2.The use of self-reinforced absorbable(SR-PLLA) rods for cutting pelvis by Chiari way to cure Perthes disease
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 1986;0(03):-
Objective:To evaluate the results of treating Perthes disease by pelvic osteotomy and internal fixation with self-reinforced absorbable (SR-PLLA) rods. Methods:50 cases of Perthes disease(53 hips) were involved. According to Herring classification, there were 16 hips of type B ?5 hips of type B/C and 32 hips of type C. All patients were treated by pelvic osteotomy(Chiari)and internal fixation with self-reinforced absorbable (SR-PLLA) rods. Results:All cases were followed up for 2 months to 18 months, with an average of 6 months. All cutting bone was healed. There was no bacterial wound infection or sterile inflammatory foreign-body reaction. Failure of fixation was only occurred in one case. Bone union was seen 6 weeks to 12 weeks, with an average of 8 weeks. All patients restored normal hip joint function and had no pain. Conclusion:This operative technique is simple and can achieve reliable fixation. It can improve bone healing with a reduced healing time and avoid secondary a removal operation. This surgical procedure is an effective way to treat cutting pelvis in Perthes disease.
3.Hemodynamics of ocular artery and retinal central artery and its correlation with retinal f luoresceln angiography in primary open-angle glaucoma
Ophthalmology in China 1993;0(04):-
The hemodynamics of ocular artery (OA) and central retinal artery(CRA)in normal persons and patients (102 eyes, respectively)with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) were studied with color Doppler image technique. The results showed that average values of peak systolic flow velocity (Vmax), the end-diastolic flow velocity (Vmin) and the mean flow velocity (Vmeau)for the OA and CRA in glau-comatous patients we^e much lower than that in normal persons. But the mean resistance index (RI) was higher than that in normal persons. The linear regression analysis presented that there was a positive correlation of Vmin between the OA and CRA (r = 0.3278, p
4.Pay attention to ocular surface defects caused by topical antiglaucomatous medications or filtering surgery.
Ophthalmology in China 1993;0(01):-
The adverse effects on the ocular surface caused by long-term antiglaucomatous medications or filtering surgery have been documented by many researchers. However,in our clinical work emphasis on this issue is far from enough. Both antiglaucomatous drugs and filtering surgery can cause tear film dysfunction and conjunctival or corneal epithelium damage, which is the main cause of glaucomatous patients'ocular uncomfortable complaints.Early diagnosis and prompt management of the ocular surface dysfunction is of great importance for us to improve patients' local tolerance and decrease their ocular uncomfortable symptoms.
5.Review of Magnetic Resonance Diffusion-Weighted Imaging in Liver
Chinese Journal of Bases and Clinics in General Surgery 2003;0(03):-
Objective To review the examination techniques and the current research progress of the magnetic resonance diffusion weighted-imaging (DWI) used in liver. Methods The recent and relevant literatures about the principles and the current study situation of liver DWI were scrutinized and analyzed retrospectively. In addition, the existing problems of liver DWI were discussed. Results DWI could demonstrate the normal and abnormal structure and function through measuring the diffusion motions of water molecule in the liver. With the improving technology and better understanding of diffusion dynamics, DWI has been used for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis for hepatic diseases. Conclusion DWI as a non-invasive examine method, may provide valuable functional information for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
6.Effect on radiation-induced apoptosis of HeLa cells by inhibiting expression of NF-?B
China Oncology 2006;0(07):-
Background and purpose: NF-?B is activated by tumor necrosis factor, some chemotherapeutic agents, and ionizing radiation. The activation of NF-?B could result in inhibition of apoptosis.NF-?B,regulated by PDTC(pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate),is a specific inhibitor of NF-?B.The purpose of our study was to explore the impact of inhibiting expression of NF-?B on radiation-induced apoptosis of uterine cervix cancer HeLa cells. Methods:Inhibition of NF-?B in HeLa cells was performed by treatment with 100 ?mol/L PDTC for 2 hours.Cells were irradiated at 0,2,4 and 6 Gy with or without PDTC.The expression of NF-?B in nuclear was determined by western blot, and apoptosis was evaluated by using the TUNEL assay.Cell proliferation was evaluated by using MTT assay.Results:NF-?B activation was induced by radiation and inhibited by PDTC.Inhibition of radiation-induced NF-?B activation resulted in inhibiting cell proliferation(P
7.Research Advance in the Role of Toll-like Receptors in Hepatocarcinogenesis
Journal of Kunming Medical University 2016;37(7):121-125
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the second largest cause of cancer deaths worldwide.TLRs signal transduction pathways are related to the progress of HCC.As an innate immune recognition receptors on the surface of the cell,TLRs are involved in the ligand-mediated activation of various cells and the secretion of cytokines in liver through signal transduction, which is part of the cause and development of HCC.A better understanding of TLRs and these signaling pathways in the liver will help us understand the mechanism of hepatocarcinogenesis and provide a new therapeutic target for HCC.
8.Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A_2 as a predictor for severity of coronary atherosclerosis
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1981;0(04):-
Objective:To investigate whether plasma lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A_(2)(Lp-PLA_(2)) activity correlates with severity and stability of coronary atherosclerosis and other established cardiovascular risk factors. Methods: Coronary angiography(CAG) was performed in 180 hospitalized patients who were suspected as having coronary heart disease(CHD).The severity of pathological changes of the coronary artery was assessed by the number of diseased coronary branches and Gensini′s score.According to the results of CAG,the 180 patients were divided into 2 groups: CHD group(n=112) and non-CHD group(n=68).The CHD patients were further divided into subgroups according to the clinical types, the number of diseased coronary branches and Gensini′s score.Lp-PLA_(2) activity, white blood cell(WBC) count, high sensitive C reactive protein(hsCRP),lipids, blood pressure and body mass index were measured. The age,sex and prior medical histories including hypertension, diabetes mellitus and smoking status were obtained before CAG in all patients.Lp-PLA_(2),WBC count and hsCRP were compared statistically between the subgroups, and correlation coefficients of Lp-PLA_(2) activity with WBC count,hsCRP and other conventional risk factors for CHD were calculated. Results: Plasma Lp-PLA_(2) activity in CHD patients was significantly higher than that in controls(P

10.Surface Modification Technologies of Quantum Dots Based Biosensors and Their Medical Applications
Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2014;(7):1061-1069
Quantum dots( QDs) as a new type of nanostructured luminescent materials have been widely used in biology, materials science, and physical optics. QD-based biosensors can rapidly and accurately detect biological macromolecules or inorganic molecules both in vivo and in vitro. The surface of QDs, prior to their biological detection applications, needed to be modified to enhance their fluorescence properties and lower their biological toxicity. Currently, the surface modification technologies mainly include polymer modification, thiol compounds modification, mercapto propionic acid compounds modification and organic groups modification. Various biosensors can be developed by adopting different modification techniques, which have been adopted to locate and track a variety of biological molecules in vivo. Although a large number of literatures have reported the biological applications of QD-based biosensors, rare systematic reviews of surface modification technologies on QDs have been witnessed. In this paper, we reviewed the surface modification technologies of QDs in biosensors and their medical applications.
