Objective To explore a new technique to treat the benign stricture at hilar bile duct of plastic anastomosis, so as to obtain the theoretical basis and the feasibilities of practical application in treating the benign stricture at hilar bile duct with plastic anastomosis through the animal experiments. Methods 30 miniature pigs were randomly divided into three groups. Group A (control group):2 centimeters of the bile duct above the duodenum was isolated;Group B:The same separation of bile duct with group A, then making physical injury on it with the clamps and electric heat;Group C:Making bile duct injury model in group C as group B,and then monitoring of the diet, feces, urine, ALT, AST and bilirubin etc. When the bile duct stricture was formed, taking the plastic anastomosis operation in this group. After all the operations, we observed the diet, mental state and the color of the urine of animals in all the three groups, and tested ALT,AST,T-BIL and D-BIL levels on the pre- and post-day and every 7 days after surgery respectively. After three months of the surgery,we executed all the pigs, picked up part of the liver tissue, then preserved them by liquid nitrogen for pathological examination. Results From the day before operative-day to the 30 days after operation, there was no significant change in ALT, AST, T-BIL and D-BIL in group A,while the relative indicators of group B and C had obvious changes ( <0.05) . The indicators of group B were significantly increased 21 days after surgery, compared with pre-operation and 14 days after operation respectively ( <0.05) . In group C, the indicators were significantly declined 14 to 21 days after the plastic anastomosis compared with pre-operation (<0.05) . Conclusions Treating benign stricture at hilar bile duct of miniature pigs by plastic anastomosis is feasible and practicable. This study provides an experimental basis for clinical application of plastic anastomosis in treatment of benign stricture at hilar bile duct.

Objective:
To examine the effects and associated factors of the China Motivational Healthy Walking Program among occupational population.
Methods:
The 2016 China Motivational Healthy Walking Program recruited 29 224 participants from 139 demonstration areas for comprehensive prevention and control of chronic and non-communicable disease at national level and 70 at provincial level. Intervention on walking was carried out by adopting group and individual motivating measures. Walking steps were recorded by electronic pedometer. We used percent of days achieving 10 000 steps (P10 000), percent of days fulfilling continuous walking (PCW), and proportion of valid walking (PVW) steps to reflect walking quantity, pattern and quality of participants. Motivation intensity was measured by summing up scores of each motivating activity. Questionnaire-based online survey collected information about demographic characteristics, lifestyle risk factors and chronic diseases. This study finally included 12 368 individuals in the analysis. Multilevel logistic regression model was used to assess the effect of group and individual motivating measures on walking activity and corresponding associated factors.
Results:
Age of the study sample was (41.2±8.99) years, and 58.17% (7 194) of them were female. After 100-day intervention, the P10 000, PCW and PVW of all participants were 93.89%±14.42%,92.01%±15.97% and 81.00%±7.45%, respectively. The mean P10 000 and PCW increased with rising group-motivated scores, self-motivated scores and individual-activity scores (

Objective:To investigate the value of growth differentiation factor-15 (GDF-15) and extravascular lung water index (EVLWI) in severity grading and prognosis prediction of patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).Methods:Patients with ARDS aged 18-75 years admitted to the department of respiratory intensive care unit (RICU) of Zhengzhou Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University from January 2019 to February 2020 were enrolled. All patients were treated with conventional therapies such as mechanical ventilation, anti-infection, stabilization of water, electrolytes and acid-base environment, blood purification and nutritional support according to their conditions. Besides, the pulse-indicated continuous cardiac output (PiCCO) was performed after admission to the department, and EVLWI before treatment and at 24, 48 and 72 hours of treatment were recorded. Serum GDF-15 level was measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) during the same period. Patients were classified as mild, moderate, and severe