World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(6):1300-1304
This study was aimed to investigate rules of medicine selections of four Meng-He (MH) medical schools. Based on frequency analysis and Apriori algorithm of association rules, data mining was conducted on 60 cases of four MH medical schools in the treatment of Chuan syndrome. The results showed that among 60 cases, Xing-Ren (XR), Ban-Xia (BX), Fu-Ling (FL), Hua-Ju-Hong (HJH), Su-Zi (SZ) and Bu-Gu-Zhi (BGZ) were the most com-monly used single medicine. The most commonly used medicine groups were SZ-HJH-FL, XR-Y i-Y i-Ren (YYR), XR-HJH, XR-SZ and so on. It was concluded that four MH medical schools in the treatment of Chuan syndrome mainly used antitussive and antiasthmatic Chinese medicines such as YR, BX, SZ, and complemented with BGZ for deficiency-nourishing, FL for dampness-removing, HJH for qi-regulating. It provided references for the clinical practice and treatment of Chuan syndrome.

China Occupational Medicine 2022;49(2):140-147
Objective To investigate the effects of sub-chronic exposure of nickel oxide nanoparticles (Nano NiO) on
endocrine function of male SD rats, and to analyze the toxicity and mechanism of Nano NiO on testicular cells. Methods The
specific pathogens free male SD rats were randomly divided into five groups with ten rats in each group. Rats in low-,medium
and
high-dose groups were given Nano NiO suspension with the mass concentration of 0.16,0.80 and 4.00 g/L,respectively;
rats in blank control group were given equal volume of 0.9% sodium chloride solution;rats in positive control group were given
micron nickel oxide suspension with the mass concentration of 4.00 g/L. Drip every three days for nine weeks. After the Nano
NiO exposure, atomic fluorescence spectrometry was used to determine the levels of nickel in the blood and testicular tissue. The
enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect serum level of sex hormone. The ploidy ratio, cell cycle and apoptosis
rate of testicular cells were analyzed by flow cytometry. Western blotting was used to detect the relative expression of apoptosis
related
proteins in the testis. Results The level of nickel in blood and testicular tissue of rats in positive control group and the
three doses groups were higher than that of blank control group(all P<0.05). The level of nickel in blood and testicular tissue of
rats in the medium-dose and high-dose groups were higher than that in the positive control group(all P<0.05). There was a
positive correlation between the level of nickel in blood and testicular tissue(P<0.01). The serum levels of testosterone, follicle
stimulating
hormone(FSH)and luteinizing hormone(LH)in the medium- and high- dose groups were lower than that in blank
control group(all P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in serum gonadotropin-releasing hormone among all
groups(P>0.05). Compared with the blank control group, the proportion of haploid and diploid cells and the ratio of cells in G0/
G1 and S phase decreased in the medium- and high-dose groups(all P<0.05),the tetraploid cell ratio,G2/M cell ratio and
early apoptotic rate of testicular cells increased(all P<0.05). Compared with the blank control group, the relative expression of
B-cell lymphoma-2(BCL-2)protein and the ratio of BCL-2/BCL-2-related X protein(BAX)in testicular cells of rats decreased
in the medium- and high-dose groups(all P<0.05),the relative expression of BAX and caspase-3 protein were increased(all P<
0.05). Compared with the positive control group, the level of nickel in blood and testicular tissue of rats was increased in the
high-dose group(all P<0.05),the ratio of haploid cells and the ratio of testicular cells at G0/G1,S phase and BCL-2 /BAX ratio
in testicular tissue decreased(all P<0.05),the tetraploid ratio,G2/M phase ratio, early apoptotic rate and total apoptotic rate
of testicular cells increased(all P<0.05). Conclusion Exposure to Nano NiO could inhibit the secretion of FSH,LH and
testosterone in male rats. Nano NiO can cross the blood-testosterone barrier, interfere with the proliferation of testicular cells,
induce apoptosis of testicular cells through the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway, inhibit the formation of haploid sperm cells,
resulting in disorders of spermatogenesis.

