Purpose: To evaluate the effect and safety of combination chemotherapy with oxaliplatin( L-OHP) plus 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)/folinic acid( CF) in advanced colorectal cancer( ACRC). Methods: 31 patients with ACRC entered the study. L-OHP 130 mg/m2 , iv infusion for 4 hours on day 1; CF 200 mg/m2 , iv infusion for 2 hours followed by 5-FU 500mg/ m , iv infusion for 4 hours from day 1 to day 5, repeated every 3 weeks. Results: There were 10 partial responses, 7 stable disease, 9 progressive disease, the response rate being 38. 5% . The main adverse effect was neuro-sensory toxicity which was seen in 90. 3% of the patients. Vomitting and diarrhea was observed in 58. 1% and 45. 2% of the patients respectively. Bone marrow suppression was mild. Conclusions: L-OHP combination with 5-FU/CF yields an encouraging response with acceptable toxicity in our study. Furthermore clinical reseach is worthwhile.

Aim To observe the effects of the ethyl ace-tate extract from Coreopsis tinctoria on glucose and lipid metabolism and liver, kidney function in diabetic rats. Method By high-sugar, high-fat diet combined with intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin ( streptozoto-cin, STZ ) Type 2 diabetes SD rat model was estab-lished. Model rats were randomly divided into six groups ( control group, model group, three dose groups Coreopsis tinctoria extract:low, middle, high 0. 15 g· kg-1;0. 3 g·kg-1;0. 6 g·kg-1 , positive drug met-formin 0. 16 g · kg-1 group ) . The control group and the model group were given physiological saline and the remaining groups intragastric administration coreofosis tinctoria extrat. Random blood glucose and body weight of rats were measured weekly. After 4 weeks of admin-istration, The rats were killed and rat serum was col-lected to detect serum lipids ( TC/TG/HDL/LDL ) , liver and renal function indicators, serum insulin, and glycated hemoglobin levels. Result Coreopsis tincto-ria ethyl acetate extract effectively reduced the diabetic rats random blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, serum triglycerides, LDL, total serum protein, serum creati-nine and uric acid levels, and increased serum white protein content in diabetic rats. Conclusion Coreop-sis tinctoria ethyl acetate extract can reduce blood glu-cose and lipid in diabetic SD rats and protect their liver and kidney function.

BACKGROUND: In vitro construction of tissue engineered cardiac muscle becomes a hot spot in recent years, and the selection and design of scaffold is the key link. However, there is lack of ideal cardiac tissue engineering scaffold material. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the novel biodegradable polyurethane in vitro, and to discuss the feasibility of polyurethane as cardiac tissue engineeru scaffold. METHODS: A new type polyurethane (PV-Lys) was synthesized using diphenylmethane-4,4'-diisocyanate as hard segment and lysine as expand chain. The tensile and suture strength were tested in vitro respectively, hydrolytic degradation was carded out in phosphate buffer saline of pH 7.4 at 37 ℃, and cytotoxicity was evaluated by MTT measurement and morphological observation. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The tensile strength of the polyurethane was up to (8.1±0.1) MPa, and the suture strength was (12.2+0.8) N. The average value of the mass loss of PV-Lys was (13.1+0.3)% at 8 weeks of in vitro hydrolytic degradation. MTT assay results showed that the cytotoxic grade of the novel PV-Lys was 0-1. Cell morphology observation showed that the L929 cells were spindle-shaped or tdangular with good stretch. This PV-Lys scaffold is with favorable mechanical property, cytocompatibility, biodegradable property, which meets the requirements of tissue engineering application.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize and improve the quality standards of Daziran wuhua yin. METHODS:TLC was used for the qualitative identification of Cichorii Herba,Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma and Gossampinus malabarica. HPLC was used for the contents determination of chlorogenic acid and tectoridin. The column was Diamonsil C18 with mobile phase of acetoni-trile-0.4% phosphoric acid(pH adjusted with to 2.05 with triethylamine)(10∶90,V/V,chlorogenic acid or 18∶82,V/V,tectoridin) at a flow rate of 1 ml/min,the detection wavelength was 327 nm(chlorogenic acid)or 265 nm(tectoridin),the column tempera-ture was 25 ℃,and the injection volume was 10 μl. RESULTS:TLC of Cichorii Herba,Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma and G. malabarica showed clear spots and good separation. The linear range was 19.7-98.7 μg/ml for chlorogenic acid (r=0.999 5) and 25.4-126.8 μg/ml for tectoridin(r=0.999 8);RSDs of precision, stability and reprosucibility tests were lower than 4%,average re-coveries were 97.01%-104.98%(RSD=3.64%,n=9)、98.44%-104.58%(RSD=1.84%,n=9). CONCLUSIONS:The optimized and improved standard is helpful for the quality control of Daziran wuhua yin.

Methods Ninety cases of cervical intervertebral disc herniation were collected from our hospital in July 2009 to December 2013,who were treated by ozone combined with radiofrequency thermocoagulation. The patients were followed up for at least 3~6 months and the improvement rate was calculated according to the Macnab improved standard. Results All the patients were followed up for at least 3~6 months, according to the Macnab standard improved,50 cases were excellent, good in 25 cases,in 10 cases and poor in 5 cases, the improve-ment rate was 94. 4%. Conclusion The treatment of cervical disc herniation by ozone combined with radiofrequency thermocoagulation is one of the interventional therapy methods, which is minimally invasive and relatively safe. The treatment method has the following advantages, such as,satisfactory effect, accurate operation safety, less complications and without destroying the stability of the spinal structure.
