According to the theory of in vitro radioassay, using TSHAb as binder and 125I-staphylococcal protein A (125I-SPA) as tracer agent, a new method for detecting the abnormal immunoglobulin (aIgG) in the sera of patients with Graves disease (GD) was reported. In the initial study of the method, the most appropriate interacting conditions of TSHAb with aIgG were explored and compared with ELISA using ganglioside (GLS) as a binder. The relationship between aIgG and thyroid-stimulating imunoglobulin(TSI) was probed into. The results showed that TSHAb could interact specifically with aIgG in vitro; but it could not interact with IgG from sera of normal subjects, systemic lupus erythematosis (SLE) patients and diabetic patients. With aIgG as an evaluating index, the mean value in 29 normal subjects was 1. 06?0. 17. When the sera of 72 patients with GD in different clinical stages were studied, the aIgG index was positive in 83% of untreated GD patients (n = 24), in 12% of GD patients in clinical remission (n = 25) and in 82% of relapsed GD patients (n = 23). Very significant difference was observed between normal subjets and untreated and relapsed patients with GD (P

Objective To observe the effect of early multidisciplinary rehabilitation therapy on stroke patients. Methods 80 cases of acute stroke were randomly divided into the rehabilitation group (n=40) and control group (n=40). All patients of two groups were treated with routine treatment, and those of the rehabilitation group were added with early multidisciplinary rehabilitation therapy. The degrees of clinical neural function defect, motor function and activities of daily living (ADL) of all patients in two groups were assessed by the clinical neural function defect assessment (NIHSS), Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) and Barthel Index (BI) before and one month after treatment. Results The scores of NIHSS, FMA and BI of patients in two groups were not different before treatment ( P>0.05). After treatment, the scores of patients of the rehabilitation group were significantly higher than that of the control group ( P<0.01).Conclusion Early multidisciplinary rehabilitation therapy can improve the neural function, ADL and raise the quality of life of post stoke patients.

OBJECTIVETo study the selective dilatation effects of iptakalim (Ipt) on basilar and pulmonary arterioles, and endothelial cell function of these arterioles in hypoxic rats.
METHODSSD male rats were divided into 2 groups:control and hypoxic group fed in normobaric hypoxic environment (O2 7.8%, 8 h). Arteriole rings about (204 + 5) pm were isolated and the tension of hypoxic arterioles pre-contracted by 6 nmol/L endothelin-1 (ET-1) was observed with wire myograph system model (DMT 610 m). The relaxing response of hypoxic arterioles induced by different concentration of Ipt were detected and endothelial activity was also tested by acetylcholine.
RESULTS10(5) mol/L acetylcholine (ACh)-mediated vasodilatation of basilar and pulmonary arterioles was greatly reduced in the hypoxic group than those in control group (P < 0.05). Compared with normal group, a novel ATP-sensitive potassium channel opener Ipt at the concentration ranging from 10(-11) mol/L to 10(3) mol/L, caused stronger dose dependent vasodilatation on hypoxic pulmonary arterioles, and there was no significant difference between control and hypoxic basilar arterioles.
CONCLUSIONThe endothelial function of basilar and pulmonary arterioles was damaged under hypoxic state, and Ipt selectively increased dilatation effects on hypoxic pulmonary arterioles, but not on hypoxic basilar arterioles which could improve high altitude pulmonary edema pathological state and be the novel drug in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the regulation of Cha Gan Beng Ga on the activity of biomarker PGC-1α in vivo and in vitro, and lay the foundation for studying the efficacy result of Cha Gan Beng Ga on xenograft tumor model and extracting active constituents.
METHOD(1) The coarse powder of Cha Gan Beng Ga was extracted with 70% ethanol solution through heating and refluxing, and finally was used to freeze dry powder. (2) 50 mg x kg(-1) of freeze-dried power was orally administrated to KM and C57BL/6J mice once daily, lasting for 5 consecutive days; different concentrations of extracted materials was given to non-small cell lung cells A549. (3) The expression level of PGC-1α mRNA was quantitatively determined in lung tissue of mice and non-small cell lung cells A549.
RESULTThe expression levels of PGC-1α in lung tissue of different mice strains had an increasing tendency. Furthermore, the expression levels of PGC-1α in non-small cell lung cells A549 also had an increasing tendency, showing dose and time-dependent relationships.
CONCLUSIONMongolian Medicine Cha Gan Beng Ga could induce the over-expression of PGC-1α mRNA in lung tissue of mice and in non-small cell lung cells A549. The present results will lay foundation for studying the efficacy result of antitumor and active constitutes in future.