Objective To explore the method of Oncomelania hupensis snail surveillance in transmission?interrupted re?gions of schistosomiasis,so as to provide a new pattern for the surveillance of snail status in the transmission?interrupted areas. Methods In Dongtai County, north of Jiangsu Province where the transmission of schistosomiasis was interrupted, the surveil?lance of snail status was performed by means of the village?level general survey, village?level sampling survey, snail survey in key settings of township and county, and snail reporting by residents. In addition, quality?control snail sites were set up for quali?ty control. The effectiveness and cost of the four methods of snail surveillance was compared. Results A total of 163 079 set?tings and 22 785.62 hm2 were surveyed in Dongtai County from 2008 to 2013,and 89 residual snail breeding sites were found, with a snail area of 1.48 hm2. The patterns of village?level general survey, village?level sampling survey, and snail survey in key settings of township and county were employed for investigation of 94 550,45 033 and 23 496 settings, consisting of 57.98%, 27.61%and 14.41%of total settings, and 2,0 and 6 settings were found with snails, with 0.021/thousand,0,and 0.255/thou?sand detection rates of settings with snail breading sites, respectively. The pattern of snail survey in key settings of township and county was more effective than that of village?level survey to detect snail breeding sites(χ2 =19.158,P=0). The recovery rate of quality?control snail breeding sites was 52.56%,38.27%and 73.62%for the three patterns of snail survey, respectively, and the pattern of snail survey in key settings of township and county showed a higher quality for snail survey than that of village?lev?el survey(χ2 =111.597 and 85.991,both P=0). During the period from 2008 to 2013,289 person?times reported 279 sus?pected snail habitats and 1 501 living snails, and no Oncomelania snails were found. During the 6?year period, there were 1617.5,964.7 and 527.7 thousand RMB invested for village?level general survey, village?level sampling survey, and snail sur?vey in key settings of township and county, and the cost of snail survey per hm2 was 129.88,133.6 and 162.57 RMB/hm2,re?spectively. The cost of village?level general survey and snail survey in key settings of township and county to detect a snail?breed?ing site was 808 800 and 88 000 RMB,respectively(t=12.850,P=0.000),and the cost of snail survey in key settings of town?ship and county was 10.88%of that of village?level general survey. Conclusion The snail survey in key settings of township and county is a highly effective and high?quality method for snail surveillance, which may serve as a prior way for the surveil?lance of snail status in the transmission?interrupted areas of schistosomiasis.

Undecylen was analyzed quantitatively. GC/MS method was used in the content determination of 4 kinds of components in Houttuynia cordata. GC conditions were that the temperature was firstly increased to 70oC for 5 min, and then 5oC·min-1 to 140oC for 5 min. Then, the temperature was increased by 10oC·min-1 to 250oC for 10 min. The temperature of the injection port was 230oC. The carrier gas was high purity helium. The flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1. The split ratio was 10:1. The sample quantity was 1 μl. MS conditions were that the detector was MS, EI was 70ev, the temperature of four poles was 150oC, the temperature of ion source was 230oC. The results showed that there was good linearity of four components, which were 4-terpineol, α-terpineol, bornyl acetate and methyl-n-nonylketone obtained within the ranges of 6.492~129.84μg·min-1, 1.097~21.944 μg·min-1, 12.128~242.56 μg·min-1, and 84.76~169.52 μg·min-1, respectively. The average recoveries of the four components were 81.2%, 80.6%, 88.3%, and 84.6%, respectively. The RSDs were 1.5%, 2.3%, 1.1%, and 0.7%, respectively. It was concluded that the method was simple, sensitive, and easy to operate. The simultaneous measurement of multiple indexes on the component for quality evaluation of Houttuynia cordata can effectively reflect the quality of Houttuynia cordata. It can also be used in the quality assessment of fresh Houttuynia c ordate .
