Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2013;38(10):1070-1074
Objective: To explore the relationship between prenatal anxiety and cesarean section (c-section) with non-medical indication.
Methods: Nested case-control study was used to analyze the risk factors for c-section with no medical needs: 433 pregnant women with gestational age longer than 24 weeks were enroled in this study. According to the mode of delivery, we divided them into a vaginal delivery group, a c-section group without medical need and a c-section group with medical need.
Results: The c-section rate was 62.1%, 55.8% of which was c-section without medical need at family request. The score of state anxiety (S-AI) and trait anxiety (T-AI) was 42.53±11.04 and
44.40±10.23 respectively, much higher than that of normal population. After the adjustment of maternal social economic status and other prenatal statuses for this pregnancy, the prenatal anxiety was still associated with c-section with non-medical indication. The adjusted odd ratio for prenatal anxiety state, prenatal trait anxiety state and c-section with non-medical indication was 1.41 (95%CI: 1.06-1.87) and 1.23 (95% CI: 1.08-1.40), respectively.
Conclusion: Prenatal anxiety state is a risk factor for c-section with non-medical indication.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2009;37(12):1834-1838
In the framework of ensemble, a partial least squares(PLS) regression ensemble algorithm in subspace(MIESPLS), which is the combination of bootstrap and variable selection based on mutual information(MI), was proposed. The key of the proposed algorithm is to introduce the diversity of member models by bootstrap re-sampling on the training set and the subsequent MI calculation. Each time, those variables whose MI are lower than a defined threshold are first eliminated;then, a member model can be trained on a smaller subspace of original spectral variables. Two kinds of model fusion strategies, i.e., simple average fusion(SAF) and weighted average fusion(WAF), were adopted and compared. By two experiments concerning quantitative application of near-infrared(NIR) spectroscopy, MISEPLS is confirmed to be superior to the full-spectrum PLS and MIPLS method, i.e., PLS combined with MI-induced variable selection. The proposed MISEPLS can produce a more accurate and robust calibration model, but without increasing the complexity.

BACKGROUND: Conservative treatment receives poor results in treating humeral intercondylar fractures, due to the over-long time fixation, and the recovery of joint function would be restricted.Early functional exercises should be based on stable internal fixation.OBJECTIVE: To explore the effectiveness of bone plate internal fixation in treating humeral intercondylar fractures under AO principle.METHODS: Totally 37 cases with humeral intercondylar fractures at the Department of Orthopaedics,Laibin People's Hospital from June 2000 to November 2005 were collected, under AO/ASIF classification, cases were assigned into three groups: type C1consisted of 11 cases,C2 consisted of 21 cases and C3 comprised 5 cases. All the cases were treated by olecranon osteotomy medial approach open reduction and then treated with dual anatomical plate internal fixation.Flexion and extension activities were done at 1 day after operation.Physical therapy was performed at 1 day after removing drainage.According to the images and clinical follow-up,slightly resistance exercise could be done at 4 weeks after operation, and gradually increased the load after8-12 weeks.RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: A total of 36 patients were included in the follow-up with 13-26 months, mean 19.5 months. All the bone fractures were recovered.Earlier operative reduction and exercise function would got better elbow joint recovery. All results demonstrated that dual anatomical plate treatment under AO principle provides firm internal fixation for patients with humeral intercondylar fractures, which is good for early exercise and functional recovery.

Journal of International Oncology 2008;35(12):932-934
Hypoxia-inducible factor 1 ( HIF-1 ) can receive and conduct signals under hypoxia,so it participates in the transcriptions of some genes induced by hypoxia.Hypoxia can cause an increasing expression of HIF-1 α in endomettial carcinoma, which might work on angiogenesis,glycometabolism,invasion,prolifera-tion,apoptosis,differentiation and prognosis of tumor.HIF-1α attracts more and more attention in recent years, detection of HIF-1α in endometrial carcinoma may be useful for its therapy.
