Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of herbal decoction Kugan Yin for cystic hyperplasia of breast. Methods The 131 cases of cystic hyperplasia of breast in phlegm combining qi stagnation syndrome were randomized into treatment group(68 cases)which was treated by Kugan Yin and control group(63 cases)which was treated by Rupixiao Tablets(Tablets for dissolving breast nodules). The changes of symptoms and signs, level of serum sexual hormone and molybdenum target mammography analysis of two groups were observed for comparison. Results The total effective rate of treatment group was obviously better than that of con- trol group(P

Objective To observe the effect of mPFC neuron synaptic plasticity changes in the formation of morphine related reward memory. Methods 40 SD rats were administered morphine (10 mg/kg,ip) or saline (2 ml/kg,ip)and sacrificed 0,2,4 and 8 h after the treatment. The temporal profile of activity-regulated cytoskeleton-associated protein (Arc/Arg 3.1) expression in medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) was analyzed.Another 40 rats receiving a single injection of morphine at different doses (0,5,10 or 20 mg/kg),and rats were sacrificed by decapitation 2 h later. In mPFC,changes of Arc/Arg 3.1 protein was analyzed by Western Blot,Arc/Arg 3.1 positive cells was detected by immunohistochemistry (IHC),and number of spines were analyzed by Golgi-cox method. In the second experiment,CPP model was established by 5 mg/kg morphine for 8 days.Arc/Arg 3.1 antisense oligodeoxynucleotide (AS) or the control (CS) was microinjected into mPFC 15 minutes before each morphine injection, then CPP score was evaluated. Results Compared with saline groups,Arc/Arg 3.1 protein,Arc/Arg 3.1 positive cells, number of spines ((1.01±0.04) vs (1.58±0.18),P<0.01 ; (42.80±7.63) vs (74.47±8.02),P<0.01 ;(17.27±5.64) vs (39.47±7.56),P<0.01) were significantly increased 2 hours after morphine administration. All three doses of morphine (5,10 and 20 mg/kg) increased Arc/Arg 3.1 protein expression in the mPFC,and there were no dose-dependent effects. In CPP experiments, compared with microinjection of Arc/Arg 3.1 CS (0.74±0.02),Arc/Arg 3.1 AS microinjection significantly decreased the CPP score (0.51±0.01) in morphine group (P<0.01).Conclusion It is enough to increase Arc/Arg 3.1 protein content and synaptic plasticity in mPFC by 10 mg/kg,and the changes implied in formation of morphine relative reward memory.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1994;0(04):-
Objective To analyze the etiology of diabetes ketoacidosis(DKA) in children with type 1 diabetes. Methods Totally 850 person-time of type 1 diabetes children in recent 20 years in our hospital were selected as studied subjects. Two hundred and twenty-five person-time of them were hospitalized because of DKA.Fifty-six cases (131 person-time) were due to recurrent DKA.These patients were classified into 2 groups according to onset time: group 1(diagnosed from 1982 to 1991) and group 2(diagnosed from 1992 to 2001).Results The analysis of recurrent DKA suggested that 71.8 % of them was due to infection, 20.4 % of them did not obey diabetic diet and 9.2 % of them discontinued insulin injection. The etiology of DKA showed no difference in two groups. The number of recurrent DKA in two groups was significantly different (P

Objective To evaluate the associations of human leukocyte antigen(HLA)-DQ gene with autoimmune polyglandular syndrome(APS),type 1 diabetic mellitus(T1DM) and autoimmune thyroid disease(AITD).Methods Fifteen cases of APS,29 cases of T1DM and 40 cases of AITD were selected as research subjects, while 27 healthy children were selected as controls. The DQA1 and DQB1 alleles were determined by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and sequence-based typing method. The difference of their frequency in children and adolescents was analyzed. Results Compared with controls,APS and T1DM patients had increased frequency of subjects with DQA1*0301,0501(all P

OBJECTIVETo study the therapeutic effect and feasibility of rectoclysis with Tuihuang decoction (RTD) in treating hyperbilirubinemia of newborns.
METHODSOne hundred and seventy-five newborns with hyperbilirubinemia were randomly divided into the treated group and the control group. They were treated with western medicine plus double faced blue treatment while the treated group were given RTD additionally. Blood bilirubin was detected by micro-bilirubin detector daily during the treatment course. The time of jaundice regression, the speed of blood bilirubin reducing, liver function, and condition of rebounding were observed.
RESULTSThe 7-day curative rate of jaundice in the treated group was superior to that in the control group, showing significant difference (P < 0.05). The average speed of blood bilirubin reducing daily in the treated group was quicker than that in the control group (P < 0.01). The improvement of liver function, such as AST, ALT and gamma-GT in the treated group was superior to that in the control group (P < 0.01). Rebound rate of blood bilirubin in the control group was significantly higher than that in the treated group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONRTD is an ideal therapy for treatment of hyperbilirubinemia of newborn, it shows obvious clinical efficacy and can effectively prevent the rebound of blood bilirubin.
