Objective To establish the method for detemining the content of ephedrine hydrochloride in Zhike Pingchuan Tangjiang by HPLC. Methods Diamonsil ODS1 C_(18) Column was used with acetonitrile -0.1% phosphoric solution (with 0.1% triehylamine) (3 : 97) as the mobile phase, the detection wavelength as 205 nm, and flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. Results The calibration curve was linear at the range of 0.12~ 0.96 ?g for ephedrine hydrochloride and linear equation was Y= 109759X+3792.8, r=0.9998. The average recovery was 98.4% and RSD was 0.87% (n =5). Conclusion This method was simple, accurate and proper, with good reproducibility. It can be used for quantitative analysis of ephedrine hydrochloride in Zhike Pingchuan Tangjiang.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(09):-
Ojective To investigate the relationship between the serum adiponectin concentration and insulin resistance in patients with obesity and diabetic patients. Methods Fasting serum adiponectin concentration was measured by RIA in 19 normal subjects, 23 obese subjects, 31 diabetic patients without obesity and 26 diabetic patients with obesity. Results There was no significant difference in serum adiponectin concentration between nomal and obese subjects, and between type 2 diabetics without obesity and type 2 diabetics with obesity . The serum adiponectin concentrations was significantly higher in type 2 diabetics without or with obesity than that in nomal and obese subjects. There was significant difference in serum adiponectin concentration between female and male subjects. Body mass index (BMI), waist circumference(WC), waist-hip ratio (WHR), body fat percentage (BF%), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), insulin sensitivity index (ISI), triglyceride (TG) and high density lipoprotein-C (HDL-C) were significantly correlated with serum adiponectin concentration. A stepwise mulitiple linear regression analysis showed that HDL-C, FPG, WC, BF% entered the regression equation. Conclusion Serum adiponection level was associated with sex, obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus and insulin resistance.

International Eye Science 2014;(7):1223-1226
The progressive injury of retinal ganglion cells ( RGCs) is a common occurrence in several eye diseases, which ultimately may lead to irreversible blindness. Currently, there are still no effective or ideal treatments for it in practice, however some recent studies show that stem cell transplantation may provide a promising new idea for neuroprotection and replacement of retinal ganglion cells. This paper will review the research progress of stem cell transplantation-based treatment.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2017;33(6):406-409
Objective To provide evidence for clinical practice by analyzing the factors associated with bloodstream infection in ICU patients through retrospective case-control study. Methods Using self-made data collection form, 133 cases of blood sample record from HIS system during May 2013 to December 2015 at Peking Union Medical College Hospital ICU ward were collected. In this study, 54 patients with positive blood culture results were allocated to the case group while 79 patients with negative results were in the control group. Baseline characteristics, which included sex, age and chronic diseases, were almost the same between both groups. Binary Logistic regression analysis was used to identify factors related to blood infection. Results During May 2013 to December 2015, there were 54 blood infectious cases, among which 19 cases with positive gram bacteria accounted for 35.2%(19/54), 57.4%(31/54) of gram-negative bacilli and 7.4%(4/54) of fungal infection. Logistic regression analysis revealed that blood filtration treatment (OR=7.691), pulmonary infection (OR=7.682), ICU (OR=1.115), Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHEⅡ) scores(OR=1.096), procalcitonin (OR=1.065) were risk factors of bloodstream infection for ICU patients, while albumin (OR=0.763) was a protective factor. Conclusions Blood filtration treatment, pulmonary infection, hospital length of stay, APACHEⅡand procalcitonin are factors associated with bloodstream infection in ICU patients. Clinical procedures in ICU should mainly focus on improvement of prevention awareness, strict aseptic technology, professional quality of nursing staff. Besides, guarantee of patients′nutrition, effective treatment of primary diseases, and shortened hospital length of stay are also important to reduce the infection and improve quality of life of these patients.

Objective To determine the value of ischemia modified albumin,heart-type fatty acid-binding protein,B-type natri-uretic peptide and homocysteine in the risk stratification of patients with unstable angina pectoris;thus to provide an assessment for the condition of patients in clinic. Methods 135 patients with unstable angina were included in the disease group and subjected to risk stratification according to GRACE risk score software,70 cases of low-risk group,60 cases in the middle-risk group and 5 cases in the high-risk group.Another 145 healthy people were in the control group. The levels of ischemia modified albumin,heart-type fatty acid-binding protein,B-type natriuretic peptide and homocysteine were detected and compared. Results Between the control group and the disease group, significant difference of heart-type fatty acid-binding protein,B-type natriuretic peptide and homocys-teine was found (P <0.05),but the difference of ischemia modified albumin was not statistically significant(P >0.05).In the dis-ease group, the levels of ischemia modified albumin,heart-type fatty acid-binding protein and homocysteine in each risk stratification showed no significant difference(P >0.05).The level of B-type natriuretic peptide in high-risk group was higher than that in the low-risk group and in the middle-risk group and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05),while there was no statisti-cally significant difference between the low-risk group and the middle-risk group(P >0.05 ).Conclusion The detection of heart-type fatty acid-binding protein,B-type natriuretic peptide and homocysteine possesses certain meaning in diagnosing unstable angi-na,and the level of B-type natriuretic peptide indicates the risk degree of the disease.

Objective To investigate the effects of curcumin on H2O2-induced the production of nitric oxide(NO) and reactive oxygen species(ROS) in mouse embryo-fibroblast.Methods Macrophage were collected in abdominal cavity of 6-8 weeks Kunming mouse, cultured macrophage(2?108 L-1) were divided into control group and curcumin groups randomly.Macrophage in H2O2 group were added into a single bolus of H2O2(1 mmol?L-1) for 30 min, macrophage in curcumin group were preincubated with different concentration of curcumin for 2 h followed by a 30 min incubation with 1 mmol?L-1 H2O2 and macrophage in control group were added into the same volume(0.1 mL) of 9 g?L-1 so-dium chloride.Immunocytochemistry was used to measure the contents of inducible nitric-oxide synthase(iNOS),NO production was determined by Griess reactive,ROS was determined by DCFH-DA Fluorescence proe. Results The production of NO in control group was little. The production of NO in H2O2 group markly highter than that in control group(P

The effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for the treatment of supraventricular tachycardia were systematically reviewed. The randomized controlled trials (RCTs) regarding acupuncture for supraventricular tachycardia were searched in domestic and overseas databases, and the evaluation tool of bias risk in Cochrane Handbook 5.1.0 software was used to perform the evaluation of bias risk in literature, and RevMan 5.2 software was applied for statistics and Meta-analysis. Five RCTs involving 323 patients were included. The results showed that compared with the blank control group, the acupuncture reduced the heart rate by 18.8 times/min [95% CI (12.68, 24.92)]; the clinical effective rate in the acupuncture group was superior to that in the diltiazem group [OR= 3.11, 95% CI (1.50, 6.46)]; the difference of immediate effect between propafenone and acupuncture was not significant. No reports regarding adverse events was described in 5 RCTs. As was shown in the present evidence, acupuncture is safe and effective for the treatment of supraventricular tachycardia, but the level of evidence was low and the intensity of conclusion needed to be improved.