degree according to the 2012 Berlin Definition of ARDS, and EVLWI and GDF-15 levels in patients with different disease levels before and after treatment were compared. In addition, the length of intensive care unit (ICU) stay, ICU mortality, and 28-day mortality of patients with different GDF-15 or EVLWI levels were analyzed comparatively, with the GDF-15 3 458 ng/L and EVLWI 15 mL/kg as the cut point. Results:A total of 82 patients with ARDS were enrolled, including 22 patients with mild ARDS, 28 patients with moderate ARDS, and 32 patients with severe ARDS. The GDF-15 and EVLWI levels in patients with moderate and severe ARDS at each time point before and after treatment were higher than those in patients with mild ARDS. Both GDF-15 and EVLWI levels in patients with severe ARDS were higher than those in the patients with moderate ARDS. The differences were statistically significant at all the time points except for the difference of GDF-15 levels at 24 hours after treatment (ng/L: 3 900.41±546.43 vs. 3 695.66±604.73, P > 0.05). [GDF-15 (ng/L): 3 786.11±441.45 vs. 3 106.83±605.09 before treatment, 3 895.48±558.96 vs. 3 333.29±559.66 at 48 hours, 3 397.33±539.56 vs. 3 047.53±499.57 at 72 hours; EVLWI (mL/kg): 19.06±1.91 vs. 14.31±1.50 before treatment, 18.56±2.23 vs. 13.26±1.69 at 24 hours, 17.23±1.76 vs. 12.45±1.36 at 48 hours, 15.47±1.81 vs. 11.13±2.19 at 72 hours, all P < 0.05]. According to the cut-off value, there were 23 patients with GDF-15 ≥ 3 458 ng/L and GDF-15 < 3 458 ng/L respectively and there were 23 patients with EVLWI ≥ 15 mL/kg and EVLWI < 15 mL/kg respectively. The length of ICU stay and 28-day mortality in patients with high GDF-15 were significantly higher than those in patients with low GDF-15 [length of ICU stay (days): 21.22±2.69 vs. 15.37±3.14, 28-day mortality: 56.5% vs. 21.7%, both P < 0.05]. The length of ICU stay and 28-day mortality in patients with high EVLWI were also significantly higher than those in patients with low EVLWI [length of ICU stay (days): 18.45±2.61 vs. 14.98±2.75, 28-day mortality: 47.8% vs. 17.4%, both P < 0.05]. Conclusion:To some extent, GDF-15 and EVLWI levels reflect the severity of patients with ARDS, and high GDF-15 and EVLWI levels are significantly associated with poor prognosis in patients with ARDS.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2022;40(6):662-667
OBJECTIVES:
This work aimed to synthesize a novel injectable alginate impression material and evaluate its accuracy.
METHODS:
Certain proportions of sodium alginate, trisodium phosphate dodecahydrate, potassium fluorotitanate, diatomaceous earth, and other ingredients were dissolved in water and mixed evenly with a planetary centrifugal mixer to obtain a certain viscosity base paste. Certain proportions of calcium sulfate hemihydrate, magnesium oxide, glycerin, and polyethylene glycol (PEG) 400 were mixed evenly with a planetary centrifugal mixer to obtain the reactor paste with the same viscosity as the base paste. The base and reactor pastes were poured into a two-cylinder cartridge at a 2∶1 volume ratio. A gun device was used to accomplish mixing by compressing materials into a mixing tip. The samples were divided into three groups: injectable alginate impression materials (IA group) as the experimental group, and Jeltrate alginate impression materials (JA group) and Silagum-putty/light addition silicone rubber impression materials (SI group) as the two control groups.
RESULTS:
Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that the injectable alginate impression materials had a denser structure and fewer bubbles than the commercial alginate impression material. The accuracy of the three kinds of impression materials was evaluated by 3D image superposition. The deviations between the three test group models and the standard model (trueness) were 49.58 μm±1.453 μm (IA group), 54.75 μm±7.264 μm (JA group), and 30.92 μm±1.013 μm (SI group). The deviations of the models within each test group (precision) were 85.79 μm±8.191 μm (IA group), 97.65 μm±11.060 μm (JA group), and 56.51 μm±4.995 μm (SI group). Significant differences in trueness and precision were found among the three kinds of impression materials (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONS
The accuracy of the new injectable alginate impression material was better than that of the traditional powder-type alginate impression material but worse than that of the addition silicone rubber impression materials. The novel injec-table alginate impression material demonstrated good operation performance and impression accuracy, showing broad application prospect.
