Deer antlers are the unique mammalian organs that can be periodically regenerated,i.e.,they hold interest for researchers on stem cells and regenerative medicine, and have the potential to become an excellent biomedical research model.Deer antler regeneration may use stem cells.Antler growth appears to involve specific stimulation of the necessary stem cells present in the locality, and involves similar mechanisms to those used in limb development, unlike the regenerative process in the newt.Development regulation of antler and growth mechanism of antler stem cells have significance in limb regenerated medicine and stem cell research. Many scientists have carried out thorough research on the deer antlers development, thus, have drawn many concepts. This article reviews the field of deer antlers development such as antler regeneration and stem cells, and introduces research technique of antler development and relevant theories.

ObjectiveTo investigate the diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma (MCRCC).MethodsA total of 398 patients with renal carcinoma were hospitalized from January 1999 to October 2010,and there were 18 patients with MCRCC.The data of clinical diagnosis and treatment of these cases were analyzed retrospectively.ResultsMCRCC accoumted forrenal carcinoma in the same period was 4.52%( 18/398 ).According to TNM staging,5 cases were in stage pT1N0M0,13 cases in stage pT2N0M0.There were 8 cases in G1 phase,10 cases in G2 phase. Conclusions The preoperative diagnosis of MCRCC is difficult to differentiate, and mainly based on CT,especially spiral CT.It should be treated mainly with radical nephrectomy, and nephron sparing surgery in some cases.

Objective To discuss real time three-dimensional reconstruction techniques of spiral CT in the detection of tracheoesophageal groove lymph node metastasis and its diagnostic value. Methods Spiral CT RT3D reconstruction of the supraclaviculrar region were applied to 45 patients with scanning and post-processing on the workstation.Mediastinum, color in chest, clip planes 3D images were obtained by adjusting the CT value threshold and encoding pseudo color techniques. Results RT3D images can correctly reveal the macroscopic morphology of lymphatic metastasis and it's pressure to the trachea and carotid artery. There were significant differennces of visualization capabilities of radiological signs among different 3D techniques. Conclusion With the utilization of multiple methods,RT3D reconstruction can play an important role in detecting tracheoesophageal groove lymph node metastasis of esophageal cancer. It is an important complement to the axial CT images and the basis of clinical treatment.

Objective To observe the changes of neural blood flow when oppressed with different pressures and at different sites in rat's sciatic nerve.MethodsThe sciatic nerve compression model of rat with pressure and time controlled simultaneously was established. The changes of neural blood flow were observed by oppressing the sciatic nerve with five grades pressures using Gasbag. The rats were randomly divided into the distal compression group and proximal compression group, and the changes of neural blood flow were observed in each group.ResultsThe neural blood flow changed significantly(P<0.05) when the sciatic nerve was oppressed with different pressures and it had the decreasing tendency with the pressures increasing. The neural blood flow of each group decreased obviously(P<0.01).The effect of oppressing distal nerve on neural blood flow was more obvious than that of oppressing proximal nerve(P<0.01).ConclusionMechanical compression can influence the neural blood flow obviously. The distal vessels of sciatic nerve are the major sources of nerve blood supply.

Objective To determine the prevalence and genotype profiles of urogenital Chlamydia trachomatis and their related factors in patients attending sexually transmitted diseases (STD) clinics in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Methods C. trachomatis was screened by a plasmid PCR in 598 patients attending STD clinics. Then, positive specimens underwent nested-PCR to amplify the major outer membrane protein 1 (ompl) gene. The amplicons of ompl gene were digested by restriction endonucleases Alu I plus Hinf I and Cfol . C. trachomatis was differentiated according to the restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) patterns. Results Out of the 598 samples, 83 were positive for plasmid-PCR. The prevalence of chlamydial infection was 13.9% with no significant difference between male and female patients. Nested-PCR based RFLP analysis showed that genotype E amounted to 27.7% (23/83), F 20.5% (17/83), D 13.2%(11/83), G 12.0%(10/83), K 7.2%(6/83), H 4.8%(4/83), I 3.6% (3/83), J 3.6%(3/83)and uncertain types 7.2% (6/83). Visible symptoms were observed less frequently in infections with C. trachomatis genotypes E and F compared with the other genotypes, while low abdominal pain occurred in 80% of infections with type G. Conclusions A certain proportion of out-patients attending STD clinic are infected with various types of C. trachomatis in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The polymorphism of ompl gene may serve as a useful tool in molecular epidemiological studies of C. trachomatis.

Objective To investigate the regulation role of gastric cancer related miR-148a on gastrin receptor CCKBR expression, and find the correct binding sites of miR-148a in CCKBR 3’UTR.Methods The potential binding sites of miR-148a in the CCKBR 3’UTR were predicted with the bioinformatic tools; The miR-148a expressing plasmid was constructed by PCR, and miR-148a expression was verified by Northern Blot; The luciferase report plasmids containing the wild type and mutated binding sites of CCKBR 3’ UTR were constructed, and were used to study the regulation mechanism and identify the binding sites of miR-148a by luciferase activity analysis; The regulation effect of miR-148a on CCKBR protein expression was checked by Western Blot. Results Three potential binding sites of miR-148a in the CCKBR 3’ UTR were found; The miR-148a expressing plasmid was constructed successfully, and highly expressed miR-148a after transfected to gastric cancer cells; The inhibitory effect of miR-148a on CCKBR protein expression was checked by Western Blot.Over-expression of miR-148a inhibited CCKBR expression by directly binding to the binding site in CCKBR 3’UTR 423bp.Conclusion CCKBR is a target of miR-148a, and its expression is inhibited by the binding of miR-148a on its 3’ UTR, indicating that miR-148a may participates in the progression of gastric cancer by regulating CCKBR expression.

Objective To investigate the accuracy and safety of using normal saline as a medium to guide the catheter lumen to assist the localization of the catheter tip. Methods This study included the patients with hematological malignancies in our fully implantable venous port. We enrolled 105 patients from January 2014 to December 2015 as control group, and 220 patients from January 2016 to June 2017 as the experimental group. The control group used the traditional fully implantable venous port after the chest X slice to determine the location of the catheter tip. The experimental group used the intracavitary electrocardiogram location technology to assist the complete implantable venous port catheter tip positioning catheter, then chest X film. Results No catheterization occurred in all the patients. The rate of catheter placement was 100%. In the experimental group, 179 patients (81.36%) had the best placement of catheter tip (i.e., superior vena cava right atrium junction, CAJ), and 35 patients (52.38%) in the control group had the best placement of catheter tip. The proportion of the catheter tip located in the best position (the superior vena cava auricular commissure and CAJ) in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group (χ2=29.615, P < 0.05). Conclusions By the injection of saline guided endocardial mapping real-time monitoring of totally implantable venous transfusion port catheter tip position, can guide the surgeon to grasp the real-time operational direction of totally implantable venous transfusion port catheter tip, accurately positioning the catheter tip position, improve the surgical success rate, worthy of clinical use.
