1.Prostate specific membrane antigen expression of prostatic adenocarcinoma and the relationship between PSMA expression and histologic grade

Objective To investigate the relationship between PSMA expression and histologic grading of prostatic carcinoma. Methods Different prostatic tissues and non-prostatic tumors (PCa 70,prostate intraepithelial tumor 21,BPH 20,nonprostatic malignancies 30) were analysed for the expression of PSMA by using PSMA mono-clonal antibody and ABC immunohistochemical staining. Results All prostatic tissues but 2 cases of prostatic carcinoma and 4 cases of benign prostate hyperplasia were stained positively,while all of the non-prostatic tumors were stained negatively.There was a negative correlation between PSMA expression and histologic grading of prostatic adenocarcinoma. Conclusions PSMA was prostatic organic specific and could be a prognostic marker of prostate adenocarcinoma.
2.Factors Influencing the Bacteriological Indexes of Drinking Water

Objective To study the effect of temperature and content of residual chlorine on bacteriological indexes of drinking water. Methods In 2003-2004, the drinking water quality was monitored and the relationship between temperature, content of residual chlorine and the bacteriological indexes of drinking water was investigated in two water plants in Binzhou, Shandong province. Results As for the water source, the bacteriological indexes presented a positive correlation with the temperature , the total amount of bacteria presented a negative correlation with the content of residual chlorine in the tap water. Conclusion Temperature and content of residual chlorine in drinking water are important factors in prevention and control of drinking water contamination.
3.Ward-round by Hospital Director,an Important Measure to Control Nosocomial Infection

OBJECTIVE To explore the ward-round by hospital director to control nosocomial infection.METHODS To investigate prevalence rate of the nosocomial infection the day before the ward-round by hospital director.At the ward-round day to check the situation of disinfection,isolation,monitoring and control of the nosocomial infection,the hands-washing of the medical workers and the medical waste management.RESULTS To intensity the management of nosocomial infection of the clinical departments,to intensify the ideas of the prevention and control of the nosocomial infection among the medical workers,and to raise their compliance,in order to effectively control the nosocomial infection.CONCLUSIONS Strict and all-round management especially in participation of hospital director is the important measures to control the nosocomial infection.
4.Nosocomial Infection Pathogens in an Orthopedic Hospital:Their Drug Resistance and Distribution

OBJECTIVE To investigate the drug resistance and distribution of nosocomial infection (NI) pathogens. METHODS A total of 519 strains of NI pathogens during from Jan 2006 to Dec 2007 were completely surveyed. RESULTS Among all pathogens,Gram-positive cocci were 209 strains (40.27%),the main pathogen was Staphylococcus aureus. Gram-negative bacilli were 256 strains (49.33%). Fungi were 54 strains (8.28%). resistance the rate in nosocomial infectionis was increased year by year. CONCLUSIONS The Gram-negatives of NI pathogens are markedly increased year by year. The drug resistance rate of pathogens is higher and the clinically selected anti-bacterial drugs should be based on the bacterial culture and drug susceptibility test.
5.Disinfection Managements in Acupuncture Department to Control Nosocomial Infection

OBJECTIVE To intensify the management of the acupuncture department and prevent and control nosocomial infection.METHODS During the course of the management of the acupuncture department,the causes of nosocomial infection were found through analyzing the possible reasons of nosocomial infection and a series of relevant measures were taken to improve the control of nosocomial infection.RESULTS In order to control nosocomial infection in acupuncture department we needed to strength the disinfection management in the following aspects:air in the room,medical procedures and implement,medical staff hands and medical disposals.CONCLUSIONS Strict management is the important measures to reduce the nosocomial infection.
7.Supra-patellar versus infra-patellar intramedullary nailing in treatment of tibial shaft fractures

Objective To compare the clinical efficacy and prognosis between classical infra-patellar (IP) and supra-patellar (SP) intramedullary nailing in the treatment of tibial shaft fractures.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted of the 68 patients with tibial shaft fracture who had been treated from June 2012 to December 2014 and completed follow-ups.They were 59 males and 9 females,18 to 87 years of age (mean,43.7 years).Of them,38 were treated through the SP approach and 30 through the IP approach.The 2 groups were compared in terms of surgery-related indexes,The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) knee function score and Johner-Wruhs evaluation for clinical efficacy at 1,3,6,and 9 months postoperation.The 2 groups showed no significant differences regarding preoperative general data(P > 0.05).Results The 68 patients obtained an average follow-up of 6 months (range,from 1 to 9 months).Intra-operative accumulative fluoroscopy time in the IP group(2.1 ± 1.1 s) was significantly less than in the SP group(3.3 ± 1.8 s) (P < 0.05).The number of limited open reduction (1),intra-operative bleeding volume (128.6 ± 164.1 mL) and number of second intra-operative shifting (4) in the SP group were significantly smaller than in the IP group(7,216.2 ± 195.9 mL and 10,respectively) (P < 0.05).The HSS score in the SP group at 9 months (80.8±7.Spoints) was significantly higher than in the IP group (74.0±5.4points)(P <0.05).The clinical good to excellent rate at 9 months for the SP group (97.4%) was significantly higher than for the IP group (70.0%) (P < 0.05).There were also significant differences between the 2 groups in postoperative adverse events like knee pain(P < 0.05).No wound infection,limb shortening,internal fixation loosening or rupture,fracture nonunion or mal-union happened in either of the 2 groups.Conclusions In the treatment of tibial shaft fractures with intramedullary nailing,the supra-patellar surgical approach may effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative knee pain so that it can prevent degenerative changes of the knee joint in the long term.It may also lower the incidence of intraoperative second shifting.It also has the advantages of limited incision,simplicity,and limited scaring.In short,it may be superior to the classical infra-patellar approach.

