Objective To analyse the relationship between vascular dementia in senitity and diffuse white matter lucencice.Methods Observing 54 patients older than 60 of diffuse white matter lucencice for three years with clinical methods CT and/or MRI.Diagnosing vascular dementia by MMSE and Hachinski.Results The degree of diffuse white matter lucencice within the 54 patients were 34 cases as first degree,14 cases as second degree, 6 cases as third degree in the first year, 17 cases, 19 cases and 18 cases in the second year restectively, 8 cases, 17 cases and 29 cases in the third year.The 6 cases of group suffer from the vascular dementia in senitity in the first year,13 cases in the second year,33 cases in the third year.The average annual growth was 32%.Conclusion Diffuse white matter lucencice is a critical factor of vascular dementia in senitity. The positive correlation between the degree of diffuse white matter lucencice and the occurrence of vascular dementia in senitity has been shown( r =0.82, P

Objective To examine the feasibility by applying the CT density-difference postprocessing in early diagnosis of middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion. Methods The possible MCA occlusion patients were scanned with CT in early stage (within 3 hours) and divided into two groups randomly.Each group included 50 samples and one was processed technologically by CT density-difference and the other one was not.The two groups were scanned once more in 24 hours later and the data being processed by statistical method. Results The results showed that the accurate diagnosis rates were 14.3% within 60 minutes,93.3% from 60 to 119 minutes and 100% from 120 to 180 minutes .In comparing these two groups,there appeared no significant differences in the situation within 60 minutes and there was found significant difference in the other two situations. Conclusion Applying the technology of CT density-difference postprocessing,the middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion in early stage might be diagnosed.

Objective Developmental validation studies were designed according to the standards of forensic DNA community on DNATyperTM15 kit,which simultaneously amplifies 14 STR loci(D6S1043、D21S11、D7S820、CSF1PO、D2S1338、D3S1358、D13S317、D8S1179、D16S539、Penta E、D5S818、VWA、D18S51、FGA)and amelogenin,a sex-determining locus.Methods Several key factors were tested including:Ⅰ.amount of hot-start Taq polymerase;Ⅱ.annealing temperature;Ⅲ.sensitivity;Ⅳ.reaction volume;Ⅴ.cycle number;Ⅵ.primer concentration.DNATyperTM15 was also compared with two other widely used commercial STR amplification kits,namely IdentifilerTM and PowerPlex.Results No difference in performance was observed with three lots of DNATyperTM15.Performance was not affected even after 20 times of repeated freeze-and-thaw.All three kits performed comparably in the following aspects:Ⅰ.sensitivity;Ⅱ.ability to genotype mixed samples;Ⅲ.amplification of DNA from various sample sources.DNA extraction methods(Chelex-100,magnetic beads,silica beads)did not result in any observable effect on performance with any of the three kits.Conclusion All the results demonstrated that DNATyperTM15 is suitable for both forensic DNA database work and casework.

Objective The study aimed to analyze the clinical features and the causes of hospital death among the 5720 acute myocardial infarction(AMI)patients from Cardiology Center,Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital during the last 8 years. Methods A total of 5720 AMI patients received treatment in the Cardiology Center from January 1st ,2002 to December 31th ,2009 were retrospectively reviewed. All patients were classified according to age into 3 groups of ≤45,46 -75,and ＞ 75 years old. The morbidity,cause of death ,whether they had the PCI therapy,mortality after PCI and the impact of gender on the cause of death were observed respectively. Results The morbidity rate of male was significantly higher than female in all three groups,and the study also found that the morbidity rate of female was significantly higher in the group of ＞ 75 years old,which however was still lower than that of male. The AMI patients were more likely to accept PCI therapy,which could significantly reduce the mortality rate. The top 3 causes of death included acute heart failure(AHF),cardiogenic shock(CGS)and AHF combined with CGS. In addition,AHF caused significantly more death in female and older(＞ 75 years old)patients. Conclusions The morbidity rate of AMI patients in Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital increased year by year. And PCI therapy could reduce the mortality rate of all groups. Revascularization treatment seems to be feasible and safe for the patients older than 75 years old.

Objective To investigate radioactivity levels in the main agriculture products around a uranium mine in Northern Guangxi.Methods The agriculture products and soil samples were collected and analyzed by using HPGe gamma ray spectrometer.Results The specific activity of 226Ra in radish (including leaf),radish leaves and radish,collected in one place,were 45.0,66.7 and 32.3 Bq/kg,respectively.Those of 226Ra and 23SU in the radish soil collected in the same place were 19 672 and 85 917 Bq/kg,respectively.The transfer coefficients of soil-to-radish and soil-to-leaves were 1.61 × 10-3 and 3.40 × 10-3,consistent with those reported in relevant literature.Radioactivity levels in agricultural products in another survey was in consistence with those in the national survey for food products.Radioactivity levels in soil elsewhere near the radish site was consistent with the results of the national soil radioactivive background survey.Conclusions The soil in this place has been contaminated by the nearby uranium mine.It is important to investigate this place further and take the necessary measures.

