Objective To explore distribution of the estrogen receptor alpha(ER?)and estrogen receptor beta(ER?)in meibomian gland tissue of the normal female rats. Methods 22 SD female rats were killed by dislocation of cervical vertebra, the tarsal plate tissues of the upper eyelids were in paraffin imbedding and made to a series of sections which were then studied by means of immunohistochemical method, and the uterus of rats was used as positive control and PBS as negative control. The serum estradiol level of rats was detected by radioimmunoassay. Results ER? and ER? were expressed in acinar epithelia of meibomian glands.Among 22 rats,21 rats(95.4%) were found to be ER? positive expression in the basa cell of the meibomian gland acinar,15 rats(68.2%) were found to be ER? positive expression in transitional cell and mature cell of the meibomian gland acinar.14 rats(63.6%) were found to be ER? positive expression in the basa cell of the meibomian gland acinar,8 rats(36.4%) were found to be ER? positive expression in transitional cell and mature cell of the meibomian gland acinar. The positive staining rate for ER? was higher than that for ER?,which have statistically significant difference(P

Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 1998;0(02):-
Objective To discuss the status of cesarean section in Shao Xing area, to investigate the indications of cesarean section rate and to study the possibility and feasibility for decreasing it. Methods All pregnant women and obstetricians of seven hospitals were asked to answer a designed questionaire, then the indications of cesarean section were appraised by the experts. Results The average cesarean section rate was 46.1%, the indications for cesarean section were as followed: cephalopelvic disproportion, fetal distress, social factors, proper indications for cesarean section were 74.0%. Conclusions The cesarean section rate can be decreased to 30% and less with the current standard of practice.

To examine the role of nitric oxide in the beta-adrenergic vasodilation of epicardial coronary arteries in dogs, 12 dogs were instrumented for measurement of left anterior descending coronary artery diameter by transthoracic echocardiography before and after dobutamine (5 microg/kg/min IV) with and without intracoronary infusion of NG-monomethyl-L-arginine (L-NMMA) (1 mg/kg). In all 12 dogs, the diameter of left anterior descending coronary artery increased significantly from 2.35 +/- 0.25 mm to 2.59 +/- 0.24 mm (P<0.001) after dobutamine administration. In 6 of the 12 dogs, the percent change in left anterior descending coronary artery diameter induced by dobutamine decreased significantly from 12.5% +/- 8.6% to -1.5% +/- 5.4% (P<0.05) after the administration of intracoronary L-NMMA (1 mg/kg for 5 min) to block nitric oxide synthesis from L-arginine. The study demonstrated that nitric oxide formation contributes to the beta-adrenergic dilatory response of epicardial coronary arteries to dobutamine in dogs.

In designated hospitals for critical patients with COVID-19 in Wuhan, time-efficient pharmaceutical emergency protection system was of great significance for epidemic prevention. Described in the paper are measures taken by the pharmaceutical department of the hospital as follows. These measures include launching an emergency response mechanism, formulating a catalogue of COVID-19 key therapeutic drugs, urgently purchasing therapeutic drugs, transforming the processes of emergency pharmacy, establishing a drug donation management system, building a COVID-19 pharmaceutical care team, and setting up a " cloud pharmacy" to meet the drug needs of patients with non-COVID-19 chronic diseases, in addition to strengthening personnel protection of pharmacists. During such an epidemic, the pharmacy administration works in a professional, comprehensive, complex and systematic emergency program, which guaranteed the safety of drug supply, medication and enabled the treatment to be carried out in an orderly manner.

After the outbreak of COVID-19, due to environmental pollution in the isolated ward and operational constraints caused by protective clothing and other factors, intravenous drugs in the designated hospitals should be centralized. Combined with the existing process mode, the process of pharmacy intravenous admixture services was optimized, the operation mode of the operation platform was adjusted, the scheduling mechanism was optimized, and the node control process of " first verify and five checks" was explored and developed, so as to meet the 24 h needs of COVID-19 patients. According to the characteristics of COVID-19 drug treatment, the focus of prescription review was adjusted to ensure the drug safety of patients. Other measures included implementing paperless prescription to reduce unnecessary media; implementing segmented infusion distribution management to ensure no cross infection; hierarchical control and configuration environment, strengthening the protection and management of pharmacists, to avoid the risk of personnel infection; optimizing human resource allocation and improving work efficiency. This process reengineering and optimization established the emergency management mode of centralized intravenous drug deployment under the background of COVID-19, which ensured the intravenous drug demand and safety of COVID-19 patients. The treatment work was carried out orderly, and could provide reference for the pharmaceutical department in medical institutions to deal with major public health emergencies in the future.

Zinc oxide quantum dots (ZnO QDs) were synthesized by gel-sol method and employed as the transdermal aloesin (Alo) carriers. ZnO QDs were surface-functionalized with amino using aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES). Alo was covalently bonded on the surface of ZnO QDs via N,N'-carbonyldiimidazole to obtain Alo NPs, which were characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thermal gravimetric analyzer (TGA). TEM images showed that ZnO QDs were analogously sphere and monodisperse with a reasonably narrow size distribution, of which was around 4 nm. The size of Alo NPs increased to around 8 nm due to the surface modification. The intense bands at around 3 400 cm and 1 200 cm in the FTIR spectrum of Alo NPs from the vibration of -OH indicated the linkage of Alo on the surface of ZnO QDs. The results of TGA analysis showed that the mass ratio of ZnO QDs and Alo were 39.27% and 35.14%, respectively. The penetration of Alo NPs was much higher than raw Alo according to the passive penetration experiments with Franz-type diffusion cells instrument using full-thickness cavy skin, which manifested the improvement of the penetration for Alo delivered by ZnO QDs. The pH-controlled drug release behavior was investigated. At pH 7.4, only a small amount of Alo (1.45% ± 0.21%) had been released after 2 h. In contrast, as incubation at pH 5.0 of which pH was similar to endosomal environment, Alo was released very fast (87.63% ± 0.46% in 2 h) from Alo NPs, confirming that Alo NPs could response to the pH and realize the intracellular drug release. The inhibitory effect of Alo NPs on tyrosinase was in a dose dependent manner. When the concentration of Alo NPs was 12.5 μg/mL, the inhibition rate was up to 40.32% ± 1.57%. All the results show that the Alo NPs hold a great potential in transdermal tyrosinase inhibition.
