[Objective]To compare two preparing procedures for larger chemically acellular nerve allografts (CANA). [Methods]The sciatic nerves of pigs were exposed by a muscle-splitting incision and were isolated free of the underlying fascia. The 60-mm-long segments of the nerve were obtained. They were treated according to the following decellularization processes. In group I,the nerve segments were treated with 7% Triton-100 solution and 7% sodium deoxycholate for two times. In group II,another protocol was created with the detergents Triton X-200,sulfobetaine-16,and sulfobetaine-10 for two times. The degrees of decellularization, activity of laminin, degrees of demyelination, and integrity of the nerve fiber tube were observed under microscope and were assessed by a scoring system.[Results]In both experimental groups the activity of laminin was present and the degrees of decellularization were complete. As for the demyelization of the nerve segments, the myelin sheath in Group II was partially preserved, but it completely disappeared in Group Ⅰ. The structure of the nerve fiber tube in Groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ were not as integral as that in the normal group.[Conclusion]It may be a better method for the larger CANA,to be treated with TritonX-100 and sodium deoxycholate during the decellularization procedure.

OBJECTIVE: A series of studies has been reported concerning deep venous thrombosis following artificial hip replacement. This paper is aimed to summarize the occurrence factor and preventive measures for deep venous thrombosis following artificial hip replacement.METHODS: A computer-based online search of VIP database was undertaken by the first author to identify the articles about the deep venous thrombosis following artificial hip replacement published in between January 1994 and October 2009 with the key words of"artificial hip replacement and deep venous thrombosis". Inclusive criteria: ①Occurrence factor of deep venous thrombosis following artificial hip replacement. ②Diagnostic criteria and diagnostic methods of deep venous thrombosis following artificial hip replacement. ③Preventive strategy for deep venous thrombosis following artificial hip replacement. Inclusive criteria: repetitive research or obsolete documents. Totally 25 literatures were included in this paper.RESULTS: The agreement has been basically achieved for pathogenesis and risk factor of deep venous thrombosis following artificial hip replacement. The pathogenesis included blood hypercoagulable state, slow blood flow (or stasis), and vessel wall damage. Meanwhile, elderly, cerebrovascular disease, varicose vein or intravenous surgery, were the risk factors of deep venous thrombosis. Mechanical therapy or medication could be selected for preventing patients against deep venous thrombosis following artificial hip replacement with different features. It was an acceptable method for most patients using mechanical therapy, which could not induce drug adverse reaction, but the clinical efficacy remained uncertain for high-risk patient population, thus, medication should be combined. Low molecular heparin was considered first-choice drugs for preventing deep venous thrombosis following artificial hip replacement, which was characterized by common uses and reliable effects. CONCLUSION: Studies on influencing factor and preventive treatment of deep venous thrombosis following artificial hip replacement has arisen more attention in medical circles. The understanding of pathogenesis, correlation factors and preventive measures plays an important role in decreasing incidence deep venous thrombosis.
5.A further discussion on acupuncture treatment plan of facial neuritis in Evidence-based Guidelines of Clinical Practice in Acupuncture and Moxibustion.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(6):602-604
The treatment plan of facial neuritis in Evidence-based Guidelines of Clinical Practice in Acupuncture and Moxibustion (2011 edition) is discussed, and case information of facial neuritis during the recent five years in department of acupuncture and moxibustion, PLA General Hospital, is retrospectively analyzed. In accordance with anatomy of the facial nerve to form the acupuncture prescription, the detailed diagnosis and treatment method for facial neuritis are introduced. The advantages of the diagnosis and treatment method for facial neuritis are summarized, hoping to establish a more comprehensive, standardized and unified treatment plan.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2016;49(5):367-371
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and substantially harms human health and socioeconomic development.Due to inappropriate treatment and the presence of drug resistance genes in patients, antibiotic resistance has emerged in Neisseria gonorrhoeae, such as resistance to penicillin, tetracycline, ciprofloxacin,or other antibiotics.Currently,extended-spectrum cephalosporins (ESCs) are the first-line treatment of gonococcal infection. With the wide use of ESCs,the sensitivity of Neisseria gonorrhoeae to ESCs has been decreasing gradually, and there have been reports on cases of treatment failure in clinical practice. In order to control gonorrhea and deal with drug resistance in Neisseria gonorrhoeae, combined therapy, alternative therapy and new drugs have been developed in clinic.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(13):1223-1225
Approximately 3% of all head and neck neoplasms originate in the parotid gland and less than 1% are oncocytic. We present the rare case of a 63-year-old woman with oncocytic carcinoma of the parotid gland with facial nerve invasion and discuss the characteristics of this rare entity. Based on the results of medical history, physical examination, computed tomography and postoperative histopathological diagnosis, oncocytic carcinoma of the parotid gland was diagnosed. Treatment involved complete parotid gland removal and right neck dissection. Adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy were followed by operation. As of 9 months following surgery, no recurrence has been identified, but long-term results are undefined.

Objective To explore the correlation factors of hyperuricemia in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Methods Two hundred and fifty-six inpatients with T2DM were divided into elderly(n=168)and non-elderly(n=88)groups. Another 37 elderly non-DM cases were as control. The parameters of serum uric acid and creatinine, urinary uric acid, pH and creatinine, clearance rates of uric acid and creatinine(Ccr)were determined and compared among 3 groups. Results The elderly T2DM group had higher level of serum uric acid than did non-elderly T2DM and control groups(all P
