 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells were significantly higher in group A,B,C than those in group N (F =37.33,24.01,all P ＜ 0.05).The mRNA and protein expressions of TLR4 in group C were much higher than those in group A and B (all P ＜ 0.05).Meanwhile,there was no significant difference between group A and B(all P ＞0.05).2.Moreover,there was a positive relationship between protein expression of TLR4 and 24-hour urinary albumin in group C(r =0.69,P ＜ 0.01).3.Expression of TLR3 was of no significant difference in all groups(F =0.86,1.78,all P ＞ 0.05).4.The expression of TLR4 mRNA had a positive correlation with protein expression of TLR4(r =0.61,P ＜ 0.0 1).Conclusions Expressions of TLR4 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells significantly increased and had a positive correlation with urinary protein excretion from HSPN in children.This implied that aberrant activation of TLR4might be relevant to the development of HSPN.

Objective To study influencing factors in patients with rheumatic diseases.Methods One hundred and twenty patients with rheumatic diseases were selected from November 2013 to February 2014 in our hospital for the study.The influencing factors in patients with rheumatic diseases were obtained by proposed questionnaires,and then the univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were performed to study factors affecting the treatment.Results Patients older than 50 of the observation group accounted for 38％ (18/48),the proportion of farmer,patients with primary school education level or below,and monthly income ＜3 000 RMB was 35％(17/48),60％(29/48),and 46％ (22/48) respectively.Compared with the control group,they were significantly higher than the control group,which were 64％(46/72),58％ (42/72),79％(57/72),65％(47/72) (x2=8.058,P=0.005; x2=6.025,P=0.014; x2=4.986,P=0.226; x2=4.456,P=0.035) respectively.Using the treatment as the dependent variable,age ≥50 years of age,farmer,primary school and lower education level,and monthly income ＜3 000 RMB as the independent variable,we carried out the regression analysis.Age (OR=1.124,95％CI:1.084-7.236),occupation (OR=1.871,95％CI:1.054-7.243),education level (OR=1.982,95％CI:1.157-6.256),monthly income (OR=1.363,95％CI:1.012-8.227) are the influencing factors of rheumatism's treatment.Conclusion The treatment of rheumatic diseases are influenced by many factors,and more societal support should be provided to help patients with rheumatic disease receive professional treatment and better control of the disease.
