1.Comparative of vacuum sealing drainage and traditional abscess drainage for patients with breast abscess

Objective To compare the efficacy of vacuum sealing drainage( VSD) and the traditional treatment for breast abscess drain-age abscess.Methods A total of 59 cases with breast abscess in our hospital from February 2013 to December 2014 were randomly divided into two groups.The observation group underwent VSD and the control group treated by traditional abscess drainage of abscesses.The healing time,scarring length,the average length of hospital stay,number of dressing changes,pain degree were observed.The breast deformation and the recurrence of patients after 6 months were compared.Results The abscess healing time,the length of scar and the average days of hospi-talization were respectively (10.3 ±1.2) d,(1.5 ±0.2) cm,(12.7 ±3.5) d,the control group were respectively (16.5 ±2.6) d,(4.5 ± 0.6) cm,(26.9 ±3.3) d.The difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The number of dressing changes and pain score of observation group were respectively (3.9 ±1.1) times and (3.3 ±0.6 ) points,the control group were respectively (10.5 ±1.5) times and (6.7 ±0.9) points.The difference between two groups was significant(P<0.01).All patients were followed up for 6 months,no recurrence was in observation group,and 1 case with recurrence in control group,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).No breast deformation occurred in observation group,but 5 cases in the control group.The difference between two groups was statistically signifi-cant(P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of VSD for breast abscess is significant,which can accelerate the healing of the abscess and reduce the suffering of patients without affecting the appearance.
2.Therapy of triple negative breast cancer

Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) has its own exclusive pathological and molecular biological characteristic.At present,the treatment guidelines for triple negative breast cancer is not perfect,and the chemotherapy is the main method.A deeper insight into the targeted therapy of TNBC can improve the curative effect.
3.Expression of Schwann cell derived neurotrophic factor in developing lumbar spinal cord of rats

BACKGROUND: Schwann cell can excrete many neurotrophic factors,protect neuron, and be nutritious to neuron. It also can promote the recover of injury of nerve.OBJECTIVE: To observe the expression of Schwann cell derived neurotrophic factor(SDNF) in developing lumber spinal cord of normal adult and different embryo rats as well as immature rats, and the effect on spinal cord in various developing period.DESIGN: Randomized and Controlled animal study.MATERIALS: The experiment was completed in the Animal Laboratory of Nanhua University in September 2003. Totally 30 Wister rats, in each gender,weighing 150-300 g, were selected from Animal Laboratory of Nanhua University.INTERVENTIONS: ① Selection and section: The normal lumbar spinal cord and dorsal root ganglia of normal adults rats with body mass in 180-220 g and 4-6 mature stages were fixed. Frozen sections were selected from 8 pregnant female rats including various embryol rats and immature rats. ② Immunohistochemical staining: Regarding protein antibody of SDNF as the first antibody,avidin-biotin peroxidase method was used to stain, the ash value was observed and the demi-quantitative value was worked out by scanning staining depth in order to analyze the expression of SDNF in lumbar spinal cord.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Immunohistochemical staining of normal lumbar spinal cord; ② Immunohistochemical staining of developing lumbar spinal cord.RESULTS: Eight female rats were pregnant, and all samples were selected from the fetal rats and the immature rats. ① There appeared well-distributed SDNF, staining the whole white matter and Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ stratum of the poster horn of gray matter of adult rats, and the dorsal root ganglia is much more intensively stained than lumber spinal cord. ② There was a inclination of early increase and late declination of SDNF immunoreactivity and the staining reaches a maximum at 21-day embryo, and then decreased at 7-day embryo and 12-day embryo after birth.CONCLUSION: There is lower expression of SDNF in lumber spinal cord of adult rats. But the expression of SDNF decreases gradually in the developing lumber spinal cord of rats. This means that SDNF may promote the development of spinal cord of embryo rats.
4.The First Step of Lunching Biological Rocket Experiment in China——The Integral Results on Four Physiological Parameters of Dog

Objective The effects of flight factors on dog and rats are observed to acumulate the elementary data and experiences for space biology research and development of life support systems.It will be the first basic step for manned space flight in future.Methods Female dogs,Xiao-Bao and Shan-Shan were on board of two Model T-7A(S2)rockets separately.Duration of flight was about 25 min and height about 70 km.Four physiological parameters:electrocardiogram,blood pressure,breath and skin temperature were recorded.Results Both of two dogs returned safely and healthy.The physiological parameters of Xiao-Bao were successfully recorded on the first rocket.On the second one,partial data of Shan-Shan were interfered by the strong vibration during the separation of rocket body and cone.The obvious changes of heart rate,ECG and blood pressure were recorded for Xio-Bao to be affected by the effects of hyper-gravity and microgravity factors.These changes were normal,temporal and reversible physiological stress responses.Conclusion The dog can tolerate the action of variable factors during the T-7A(S2)flight and no pathological after-effects were observed.
5.Treatment of triple negative breast cancer

6.Acute Toxicity Test of Baicalein Capsule in Mice

Objective To observe the acute toxic reaction and death of mice one day after intragastric administration of Baicalein capsule so as to appraise its safety.Methods The ICR mice were intragastrically administered with Baicalein powder at maximum concentration. There was no death of mice found and no LD50 detected. Hence the maximum dosage was measured. Results The maximum dosage of Baicalein powder is 15g/kg. Conclusions The Baicalein capsule is relatively safe.

9.The relationship of pancreatic exocrine function with the staging and the size of tumor in the patients with pancreatic cancer

Objective To investigate the relationship of pancreatic exocrine function with the pancreatic cancer staging and the size of tumor. Methods N-benzoyl-tryrosyl para-aminobenzoic acid (NBT- PABA) test was used to measure the pancreatic exocrine function of 39 pancreatic cancer patients, 46 chronic pancreatitis patients and 20 normal subjects. In pancreatic cancer group, the relationship of pancreatic exocrine function with the size of tumor (TS) and JPS classification (T factor) was analysed. Results The rate of NBT-PABA excretion in normal subjects, chronic pancreatitis patients were (78.9±15.9)%, (58.6± 19.3)%, respectively; in mild, moderate, severe chronic pancreatitis patients, the values of NBT-PABA were (75.5±23.6)%, (57.9±21.5)%, (45.5±16.7)% ; respectively. The rate of NBT-PABA excretion in pancreatic cancer patients was (47.6±18.3)%, and the rate of NBT-PABA excretion in patients with T3+T4 stage was (42.2±21.70%, and was obviously less than (64.8±11.2)% of T1+T2 stage (P<0.05). Tthe rate of NBT-PABA excretion in patients with TS3+TS4 was (34.8±17.2)%, and was significantly lower than (55.6±23.5)% of TS1+TS2(P<0.05). The rate of NBT-PABA excretion in patients with pancreatic head cancer was (42.5±16.4)%, which was significantly lower than (71.8±9.6)% of the pancreatic body and tail (P<0.05). In the 33 patients with pancreatic head cancer, the rate of NBT-PABA excretion in patients with main pancreatic duct stricture was (54.2±14.1) %, which was significantly higher than (37.6± 14.1)% of patients with main pancreatic duct interruption (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in pancreatic exocrine function between pancreatic cancer and moderate or severe chronic pancreatitis.Conclusions The pancreatic exocrine function was related to the pancreatic cancer staging and the size of tumor to some degree,but it was affected by mass location,and it was also affected by degrees of the pancreatic duct obstruction. The pancreatic exocrine function can not be used to differentiate pancreatic cancer from moderate or severe chronic pancreatitis.