ObjectiveTo explore the in-hospital mortality and its determinants for very eldly (80 + years of age) patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).MethodsA retrospective cohort method was used.The 499 study subjects were very eldly patients with newly diagnosed AMI consecutively admitted into our department between January 1,2002 and February 22,2010.ResultsNinety-seven out of 499 patients died during hospitalization period,with total in-hospital mortality of 19.4％.Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed the independent determinants for mortality of very elderly AMI patients were cardiac Killip grades,complete A-V block,renal dysfunction,stent implant,and the type of AMI.Conclusions The independent determinants for mortality of elderly AMI patients are as following,cardiac Killip grade,complete A-V block,renal dysfunction,stent implant,and the type of MAI.Urgent PCI is safe and effective for some very elderly with AMI,which could improve their survival rate within hospitalization period.

Objective To evaluate the effect of levamlodipine intervention in diabetic nephropathy patients which accompanied with hypertension, using the technology of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) of functional magnetic resonance (fMRI).Methods A controlled prospective method was taken , and fifty diabetic nephropathy ( phase III) patients which accompanied with hypertension were randomized assigned to two groups of A ( n =26) and B ( n =24).Levamlodipine (2.5 mg qd) was taken by patients of group A and amlodipine (5 mg qd) was taken by patients of group B for 24 weeks, respectively.Two groups both took angiotensinⅡreceptor blockers (ARBs) as the first line antithypertensive agents , their urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER), serum creatinine (sCr), cystatin C (Cys C) , and DWI scanning were detected before and after intervention .The levels of UAER, apparent diffusion coeffi-cient (ADC) value were compared between two groups before and after intervention .During the 24th week, two groups'adverse reac-tion to the medicines and the levels of blood pressure were recorded in each follow-up visit.Results The levels of UAER, systolic blood pressure(SBP), and diastolic blood pressure(DBP) were Significantly lower in group A after 24-week intervention compared to baseline [42.5 (25.3~91.0)μg/min vs 49.2(29.7~96.8)μg/min,(112.6 ±6.4)mmHg vs (135.3 ±7.6)mmHg, (71.4 ± 10.7)mmHg vs (80.3 ±11.6)mmHg, P <0.05, respectively].DWI scanning showed that ADC value of renal parenchyma was sig-nificantly improved than that of baseline [(2.45 ±0.12)vs(2.17 ±0.09), P <0.05].In Group B, the level of SBP was also signifi-cantly lower than that of baseline [(121.5 ±11.6)mmHg vs (134.8 ±9.2)mmHg, P <0.05], and ADC value of renal parenchyma was significantly improved than that of baseline [(2.28 ±0.15) vs (2.14 ±0.09), P <0.05].No difference was found in DBP and UAER before and after intervention ( P >0.05).Group A had a better improvement of SBP (ΔSBP) and ADC (ΔADC) after inter-vention compared to group B ( P =0.02,0.01, respectively).The overall adverse reaction incidence was 15.4%(4/26) in group A and 41.7%(10/24)in group B, respectively (χ2 =4.27, P =0.0387).Conclusions For the diabetic nephropathy (phase III) pa-tients accompanied with hypertension , levamlodipine likely showed better effects on reducing comprehensive blood pressure and UAER , improving renal microcirculation , with less overall adverse reaction compared to amlodipine .

Objective To explore the application value of real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT-3DE) in diagnosis of structural heart disease through a comparison with two dimensional echocardiography (2DE).Methods Ninety-two patients with heart disease were enrolled from October 2009 to February 2014 , all of whom were examined by RT-3DE.By cutting and spiraling structural 3D images of lesions in regions of interest , we made a diagnosis of lesions .In addition, the size of atrial(ASD) and ventricular septal defects (VSD),based on surgical results,was measured and analyzed.By comparing the coherence and difference of diagnosis on structural heart disease examined by 2DE and RT-3DE, the accuracy and superiority of RT-3DE were evaluated.Results (1)The 3D images of 92 patients with heart disease were successfully obtained by RT-3DE.The structure of lesions was displayed directly from various angles .In addition, the position, scope and degree of lesions and the spatial relationship of adjacent structures were accurately confirmed.RT-3DE provided more direct, accurate and abundant information than 2DE.(2)In the diagnosis of congenital heart disease, the diagnostic accordance rate of RT-3DE was the same as that of 2DE, but was slightly higher in the diagnosis of valvular disease and other lesions .( 3 ) Compared with 2DE, the ASD maximum diameters obtained from RT-3DE were more correlaed with surgical findings (r=0.94,0.86),so were the VSD maximum diameters (r=0.93, 0.84).Conclusion RT-3DE is easy to operate and quick to produce image ,which can provide more spatial information than 2DE in structural heart disease diagnosis , increase the accuracy rate of diagnosis , and serve as a supplement to 2DE.

OBJECTIVETo optimize the extraction process of compund kaliziran gel.

METHODOrthogonal design was used to optimize the extracting process of eight herb medicines with the extract yield, the content of psoralen, isopsoralen and osthole as indexes, and to optimize the extracting process of Polygonum multflorumi and Seman sinapis albae with the extract yield and the content of 2,3,5,4'-tetrehydroxy-stilbene glucoside as indexes.

RESULTThe optimum extraction progress was as follows:eight herb medicines were extract 2 times for 1 hour with 8 times of 60% alcohol; P. multflorumi and S. sinapis albae were extract 2 times for 1 hour with 8 times of 40% alcohol.

CONCLUSIONThe optimum extraction processes are stable and feasible.
