1.The design and development of a portable thermostat apparatus for medical liquid based on Single-Chip-Microprocessor

Objective:Some medical liquid needs to be heated to the human body temperature, so the constant temperature case is a necessary equipment. But the common constant temperature case is often bulky, inconvenient application and the price is very high, so this paper is mainly to develop a convenient and cheap thermostat device for medical liquid heating.Methods:The system used single-chip microcomputer for temperature control. The temperature sensor collected and displayed the temperature of the box when the temperature was set up. Then the heating module started when the temperature was lower than the set point, and stopped heating when reaching to the set point.Results: The temperature control effect of constant temperature case tested by calibrated mercury thermometer, the temperature of constant temperature case was not significantly different from that of mercury thermometer.Conclusion: The portable constant temperature case for medical liquid have the characteristics of precise temperature control, high temperature resolution, and small temperature fluctuations. It can meet the clinical needs and be worth to popularizing in clinical applications.
2.Changes of sodium channel of ventricular cells after acute pancreatitis

Objective To study the changes of sodium currents(I_(Na))of ventricular cells in rats after acute pancreatitis.Methods Rats'models of acute panereatitis were produced by injecting sodium taurocholate into the pancreatic duet.After 24 hours,single ventrieular cells was isolated enzymatieally,and I_(Na),were recorded by using patch clamp techniques.Results I_(Na) peak from ventricular cells in the acute panereatitis group was significantly reduced(- 6.80?2.03)pA/pF compared with that in control group(-13.55?5.33)pA/pF,P<0.001.The steady-state inactivation curve was shifted to upward direction,the half-maximal voltage dependence of inactivation(V_(0.5))was(-121?26)mV in ventrieular cells from panereatitis group and(-105?21)mV form the control group.I_(Na) returned to normal more slowly in ventrieular cells from panereatitis group than that from control group.Conclusion Inhibitation of I_(Na) was found in ventrieular cells,which might cause arrhythmias in rats with acute pancreatitis.
3.Effects of thyroxine on β-adrenoceptors expression of peripheral lymphocyte in elderly patients with congestive heart failure

Objective To determine whether the supplementation of thyroid hormone(TH)improves β-adrenoceptors(β-AR)density and expression of peripheral blood lymphocyte in elderly patients with chronic heart failure(CHF). Methods A total of 42 elderly patients with advanced CHF(NYHA classⅢorⅣ)due to dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM)or ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM)were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group.Low-dose L-thyroxine(LT50)was added to the treatment group,both groups had routine anti-heart-failure treatment.Before and after 1 month of treatment,125I-Pindolol radioligand binding assay was used to measure β-AR in peripheral lymphocytes.Reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)was used to measure β1-AR expression in peripheral lymphocytes. Results The density and expression of β-AR of lymphocytes in patients with CHF due to ICM or DCM were lower than those in normal health people.and the serum TH level in patients with CHF was lower than that in normal health people.The L-T4 administration induced an up-regulation of β-AR density and expression in peripheral lymphocytes. Conclusions Thyroxine administration induces an up-regulation of β-AR density and expression in peripharal lymphocytes.
4.Comparison of the diagnostic value of MRI diffusion weighted imaging with ultrasound and mammography in the breast disease

Objective To explore the clinical value of diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) in the diagnosis of breast disease ,and compared with ultrasound and mammography .Methods The clinical data of 28 patients who were pathologically confirmed with breast cancer were retrospectively reviewed .The diagnostic accuracy of DWI ,mammogra-phy and ultrasound , the surface diffusion coefficients ( ADC value ) were statistically analyzed .Results ( 1 ) DWI scan:the diagnostic accuracy of malignant tumor was 90.9%(20/22),the ADC value of malignant tumor was (0.955 ±0.199) ×10 -3mm2/s;the diagnostic accuracy of benign lesions was 83.3%(5/6),the average ADC value of benign lesions was (1.660 ±0.339) ×10 -3 mm2/s,there were statistically significant differences ( t=2.371,P<0.05).(2)Mammography:the diagnostic accuracy of malignant tumor was 81.8%(18/22),the diagnostic accuracy of benign lesions was 33.3%(2/6).(3) Ultrasound:the diagnostic accuracy of malignant tumor was 86.4%(19/22),the diagnostic accuracy of benign lesions was 50.0%(3/6).The diagnostic accuracy of malignant tumor had no significant difference among three techniques (χ2 =0.752,P>0.05),but for the diagnostic accuracy of benign lesions,DWI was better than ultrasound and mammography ,the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =6.146, P<0.05).Conclusion For the diagnosis of malignant breast tumors and benign lesions ,DWI is better than ultra-sound and mammography ,which has high clinical application value .
5.Efficacy Evaluation of Probucol and Metformin Sodium in the Treatment of Type 2 Diabetic Patients with Dyslipidemia

