1.The Value of CT Coronal Scan in Diagnosis of Invasion of Skull Base by Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Objective To evaluate the value of CT coronal scan in diagnosis of invasion of skull base by nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).Methods The status of the skull base of 186 cases with NPC showed by CT coronal and axial scan was analyzed retrospectively,these cases were proved by pathology.Results In the 186 cases of NPC,the invasion of the base of skull wasn't revealed in 98 cases(52.7%)by CT coronal and axial scan.CT coronal scan showed bone invasion in 5 cases(2.7%),while the invasion wasn't recognized by axial scan.By CT coronal scan,the invasion of skull base was confirmed in 9 and excluded in 16 of 25 cases(13.4%)in which the invasion was uncertain by axial scan.Wider and deeper invasion was recognized in 23 cases(12.3%) by coronal scan,though obvious invasion had been diagnosed after axial scan.Accordant invasion was displayed in 35 cases(18.8%) by CT coronal and axial scan.Conclusion CT coronal scan is valuable for demonstrating whether the base of skull is invaded or not and the position,range and degree of the invasion.Only by combining CT axial with coronal scan a complete and objective conclusion can be drawn.

Objective To explore the CT manifestations,incidence,etiology and clinical significance of hyperostosis frontalis in-terna (HFI).Methods CT features of 243 cases HFI were analyzed retrospectively.Based on the maximum thickness of the inner table of the frontal bone,HFI was classified into 4 grades as follows:GradeⅠ─ thickness of 2.8-6.0 mm,GradeⅡ─ thickeness of 6.1-10.0 mm,Grade Ⅲ ─ thickness of 10.1-14.0 mm,Grade Ⅳ ─ thickness of greater than 14.1 mm.According to the in-crassating direction,HFI was classified into inward,outward and intermediate type.Results The inner table of the frontal bone was incrassated in all cases (n=243).The thickness ranged between 2.93 mm and 14.64 mm,including GradeⅠin 68 cases (28.0%), GradeⅡin 71 cases (29.2%),Grade Ⅲ in 69 cases (28.4%)and Grade Ⅳ in 35 cases (14.4%).There were inward type in 82 ca-ses (33.7%),outward type in 59 cases (24.3%)and intermediate type in 102 cases (42.0%).The incidence of HFI was 5.47% in postmenopausal women,with 7.14% in overweight and 9.09% in obese women respectively.Conclusion HFI is common in the postmenopausal women,and CT manifestations of HFI are characteristic.
3.The application effect of sacubitril valsartan in patients with chronic heart failure

Objective To explore the application effect of sacubitril valsartan in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A total of 66 CHF patients admitted to Xinyu Yuanhe Hospital from September 2021 to September 2022 were selected and divided into control group and study group according to random number table method,with 33 cases in each group.The control group was treated with benazepril + spironolactone + metoprolol,and the study group was treated with sacubitril valsartan + spironolactone + metoprolol.The clinical efficacy,ventricular remodeling,cardiac function,serum factor levels and adverse reactions were compared between two groups.Results The total effective rate in study group was significantly higher than that in control group(χ2=5.974,P=0.015).After treatment,left ventricular mass index,myocardial wall stress,left ventricular posterior wall thickness,left ventricular ejection fraction,N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),angiotensin Ⅱ and aldosterone in study group were significantly lower than those in control group,and left ventricular remodelling index,stroke volume and left ventricular end-diastolic volume were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The treatment effect of sacubitril valsartan in CHF patients is significant,which can effectively improve cardiac function indicators,reverse ventricular remodeling,reduce serum NT-proBNP level,and have fewer adverse reactions.

