The thought of "Treating kidney for teenagers, treating liver for the middle-aged and treating spleen for the old" was proposed by the ancient doctors based on women's different physiological stages in their life. Based on the physiological features in different stage of women and the relation between the liver, spleen and kidney and the Chong-meridian, the author put the thought into clinical practice. With detailed case explanation, the author elucidated the value of this thought.

Objective To investigate the perfusion characteristics of normal pancreas and pancreatic carcinoma on multi-slice spiral CT(MSCT).Methods Perfusion CT for pancreatic cancer was performed with sixteen-slice spiral CT in 26 patients(all of them were then confirmed by pathology).Eighteen patients without pancreatic disorders served as controls.Contrast medium-enhanced dynamic CT was performed,and the data were analyzed by using commercial software to calculate tissue blood flow(BF),blood volume(BV),mean transit time(MTT),and vascular permeability-surface(PS)area product.Perfusion parameters of normal pancreas and tumors tissues were compared.Results Technical failures were experienced in 1(3.85%)subjects of pancreatic carcinoma.The mean BF,BV,MTT and PS in pancreatic carcinoma were(68.89?73.42)mL/(100 mg? min),(10.02?3.59)mL/100 mg,(8.23?3.26)s,(28.63?9.35)mL/(100 mg?min),respectively.The mean BF,BV,MTT and PS in normal pancreas tissue were(173.53?71.33)mL/(100 mg?min),(14.43?3.15)mL/100 mg,(7.15?5.45)s,(13.98?8.53)mL/(100 mg?min),respectively.The mean BF,BV and PS between pancreatic carcinoma and normal pancreas were statistically significant(BF,PS:P0.05).Conclusion CT perfusion imaging can be used to identify patients with pancreatic carcinomas,because individual differences exist in the results of CT perfusion.

Objective To explore the associations of preoperative plasma levels of platelet and fibrinogen with clinicopatho-logic parameters in rectal cancer patients after curative resection .Methods From January 2011 to February 2014 ,a total of 302 rec-tal cancer patients underwent curative resection .And their relevant clinical data were reviewed .The preoperative plasma levels of platelet and fibrinogen were examined ,the correlation of clinicopathologic findings .The logistic regression analysis was used for for multivariate analysis .Results (1)Elevated plasma levels of platelet were associated with histologic grade ,gross type ,degree of dif-ferentiation ,invasion depth ,tumor stage and lymph node involvement(P<0 .01) .(2)Elevated plasma levels of fibrinogen were asso-ciated with tumor stage and lymph node involvement(P<0 .01) ,but not with histologic grade ,gross type ,degree of differentiation , invasion depth(P>0 .05) .(3)Multivariate analysis showed that the platelet count ,fibrinogen ,ethnic ,degree of differentiation ,gross type were independent risk factors to rectal cancer(P<0 .01) .(3)PLT and FIB were correlated in tumor metastases(r=0 .348 ,P<0 .01) ,and the combined detection of them could increase the sensitivity and accuracy on prediction of tumor metastases .Conclusion Elevated plasma levels of platelet and fibrinogen are both associated with metastases in rectal cancer ,and the combined detection of them are important for the early diagnosis of rectal cancer metastases .

Objective To identify stent fracture by revision of coronary artery angiography and intravascular ultrasound(IVUS) images.Methods Stent fracture has been implicated as a cause of drug-eluting stent failure.IVUS is more likely to identify stent failure(including stent fracture) when compared with angiography.We analysed retrospectively 2 021 cases of angiography and 183 cases of IVUS.Results Six fractures were found in 3 patients by angiography and five of these fractures were confirmed by IVUS in 2 patients.All stent fractures occurred in sirolimus-eluting stents in less than one year after implantation.Angiography analysis showed that 4 stent fractures were complete transverse linear fracture with stent displacement.IVUS analysis showed that 3 stent fractures were complete and 2 were partial fracture.One fracture site was found at the overlapping point of stents and one was found with coronary aneurysm.Conclusion Angiography and IVUS are helpful to identify stent fracture.IVUS can help to understand the possible mechanisms of stent fracture.

Objective To explore the relationship between first-episode schizophrenia and metabolic syndrome (MS). Methods 231 first-episode schizophrenia patients (schizophrenia group) and 63 healthy controls (healthy group) were selected to detect the height, weight, waistline, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), blood lipid and blood pressure. International Diabetes Federation (IDF) MS Diagnostic Criterion (2005) was used to diagnose MS. Results The FPG and Total Cholesterol (TC) of the schizophrenia group were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.001). The MS detection rate in the schizophrenia group was higher than in the control group (P=0.021). Conclusion First-episode schizophrenia patients could have glucose-lipid metabolism disorder during the early stage.

ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation between the chromosomal abnormalities and prognosis of the myelodysplastic syndrome(MDS)patients, and analyze the effects of treatment. Methods Karyotype analysis of 122 patients according to the international human cytogenetics(ISCN) criteria.Treatment of RA and RAS were mainly dependent on agents to induce differentiation of hematopoietic cells and drugs based.RAEB,RAEB-t,CMML treatment were dependent on low-dose chemotherapy and low-dose combination chemotherapy regimens.The treatments of 64 MDS patients with abnormal karyotype were analyzed and compared with control group, and 58 normal karyotype MDS patients were hospitalized in the same period.ResultsAfter treatments,17 cases gained complete remission among 64 patients with abnormal karyotype MDS patients.The CR rate was 26.6 ％.While in control group,30 gained CR in 58 MDS patients with normal karyotype. The CR rate was 51.7 ％. Comparing with the CR patients of normal karyotype, the number of patients with abnormal karyotype of CR was significantly lower (x 2 =8.1 3,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Karyotype analysis shows important significance in the diagnosis and prognosis of MDS.Karyotype transformation demonstrates differently in the risk of leukemia progress.