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy, especially the comprehensive improvement of blood glucose and lipid of probucol and metformin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with hyperlipidemia. Methods:Totally 105 patients with type 2 di-abetes mellitus complicated with hyperlipidemia were randomly divided into the control group1 (35 cases), the control group 2 (34 ca-ses) and the observation group (36 cases). The control group 1 was treated with diet control, exercise and metformin, the control group 2 was treated with rosuvastatin calclum tablets based on the group 1, and the observation group was treated with probucol based on the group 1. The three groups were continuously treated for 12 weeks. The improvement of the fasting blood-glucose (FPG), 2h postprandial blood glucose (PBG), hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C), fasting insulin levels (Fins), insulin resistance indices (HOMA-IR) and TC, TG and HDL-C, and the adverse reactions among the three groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate in the ob-servation group was higher than that in the control group 1 and 2 (P<0. 05). After the treatment, all the indices of blood glucose and lipid in the three groups were significantly improved (P<0. 05), and those of blood glucose in the observation were better than those in the control group 1 and 2(P<0. 05), those of blood lipid in the observation group and the control group 2 were better than those in the control group 1 (P<0. 05), and the level of HDL-C in the observation group was much higher than that in the control group 2 (P<0. 05). The adverse drug reactions in the three groups were mild without statistical significance (P>0. 05). Conclusion:Probucol as one of lipid-lowing drugs with antioxidant action combined with metformin can improve blood lipid and lower blood glucose at the same time, which is worthy of promoted application in clinics.
6.Application of pre-hospital emergency care intervention procedures in patients with acute cerebral hemorrhage

Objective To explore the effect of emergency pre-hospital care intervention procedures on patients with acute cerebral hemorrhage treatment. Methods One hundred and eighty patients with acute cerebral hemorrhage rescued in the ambulance of our hospital from June 2011 to June 2014 were selected as the observation group , and another 120 patients of acute cerebral hemorrhage escorted by family members to our hospital during the same period were set as a control group. The patients in the observation group were given guidance nursing, on-site emergency care, emergency care and hospital transit emergency care, and the patients in the control group were given rescue in the hospital. The two groups were compared in terms of effective transit time. Results The effective transit time for the patients in the observation group was (0.87 ± 0.19)h, significantly shorter than the control group (1.26 ± 0.35) h (P<0.05). The complication rate in the observation group was 22.22%, significantly lower than that of the control group (54.17%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Pre-hospital emergency care intervention for patients with acute cerebral hemorrhage can effectively shorten transit time, reduce complications and improve outcome and improve survival, worthy of promotion.
7.Correlation study between mental health status and stress, coping style and perceived social support in students with foreign nursing specialty

Objective To investigate the mental health status of students with foreign nursing spe-cialty and analyze its relationship with stress, coping style and perceived social support. Method The cluster sampling was conducted between students with foreign nursing specialty. The Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS), Symptom Check List-90 (SCL-90), and self-designed demographic questionnaires including demographic information questionnaire, College Students Stress Scale and Coping Style Questionnaire were employed. Results Students with foreign nursing specialty obtained significantly higher scores in all factors of SCL-90 when compared to the national youth norm,and obtained significantly higher scores in factors of somatization, obsession, anxiety, fear and psychotic diseases when compared to the norm of college students. The multifactor analysis of mental health status in students with foreign nursing specialty showed that soma-tization factors contained personal stress, seeking help, family supports and other supports;obsession factors contained personal stress, negative life events, academic stress and solving problem;interpersonal sensitivity factors contained personal stress, academic stress, solving problem, self-blame, fantasy and retreat; depres-sion factors contained personal stress, academic stress, solving problem, self-blame and other supports;anxiety factors contained personal stress, academic stress, fantasy, self-blame, family supports and other supports; hostility factors contained personal stress, seeking help, retreat, fantasy and other supports; fear factors contained personal stress, academic stress, seeking help, retreat and fantasy; crankiness factors con-tained personal stress, academic stress, solving problem, retreat, self-blame, family supports and friend sup-ports; factors of psychotic diseases contained personal stress, academic stress, solving problem, self-blame and friend supports;and factors of other symptoms contained personal stress, negative life events, academic stress, retreat, self-blame, family supports, friend supports and other supports. Conclusion The mental health status of students with foreign nursing specialty was inferior to the norms of national youths and col-lege students. It was negatively correlated with stress, active coping style, friend supports and other supports;while positively correlated with passive coping style (except escape) and family supports. Therefore, mental health education toward students with foreign nursing specialty should be strengthened in order to reduce their stress, improve their coping style, enhance their social supports, and finally promote their mental and physical development.
8.Recurrent swelling of lower limbs (lymphedema) as manifestations of idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome: a case report

