Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(03):-
The effect of fish oil on the basal left ventricular function and changes of left ventricular function induced by isoprenaline (ISO) was demonstrated in the study. The determination of cardiac performance in vivo showed that supplementation with fish oil (EPA and DMA,70%, 1. 4 mL/kg) had no significant effect on basal cardiac performance, while it could significantly inhibit the gains of +dp/dtmax,Vpm and HR induced by ISCK10 6 mol/L, 10 3 mol/L, 10 4 mol/L) introvenously. The result suggest that supplementation with fish oil have some effects on the function of B-adrenoceptors on rat myocardial membrane.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(29):5387-5394
BACKGROUND:Due to the much higher requirement of biocompatibility and anticoagulant of smal-diameter vascular grafts than those of large-diameter ones, in situ blood vessel regeneration occurs as a new research direction. OBJECTIVE:To summarize the recent research development of electrospun smal-diameter scaffolds and to explore the application of in situ blood vessel regeneration and the development tendency. METHODS:The first author retrieved China National Knowledge Infrastructure database, Wanfang data and ISI Web of Knowledge foreign database to retrieve literatures addressing the fabrication of electrospun smal-diameter nanofibrous vascular grafts, surface modification and mimicking extracel ular matrix, as wel as the evaluation of biocompatibility and security after grafting. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Electrospun smal-diameter nanofibrous vascular grafts have emerged as promising candidates in vascular tissue engineering. By using both natural and synthetic polymers, the scaffolds can achieve a good balance between mechanical property and biocompatibility. Meanwhile, the fabrication of multi-layered vascular scaffolds, functional surface modification and mimicking extracel ular matrix structural y and functional y are now becoming attractive research directions. However, at current stage, electrospun vascular scaffolds used clinical y are basical y formed by synthetic materials, which have limited biocompatibility and anticoagulant activity. In this case, more efforts should be paid to find an optimal ratio between natural and synthetic materials for the improvement of biocompatibility and anticoagulant ability of smal-diameter vascular grafts.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
It is reported that lipid-regulators including statins, nicotinic acid and fibrates can induce severe adverse reactions such as myopathy, even rhabdomyolysis which endangers the patient's life. The authors have discussed the relationship between lipid-regulators and myopathy, rhabdomyolysis, how those drugs cause these adverse reactions and the major factors for myopathy and rhabdomyolysis in order to deepen the knowledge, prevent the happenness of these diseases and develop the more effective and safer lipid-regulators.

Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine 2014;(10):63-66
Objective To explore the influence of tetrahydroxystilbene glucoside ( TSG ) on the neuron proliferation in epileptic rats and the related mechanisms. Methods 54 healthy SD male rats were randomly divided into three groups: sham-operated group, epilepsy group and epilepsy with TSG treatment group. The epilepsy group was established by stereotactic brain trace injection with kainic acid ( KA ) . TSG solution ( 3 mg/kg ) was injected intraperitoneally at 6 hours after the epilepsy group established, and then q.d.for consecutive 42 days. The sham-operated group and epilepsy group were injected with normal saline. The influence of TSG on cell proliferation of rat hippocampal dentate gyrus BrdU-positive granular cells was observed by immunohistochemistry. Results Compare with the epilepsy group, the amount of glial fibrillary acid protein ( GFAP)-positive astrocytes was significantly reduced and dentate gyrus BrdU-positive cells were significantly increased in the TSG group ( P <0.01 ) .Conclusions Tetrahydroxystilbene glucoside ( TSG) promotes neurogenesis of neural stem cells and neurons, and inhibits the growth of hippocampal dentate gyrus astrocytes in epilepsy rats.

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(03):-
Effects of fish oil on B-adrenoceptors as well as the activity of adenylate cyclase (AC) on rat myocardial membrane were investigated. Supplementation with fish oil had no significant effect on basal activity of AC on myocardial membrane, whereas it could markedly inhibit the AC activity stimulated by isoproterenol (ISO). Radioligand binding assays showed that supplementation with fish oil had no effect on Bmax, and Kd, compared with saline control. However, supplementation with sheep oil could markedly reduce both the Ka and Bmax, compared with saline control. And the Ka value of sheep oil group was greatly decreased than that of fish oil group. The results suggested that supplementation with fish oil affected mainly on the activation of AC and not on B-adrenoceptor itself.

Ophthalmology in China 1993;0(03):-
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of mydriasis induced by intracameral injection of 1% lidocaine instead of topical mydriatics and postoperative recovery of pupil diameter in phacoemulsification surgery through a prospectively controlled clinical trial. Design Randomized clinical trial. Participants 34 patients (36 eyes) in study group,46 patients (50 eyes) in control group. Methods The study group comprised 34 patients (36 eyes),who were given intracamerally 0.5 ml unpreserved lidocaine 1% without using mydriatic eyedrops preoperatively. 46 patients (50 eyes),pupil dilated with topical mydriatics,Mydrin-p ( Tropicamid,Phenylephrine Eye Drops),were studied for comparison. As for the study group, baseline pupil diameters were recorded before the surgery, and 90 seconds after the injection of 1% lidocaine. As for the control group pupil, diameters were recorded when the surgery began. Pupil diameters at 1h,2h,4h,8h,12h,and 24h postoperatively were recorded respectively for both groups. Corneal edema and vision recovery were recorded postoperatively. Main outcome measures Pupil diameter. Results The mean baseline pupil size of the study group was 2.0611?0.1016mm,and maximum mean pupil size obtained at 90 seconds after the injection was 6.0972?0.1566mm. At the beginning of the surgery the mean pupil diameter of the control group was 7.6100?0.0799mm which was larger than 6.0972?0.1566mm (P=0.000). 75.0% eyes in the lidocaine group returned to normal size with brisk light reflex, while only 22.0% in the control group did. The time required for return to normal pupil size was significantly different between the two groups (P=0.000). Conclusions Intracameral injection of 1% unpreserved lidocaine can provide adequate pupil dilation and get rapid recovery of pupil size after surgery, though not as large as that of topical mydriatics for phacoemulsification.