Objective To determine the effects of Tempol, one of the nitroxides, in the presence of ultraviolet-AI (UVA1, 340 nm -400 nm) on superoxide enzyme (SOD) activity, lipid peroxidation, and expression of collagen Ⅰ, collagen Ⅲ and matrix metalloproteinases (MMP)-1, MMP-3 in human dermal fi broblasts in vitro. Methods Fibroblasts were irradiated by a single exposure to UVA1 and at the same time incubated with or without Tempol, and detected 24 h later. SOD activity and lipid peroxidation, as shown by accumulation of malondialdehyde (MDA), were detected by biochemical assay. Objective To observe the effects of traditional Chinese medicine aqueous extract on acne vulgaris models of rabbit's ear.We observed the medical effects of traditional Chinese medicine aqueous on rabbit's ear acne vulgaris models.Methods 7 twelve-week's old male rabbits were selected to establish acne vulgaris models by Kligman method.Coal tar was daubed at the opening of rabbits' ears tubes about 2 cm × 2 cm areas by the frequency of once a day for two weeks.Then 50 μl bacterial suspension of the propionibacterium acnes was subcutaneously injected into each ear of rabbit at the seventh day which concentration of propionibacterium acnes was 1.0)× 108 CFU/ml.14 ears of rabbits were divided into 7 groups randomly after the molds were finished,two ears per group.6 group ears of rabbits were daubed with TCM aqueous extract respectively,while the last group was daubed with physiological saline on one ear and fusidic acid cream on the other one,once a day.At last,the treatment effects and adverse reactions were observed respectively on the 7th day,15th day and 21st day.Results The sWollen rabbits' ears were reclined and even disappeared in groups with six kinds of TCM aqueous extract after 7 days;the local hair follicles corneous plugs became flattened,pimples and comedos reduced in groups with aqueous extract of Cortex phellodendri,Scutellaria baicalensis and Rhubarb.Conclusions Aqueous extracts of Cortex phellodendri,Scutellaria baicalensis,Rhubarb,Sophora flavescens,Honeysuckle and Forsythia have therapeutical effects on rabbifs ear acne vulgaris models.
6.Antimicrobial activities of traditional Chinese medicine aqueous extract on propionibacterium acnes in vitro

Objective To observe the effects of 19 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) aqueous extracts in vitro on the standard and clinical strains of propionibacterium acnes.Methods We collected lesion contents of acne vulgaris patients and conducted anaerobic cultivation of propionibacterium acnes at 35 ℃ for forty-eight hours.After tested by oxygen resistance experiment,Gram staining microscopy,catalytic test,nitrate test and sugar fermentation experiment,ANI anaerobic identification card,and VITEK fully-automatic microbe instrument,the strains were identified as propionibacterium acnes.We used AGAR dilution method to test the MIC values of various TCM aqueous extracts.Results The MIC values of Cortex phellodendri,Scutellaria baicalensis,and Rhiubarb were 25 mg/ml,respectively;the MIC values of Sophora flavescens and Honeysuckle were 50 mg/ml;the MIC values of Forsythia was 100 mg/ml.13 kinds of TCM aqueous extract did not produce bacteriostasis at the highest concentration of 200 mg/ml including Belvedere fruit,Chinese bulbul,Hedyotis diffusa,Houttuynia cordata,Purslane,Yerbadetajo herb,Radix isatidis,Lithospermum erythrorhizon,Folium isatidis,Taraxacum,Semen plantaginis,Angelica dahurica,and Fructus cnidii.Conclusions Aqueous extracts of Cortex phellodendri,Scutellaria baicalensis,Rhubarb,Sophora flavescens,Honeysuckle and Forsythia have good inhibitory effects in vitro on Propionibacterium acnes.
7.Factors affecting emotional intelligence among postgraduates

Objective:
To investigate the current status and influencing factors of emotional intelligence among postgraduates, so as to provide the evidence for promoting the mental health of postgraduates.
Methods:
The postgraduates from higher education institutions in Guizhou Province were selected using stratified cluster sampling method from November to December 2023. Demographic information such as gender, college, professional discipline and monthly family income were collected using questionnaire surveys. Stress perception was investigated using the Chinese version of the Stress Perception Scale. Emotional intelligence was investigated using the Chinese version of the Emotional Intelligence Scale. The influencing factors for emotional intelligence were analyzed using a multiple linear regression model.
Results:
Totally 728 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 94.42%. There were 262 males (35.99%) and 466 females (64.01%). The mean score of emotional intelligence was (77.98±15.71) points, the mean score of emotional assessment was (20.57±4.50) points, the mean score of emotional regulation was (18.63±5.22) points, the mean score of emotional using was (18.90±4.87) points, and the mean score of emotional recognition was (19.89±4.73) points. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that professional discipline (economics and law, β'=0.108), monthly family income (3 000-5 000 yuan, β'=0.091; >5 000 yuan, β'=0.086) and stress perception (β'=-0.515) were associated with emotional intelligence among postgraduates.
Conclusion
The emotional intelligence among postgraduates was influenced by professional discipline, monthly family income and stress perception.
8.Clinical application of follicle unit extraction and long hair transplantation