A 21-year-old male was hospitalized for recurrent swelling of lower limbs (lymphedema) for 1 year and worsening of it for 1 week.Physical examination revealed several smooth,firm enlarged lymph nodes of the neck,groin without apparent tenderness measuring about 1 cm in diameter.Cardiac and pulmonary auscultation showed no obvious abnormality.The abdomen was soft on palpation without tenderness or rebound tenderness.Skin examination revealed swelling of both lower limbs,especially the left lower limb,as well as scattered irregularly sized,dark erythematous patches with a wood-like consistency on the swollen lower limbs,with high temperature but no tenderness.Elevated peripheral eosinophil count was observed before and after admission,with the eosinophil percentage higher than 70%.Vascular ultrasonography showed thrombosis in the right anterior tibial artery,left dorsal artery of foot and lower portion of the left great saphenous vein.Multiple enlarged lymph nodes were found by computed tomography in the mediastinal,bilateral axillary,retroperitoneal regions and around the abdominal aorta.Lymph node and bone marrow biopsies showed eosinophilia.Histopathology of lesions on the extensor aspect of the left medial thigh and left lateral malleolus showed massive eosinophilic infiltration and lymphatic dilation in the dermis,as well as eosinophil emboli in some lumens.The FIP1L1-PDGFRA fusion gene was undetected.A diagnosis of idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome was finally made.The symptoms rapidly regressed after glucocorticoid treatment.
9.Influence factors for immediate outcome after thymectomy for patients with myasthenia gravis

Objective To investigate the influence factors for immediate outcome after thymectomy for patients with myasthenia gravis (MG). Methods The clinical data of 108 patients with MG who received thymectomy in the Department of Thoracic Surgery, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from July 2009 to July 2012 were retrospectively investigated, including gender, age, duration of disease, clinical classification, pathological classification of thymus and anti-acetylcholine receptor antibodies (AChRab). The immediate outcome after thymectomy was also observed. Thirty-two cases of MG who had immediate outcome after thymectomy were enrolled into experimental group, while 76 cases who did not have immediate outcome after thymectomy were regarded as control group. Results The immediate outcome after thymectomy was associated with duration of disease (χ2=98.550, P<0.01), clinical classification (χ2=40.434, P<0.01), pathological classification of thymus (χ2=11.154, P=0.004) and AChRab (χ2=5.590, P=0.018). There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in the one-year (31.3% in the experimental group vs 14.5% in the control group, χ2=4.046, P=0.044), two-year (40.6% vs 21.1%, χ2=4.392, P=0.036) and three-year complete remission rates (46.9% vs 25.0%, χ2=4.995, P=0.025). Conclusion Duration of disease, clinical classification, pathological classification of thymus and AChRab could be influence factors for immediate outcome and complete remission for patients with MG after thymectomy.
10.Application of surface-enhanced laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry in screening breast cancer markers

Objective To explore the application of serum SELDI proteomic patterns to screen breast cancer biomarkers.Methods Serum protein profiles of 110 breast cancer patients and 100 healthy controls were analyzed with surface-enhanced laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (SELDI-TOFMS).The spectra were generated on weak cation exchange (WCX2) chips and protein peaks clustering and classification analyses were made using Biomaker Wizard software.Differences in protein intensity between breast cancer cases and controls were measured with the Mann-Whitney U test and adjusted for confounding in a multivariate logistic regression model.Results Forty-nine of these proteins were found to have statistically differential expression levels between breast cancer and normal control sera (P < 0.05).Based on literatures reported,six protein biomarkers,with mass-to-charge ratio (M/Z) (4376,8126,8924,3264,3968,and 9180) were selected.Proteins with M/Z 4376,4126,and 8924 were statistically significantly decreased in breast cancer cases compared to those in healthy controls (P < 0.05).Proteins with M/Z 3264,3968,and 9180 were significantly increased in breast cancer cases compared to those in healthy controls,Protein with M/Z 9180 was associated with TNM stage and Her-2 expression in breast cancer (P < 0.05).Protein with M/Z 8926 was related with lymph node metastasis (P <0.05).Conclusion These results suggest that serum SELDI protein profiling can distinguish breast cancer patients from normal subjects with relatively high sensitivity and specificity.SELDI-TOF-MS plays a valuable role in the diagnosis of breast cancer and the discovery of new tumor-specific protein biomarkers.
