3.White Matter Damages in Alzheimer's Disease Found with Diffusion Tensor Imaging (review)
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2017;23(7):775-778
Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) can detect the integrity of white matter in vivo, through which various white matter damages of the brains have been found in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD), even mild cognitive impairment. These damages of white matter may relate to the impairment of cognitive function, otherwise, damages in various area may result in various clinical features. DTI may fur-ther be used in the study of AD development and therapeutic evaluation.

China Oncology 2001;0(03):-
Purpose:To assess the association between the genetic polymorphisms of N-acetyltransferase1 (NAT 1) and the susceptibility to primary liver cancer (PLC). Methods:The NAT1 genotypes of 96 PLC cases and 173 controls were detected with polymerase chain reaction followed by restriction fragment length polymorphism. And the interactions between NAT1 and environmental risk factors were also analyzed. Results:In PLC cases, the frequencies of NAT1 *3, NAT1 *4, NAT1 *10 and NAT1 *14B were 20.3%, 50.5%, 24.0% and 5.2%, respectively. The frequencies of NAT1 *3/ *3, NAT1 *3/ *4, NAT1 *3/ *10, NAT1 *3/ *14B, NAT1 *4/ *4, NAT1 *4/ *10, NAT1 *4/ *14B, NAT1 *10 / *10 and NAT1 *10/ *14B genotypes were 4.2%, 25.0%, 3.1%, 4.2%, 31.3%, 10.4%, 3.1%, 14.7 and 4.2%, respectively. No statistically significant difference of the frequencies was found between the two groups. In PLC cases, the frequencies of rapid type NAT1 and slow type NAT1 were 32.3% and 67.7% respectively, which had no statistically significant difference compared with the control group. The interaction between NAT1 *10 and occupational exposures was found with an odds ratio of 3.40(95%CI:1.03~11.22). Conclusions:There is no relation between genetic polymorphisms of NAT1 and PLC. NAT1 *10 interacts with occupational exposures.

Clinical Medicine of China 2000;0(11):-
Objective To investigate the mechanism, clinical features of severe skin infection developed in the rehabilitation of the elderly diabetic patients and the commonly seen bacterium. Methods The causes of skin injury, the places of infection and bacterium were analyzed retrospectively.Meanwhile, chemical indicators on admission were analyzed. Results Skin injury was caused by the improper family care and the lake of self protection knowledge. The common places for infection were feet and then back and hip skin.Almost all the infections were caused by opportunists, among which staphylococcus was the most common one.The major separated risk factors were hypoalbuminemia, hyperglycemia, and high level fibrinogen and anemia. Conclusion The elderly diabetic patients are subject to skin infection.Diabetic education and careful nursing are the key to the prevention of severe skin infection.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1999;0(09):-
AIM: To investigate Nrf2 that regulates the expression of ?-glutamylcysteine synthetase(?-GCS) in the inflammatory cells in bronchial asthma guinea pig bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF).METHODS: Adult male guinea pigs were randomly divided into control group(group A),asthmatic group(group B) and dexamethasone group(group C).Asthmatic model was established by the method of ovalbumin challenge.MDA concentration in the lung tissue homogenate was detected. The total cell count and the proportion of inflammatory cells in BALF were measured. The methods of immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization were used for detection of the protein and mRNA expressions of Nrf2,Bach1 and ?-GCS.RESULTS:(1) The proportion of eosinophils(EOS) in BALF and the MDA concentration of the lung tissue in group B were higher than those in group A and group C.(2) The result of in situ hybridization indicated that the A value of ?-GCS was the highest in group A compared to group B and group C,but the A value of Nrf2 and Bach1 in 3 groups has no statistical significance.(3) Immunohistochemistry indicated that the A value of ?-GCS in group B was lower than that in group A.The positive rate in cell nucleus of Nrf2 in group B was lower than that in group A and group C.The positive rate in cell nucleus of Bach1 in group B was higher than that in group A and group C.(4) The mRNA expression of ?-GCS(A value) showed positive correlation with the positive rate in cell nucleus of Nrf2 and negative correlation with the positive rate in cell nucleus.A negative correlation between the proportion of EOS in BALF of group B and the ?-GCS mRNA was observed.CONCLUSION: There is disequilibrium between oxidation and anti-oxidation in bronchial asthma guinea pig.Inflammatory reaction decreases the expression of ?-GCS in the inflammatory cells in bronchial asthma guinea pig.Dexamethasone regulates the nuclear translocation of Nrf2/Bach1 and increases the expression of ?-GCS.

Objective To investigate the effects of ursolic acid on the expression of extracellular signal regulated kinase(ERK1),C-Jun,C-Myc,Cyclin D1 in transplanted tumor of malignant glioblastoma cell line C6 in nude mice and the related mechanisms. Methods C6 glioblastoma cells were subcutaneously injected into nude mice to establish the subcutaneous model of glioblastoma in nude mice, and then the mouse models were divided into 3 groups: blank control group, ursolic acid group(50 mg?kg-1?d-1,intra-abdominal injection,20 d),PD98059 group(2 mg?kg-1?d-1,intra-abdominal injection,7 d).Survival of nude mice, growth and histopathological changes of the tumors were observed. The expressions of ERK1,C-Jun,C-Myc,and Cyclin D1 in the tumor tissues and the expression of ERK1 mRNA in the tumor tissues were detected by immunohistochemical technique(IHC) and in suit hybridization(ISH),respectively. Results Slow growth of the implanted tumor was found in ursolic acid group and PD98059 group. The mean volume and weight of tumors in the two groups were significantly smaller than those in the blank control group(P

Objective To explore the distribution, fundamental diseases, risk factors and drug-resistance of hospital- acquired infection caused by fungi in Department of Respiratory Medicine. Methods The clinical data of 142 patients were retrospectively reviewed, and then with statistical analysis was performed. Results The main pathogen which caused fungal hospital-acquired infection was Candida albicans. The most three possible fundamental diseases were chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchiectasis and lung cancer. The main risk factors were lower resistibility of patients and invasive diagnostic and therapeutic measure. The fungus resistance was gradually rising. Conclusion The hospital infection caused by fungus should be emphasized in respiratory medicine department. In order to effectively prevent the hospital infection in respiratory medicine department,we should improve the basic conditions of patients, rationally diagnose and treat, and rationally use the drug against fungi.

MicroRNAs(miRNAs) is a class of small endogenous noncoding RNAs with 22 nucleotides. They can negatively regulate gene expression by inhibiting target mRNAs′translation or degrading mRNAs .Up to now, it has been proved that miRNAs play an important role in cellular proliferation , apoptosis , cell differentiation , and embryonic development .In this article , mechanism and function of miRNAs , principal methodologies in the research of miRNAs and the latest development of miRNAs in early embryonic de -velopment are discussed .
