A homozygous A to G transition (AGT to GGT) in codon 16 of growth hormone receptor (GHR) gene was found in one patient with idiopathic short stature(ISS), resulting in an amino acid change(Ser16Gly). This may be a novel GHR gene mutation; and another novel Arg43Gln GHR gene polymorphism was found in Chinese people.

ObjectiveTo investigate the mental health level of entrants.MethodsThe status of mental health of entrants in 05 class of Ningbo University was investigated with the Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90). The 8405 available samples were analyzed.ResultsThe prevalence of psychological symptoms of this group was 9.42%, while the levels of obsessive-compulsive, phobia and psychopathic deviate were significantly higher than that of the Chinese module. To the average level of mental health, female was inferior to male, non-single child in family was inferior to single child, students from towns and countries were inferior to those from cities; students with medical history or psychosis history in family had higher levels of symptomatology; students satisfied with their majority and received satisfied entrance education were superior to the ones who were not satisfied.ConclusionThe education of mental health for the entrants should be enhanced to raise their mental health level.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of high frequency color Doppler ultrasound combined with gastrointestinal filling in infants with duodenal obstruction . Methods One hundred infants who were suspected with duodenal obstruction underwent both gastrointestinal ultrasound and upper gastrointestinal tract ,put the surgical results as the ?gold standard ,the values of ultrasonic and upper gastrointestinal tract in the diagnosis of pediatric congenital duodenal obstruction were compared . Results The diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound and upper gastrointestinal tract in duodenal obstruction was 100%and 94% respectively ,the difference was statistically significant ( P = 0 .041) . The accuracy rate of obstruction location was 98 .04% and 84 .31% respectively , also was considered to denote statistical significance ( P = 0 .023 ) . The total diagnostic accuracy of congenital disorders caused by duodenal obstruction was 89% and 49% respectively ,and P = 0 .001 implies statistically significant difference . Conclusions There is a high diagnostic accuracy in high frequency ultrasound combined with gastrointestinal filling in children with congenital duodenal obstruction ,and the diagnosis of some diseases is better than that of the upper gastroenterography .

Objective To explore the clinical value of real-time shear wave elastography (SWE) in liver tissue stiffness of normal children.Methods Totally 243 normal children were examined by SWE.The data of liver stiffness measurement (LSM) were recorded and analyzed.The differences of LSM between different genders and hepatic segments were compared.According to the age,243 normal children were divided into pre-school group,school age group and adolescent group;and the differences of LSM between 3 groups were compared.The consistency was analyzed in different operators.Results The mean value of LSM in normal children was (4.21±0.70)kPa,and the 95％ confidence interval was (4.11,4.31)kPa.The success rate of segment S5 was higher than that of segment S4 (100％ [243/ 243] vs 79.83％ [194/243]),and the mean value of LSM in segment S5 was lower than that in segment S4 (P＜0.05).The mean value of LSM increased with age,and the boys' was a slightly higher than the girls',but there were no statistical differences between them (all P＞ 0.05).LSM had good consistency in different operators,the intraclass correlation coefficient was 0.92.Conclusion SWE could be an objective and quantitative assessment in liver stiffness of children.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of high frequency ultrasound combined with esophageal filling in neonates with congenital esophageal atresia.Methods Fifty-eight newborns who were suspected with congenital esophageal atresia underwent ultrasound,the surgical results considered as the gold standard,then the ultrasound features of the congenital esophageal atresia were summarized.ResultsSeven cases were the type Ⅰ of the congenital esophageal atresia,1 case belongs to type Ⅱ,40 cases were considered as type Ⅲ,4 cases were classified type Ⅳ and 6 cases were type Ⅴ,the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound in congenital esophageal atresia was 96.55% and the classification accuracy was 89.65%.Conclusions High frequency ultrasound combined with esophageal filling has a high accuracy and can be used as a new diagnostic method in diagnosing neonates with congenital esophageal atresia,and it′s worthy of further research and promotion.