Objective To explore the effects of pigmentary epithelium derived factor (PDEF) on the phenotypic and immunologic function of murine-derived dentritic cells(BMDCs) .Methods Mononuclear cells(MNCs) isolated from murine bone marrow were cultured in RPMI1640 medium containing rmGM-CSF and rmIL-4 for 5 d ,and were divided into five groups .MNCs were stimulated for 3 d with either 50 ,100 ,200ng/mL PEDF ,1 μg/mL LPS(positive control) or RPMI1640(negative control) .The expression of CD11c ,CD80 and CD86 on DCs surface were analyzed by the fluorescence activated cell sorting (FCM ) .The ability of PEDF-induced BMDCs to stimulated T cell maturation were determined by the CCK-8 method and the level of IL-12 in the culture supernatant was detected by ELISA .Results The PEDF-treated BMDCs expressed high levels of CD11c ,CD80 and CD86 ,enhanced the immunolog-ical activities of T lymphocyte and its secretion of IL-12 when compared with untreated DCs .Conclusion PEDF can significantly up-regulate the expression of DCs immunological labelled molecule in in vitro cultured murine and increase its immunological com-petence .
9.The relationship between plasma soluble CD14 level and disease progression in patients with acute phase of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome

Objective To investigate the correlation between plasma soluble CD14 (sCD14)level and disease progression in patients with acute phase of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Methods Forty-one human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients were followed up from June 2007 to June 2010 in Beijing You′an Hospital,including 20 patients with CD4 + T lymphocyte counts more than 350/μL,and 21 less than 350/μL after 3 years of HIV infection.Twenty healthy blood donors were recruited as controls.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)was employed to test the plasma sCD14 level of healthy controls and patients infected with HIV at 1 -30 d,31 -90 d,91 - 180 d and 181 -360 d.Student t test was used to compare the means between two groups.ANOVA analysis was used to compare the means among more than two groups.Results The mean plasma sCD14 level in control group was (1 654±904)μg/L.Three years after HIV infection,the sCD14 level of patients with CD4 + T lymphocyte counts less than 350/μL group was (4 214±2 635)μg/L,which was higher than that of patients with CD4 + T lymphocyte counts more than 350/μL ([2 275 ±1 457 ]μg/L).The difference was statistically significant(t=-5 .41 ,P <0.01).The plasma sCD14 level in patients infected with HIV 181 -360 d was significantly higher than that in patients infected with HIV 1 - 30 days ([4 485 ± 2 779]μg/L vs [2 577 ±1 635 ]μg/L;t = -3.39,P <0.05 ).The plasma sCD14 level was positively correlated with HIV viral load (r =0.35,P =0.000 1 ),and negatively correlated with CD4 + T lymphocyte counts (r=-0.28,P =0.001 ).Conclusions The plasma sCD14 level in patients with acute phase of HIV infection is higher than that of healthy people,which increases with prolonged HIV infection.Plasma sCD14 level in of HIV infection acute phase may be closely related to HIV/AIDS progression.
10.Syndrome differentiation-based treatment of primary liver cancer developed by Professor Qian Ying: an analysis of experience

ObjectiveTo investigate the traditional Chinese herbs and core prescriptions commonly used by Professor Qian Ying in the syndrome differentiation-based treatment of primary liver cancer, and to guide clinical medication. MethodsA retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of the patients diagnosed and treated by Professor Qian Ying. A descriptive analysis was performed to analyze Professor Qian Ying′s clinical medication and prescriptions in the treatment of primary liver cancer, and the complex network and clustering with point mutual information were used to analyze the complex association between multiple traditional Chinese herbs. ResultsA total of 111 patients with primary liver cancer were enrolled. There were 287 visits, 287 prescriptions, and 132 traditional Chinese herbs in total. The core herbs used by Professor Qian Ying were Visci herba, raw Astragalus membranaceus, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Oldenlandia diffusa, and Polygoni Orientalis Fructus, and this result was consistent with the composition of Huqi powder developed by Professor Qian Ying. The prescriptions commonly used included Huqi powder, Shengmai decoction, and Xiaoyao powder. ConclusionSalvia miltiorrhiza is the special herb used by Professor Qian Ying in the treatment of primary liver cancer and Huqi powder developed by Professor Qian Ying is the commonly used prescription.