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of follicle unit extraction (FUE) and non shaving long hair implantation.Methods:Fifty individuals seeking beauty were selected to use FUE non shaving long hair implantation surgery for hairline reshaping or local hairthinning thatch. They were followed up for 12 months to evaluate the coverage rate, aesthetic effect, adverse reactions, and patient′s satisfaction of hair implantation.Results:Among the 42 patients seeking beauty, the hair in the affected area grew well and looked beautiful and natural after surgery. The donor area had no infection, no obvious scars, and no awkward period. Four patients with poor survival after hair transplantation underwent secondary implantation. Four patients were dissatisfied with the occurrence of a large amount of hair loss during the replacement period in the affected area. But after one year, the final effect was satisfied.Conclusions:FUE non shaving long hair transplantation is safe and effective in improving hairline and other small area hair transplantation, with a high survival rate and beautiful results. There is no obvious awkward period after surgery, with high rate of satisfaction.
9.Influence of perfectionism, perceived stress, and social connectedness on work immersion of clinical nurses

Objective To explore the influence of perfectionism on work immersion of clinical nurses, and to analyze the roles of perceived stress and social connection in the relationship between perfectionism and work immersion. Methods A total of 646 clinical nurses from three tertiary-A hospitals in Guangzhou City were selected as the research subjects using the convenience sampling method. The perfectionism, perceived stress, social connectedness, and work immersion of clinical nurses were assessed using the Chinese version of the Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, Perceived Stress Scale, Social Connectedness Scale and Work Immersion Scale. Results The average scores for perfectionism, perceived stress, social connectedness, and work immersion among the clinical nurses were (80.3±12.6), (42.5±8.3), (88.1±16.8), and (42.5±8.3) points, respectively. Perceived stress partially mediated the relationship between perfectionism and work immersion, with an effect value of 0.06 and 95% confidence interval (CI) of (0.027-0.096), accounting for 21.6% of the total effect. Social connectedness moderated the initial path and direct path which perfectionism affected work immersion [standardized partial regression coefficients were -0.15 and 0.21, and 95%CI were (-0.210--0.082 ) and (0.140-0.281), respectively, both P<0.01). Conclusion Perfectionism may directly or indirectly affect the work immersion of clinical nurses, and perceived stress plays a partial mediating role, while social connectedness acts as a moderator in this relationship
10.Effects of miR-218-1-3p on Cell Proliferation, Cycle, and Apoptosis of Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Objective To investigate the effect of miR-218-1-3p on the proliferation,cycle,and apoptosis of A549 cells in non-small-cell lung cancer.Methods miR-218-1-3p was transfected into non-small cell lung cancer A549 cells by LipofectamineTM 2000 Reagent,and the expression of miR-218-3p was detected by real-time PC R.Invasion and migration were assayed using the Transwell method.The effect of miR-218-1-3p on the proliferation of A549 cells was assayed by the MTS method.Changes in the cell cycle and apoptosis of A549 cells transfected with miR-218-1-3p was detected by flow cytometry.Changes in indicators related to cell proliferation,cycle,and apoptosis were detected by fluorescence quantitative PCR.Results Compared to the control group,the cell proliferation of A549 cells was significantly inhibited (P < 0.05) and the proportion of cells in the S and G2-M phases was significantly decreased when miR-218-1-3p was up-regulated.In addition,compared with the control group,the early apoptotic rate was significantly increased by up-regulating miR-218-1-3p.We further detected indicators related to cell proliferation,cycle,and apoptosis and found that CYCLIN-D1 and BCL-2 were significantly downregulated.Conclusion miR-218-1-3p may inhibit proliferation,induce cell cycle arrest,and promote cell apoptosis of non-small cell lung cancer A549 cells by regulating CYCLIN-D 1 and BCL-2.