Fluorescence spectroscopy was used to investigate the efficiency of coupling peptides to gold nanoparticles via 1-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-3-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride-N-hydroxysuccinimide (EDC-NHS).The experiment conditions including buffer solution, pH value and concentrations of buffer solution, concentrations of NHS and EDC, concentration ratios of NHS to EDC, and coupling reaction time on the coupling efficiency were investigated and optimized.The experimental results indicated that the optimized experimental conditions were as follows: 25 mmol/L HEPES buffer solution, pH 7.0;2∶1 of concentration ratio of NHS to EDC, 0.4 mol/L NHS, 0.2 mol/L EDC, and coupling reaction time of 24 h.This study may provide references for the relative research involving coupling peptide or protein with gold nanoparticles

Objective To explore the efficacy and adverse reactions of improved VTD regimen (pirarubicin combined with vincristine and dexamethasone) plus low-dose thalidomide in patients of newly diagnosed multiple myeloma(MM).Methods Twenty-nine cases of newly diagnosed MM were enrolled in this study.The improved VTD regimen was intravenous injection vincristine 2 mg/d on the first day,intravenous drip pirarubicin 20-30 mg/d from the first day to the second day,and intravenous drip dexamethasone 8 mg/d from the first day to the tenth day.Twenty-eight days was one course of treatment.Response and adverse reactions were evaluated after 4 course of treatment.On the first day of chemotherapy,all the patients were orally administered thalidomide 50 mg/d.Three days later,thalidomide was added to 100 mg/d and chronically maintained if toxicities could be tolerated.Results There were 3 cases(10.3％) in complete response,12 cases (41.2％) in very good partial response,10 cases (34.5％) in partial response,3 cases (10.3％) in stable disease,and 1 case(3.5％) in progressive disease.The overall response rate was 86.2％.Main adverse reactions were myelosuppression,asthenia and constipation,all could be tolerated.Conclusion It has significant response rate and less side effects of improved VTD regimen plus low-dose thalidomide for the patients of newly diagnosed multiple myeloma,and deserves further clinical practice.

Objective Investigating the CT features and related prognostic factors of high-grade renal clear cell carcinoma.Methods The data of 141 patients with renal clear cell carcinoma treated by radical nephrectomy in our hospital from November 2012 to April 2017 were analyzed retrospectively.There were 102 males and 39 females.Age from 30 to 86 years old.The tumors were located in the left side in 73 cases and 68 in the right.The tumor size ranged from 1.6 cm to 12.7 cm.50 cases of clinical stage T1a,stage T1b 67 cases,24 cases above T2.All patients had CT examination before operation.According to the postoperative pathological nuclear grade,patients were divided into high grade group (Ⅲ-Ⅳ) and low grade group (grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ),clinical data and CT findings were compared between the two groups (tumor size,capsule,CT,with or without leafs,with or without hemorrhagic necrosis),survival situation after the operation.Result The results of CT examination of 141 cases of this study indicated there were 109 cases of complete capsule,85 cases of tumor showed lobulation,102 cases of tumor showed hemorrhagic necrosis,the average CT value is 10-72 HU,35.4 HU in average;enhanced CT value is 32-308 HU,102.1 HU in average.After pathological examination,the nuclear classification was 66 cases in high grade group and 75 cases in low grade group.The CT examination in thc high grade group and the low grade group showed the number of cases with complete capsule [44 cases (33.3％) vs.65 cases (13.3％)] and plain CT scan value [(38.9 ± 1.1) HU) vs.(32.3 ± 1.1) HU],the difference was statistically of significance (P ＜0.01).The high level of patients in group T1 and group above T2 stage were 46 cases and 20 cases.And the cases of low grade group were 71 cases and 4 cases,there was significant difference between two groups (P ＜ 0.01).The 141 cases were followed up for 2-58 months,with an average of 26.4 months.There was statistical significance difference between the two groups of T1 patients and patients above T2 (P ＜ 0.01).The results of CT examination were compared.There were significant differences in the case of intact capsule and the value of CT scan (P ＜ 0.01).The overall survival rate between the two groups was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The CT examination of high-grade renal cell carcinoma shows that most of the capsule is not complete and the CT value of the scan is much higher.The pathological grading of renal cell careinoma indicates the malignancy of tumor cells,which is closely related to prognosis.
