China Pharmacist 2015;(2):324-325,326
Objective:To establish a method for the determination of chloride and sulfate in lithium carbonate crude drug by sup-pressed ion chromatography. Methods:The analysis column and the guard column was Thermo IonPac AS11(250 mm × 4 mm) and IonPac AG 11(50 mm ×4 mm), respectively. Potassium hydroxide solution(10 mmol·L-1) generated by an eluent generator(EG) was used as the eluent at a flow rate of 1. 0 ml·min-1 . And the temperature of column and conductivity cell was 30℃ and 35℃, re-spectively. The suppressor electric current was 36 mA, and the injection volume was 10 μl. Results:The linear range of chloride ion and sulfate ion was 1. 0-20μg·ml-1 with r of 0. 995 1 and 0. 997 3,respectively, and the recovery was 106. 6%(RSD=2. 6%,n=6) and 100. 3%(RSD=1. 9%,n=6), respectively. Conclusion:The method is accurate and reliable, and can be used in the determina-tion of chloride and sulfate in lithium carbonate crude drug.
3. Leachables in metered-dose inhaler packages: Research advances
Journal of International Pharmaceutical Research 2016;43(3):461-465
The container closure system is indispensable to metered-dose inhaler (MDI). In the shelf life of MDI, various ingredients of the container closure system may become potential leachables and migrate into the preparation. Due to their unknown constructs and latent ambiguous toxicities, leachables may significantly affect drugs’ effectiveness and safety. Consequently, it is necessary to carry on leachable studies to ensure the good compatibility of MDI closure system. This paper mainly focuses on the fundamental components of MDI container closure system, analyzes leachable sources and safety information and reviews the related contents about leachable studies in domestic and foreign pharmacopoeia.

Objective:To establish a detection method for bacterial endotoxins in nedaplatin for injection. Methods:The experi-ment was carried out and the result was evaluated according to the appendix XIE of Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010 Vol. II. Results:There was no interference from nedaplatin for injection to bacterial endotoxin in TAL reaction. Conclusion:The method is feasible to detect bacterial endotoxin in nedaplatin for injection, which can replace the rabbit pyrogen test.

Objective To explore the clinical value of helical CT surface shaded display (SSD) and multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) images in diagnosing the acetabular fractures. Methods According to the anatomical basis of "Y" type cartilage in children acetabulum, adult acetabulum was divided into "two columns" the anterior and posterior column and "four walls"the anterior, posterior, medial and roof walls, so as to define the localization, type, interface and union of fractures accurately. Results From 1999 to 2001, 68 cases of acetabluar fractures were reviewed. Of 68 cases, 28 cases were diagnosed as complex double columns and three walls (anterior, posterior and interior wall respectively) fracture, 7 cases as complex single column (anterior column) and three walls (anterior, posterior and interior wall) fracture, 5 as complex single column (anterior column) and two walls (anterior and interior wall) fracture, 21 as simple posterior wall fracture, 7 as simple anterior wall. In this group, 21 complex double columns and three walls fractures, 7 complex single column and three walls fractures, 5 complex single column and two walls fractures, 15 simple posterior wall fractures, 3 simple anterior wall fractures had reduction and internal fixed with plates or absorbable screws; another 7 complex double columns and three walls fractures, 6 simple posterior wall fractures, 4 simple anterior wall fractures were treated with traction reduction because the separation and displacement of their fragments were not significant. Using ?2 statistical analysis, there was a significant difference between the X-ray film and SSD and MPR in demonstrating the numbers and types. Conclusion SSD and MPR reconstruction imagines are of instructive importance in sufficient evaluation, operative preparation and appropriate instrumentation of internal fixation. In the management of acbtabular fracture, plates are needed to stabilize the fracture involved the anterior or posterior column, while the fragments of anterior or posterior wall are only fixed with screws, small fragments could be removed in order to avoid forming loose body. Therefore, SSD and MPR are the regular and important method in preoperative examination of complex acetabular fracture and dislocation.

Objective To establish a method of isolating, culturing, proliferating urinary tract(nephropelvics, ureter and bladder)smooth muscle cells (SMC). Methods Urinary tract SMC were isolated from sample tissues (1 from human nephropelvics,1 from human ureter,3 from human bladders,5 from porcine bladders and 1 from porcine ureter) by collagenase digestion and were cultured in DMEM supplemented with fetal bovine serum.Morphology and expansion of the cells were observed.SMC specific protein (?-actin) was identified by immunohistochemical methods. Results The cells grew well and presented a typical morphological feature of SMC.They could be passaged 6 times without a remarkable decrease in rate of cell proliferation.Immunohistochemical staining showed that ?-actin was positive. Conclusions This urinary tract SMC cultural method was simple, reliable and fruitful.

Aim To study the effect of echinacoside on behavior and proteins expression from substantia nigra and striatal tissue in MPTP mouse model of Parkinsons disease(PD)and discover the mechanism of its potential dopaminergic neuroprotective effect in the protein level. Methods The mouse model of PD was induced by 1-Methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP)and the behavioral analysis of C57BL/6 mice was performed by using spontaneous movement and rotarod test.A proteomic approach based on 2-dimensional electrophoresis(2-DE),mass spectrometry(MS)and figure analysis was used to evaluate the effect of echinacoside on the behavior and the protein expression in substantia nigra and striatal tissue in C57BL/6 mice after MPTP administration. Results ① Compared with control,MPTP lesion significantly reduced the number of spontaneous movement and latent period of mice on the rotating rod(both P

Objective To investigate the prognosis of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) Ⅱ and Ⅲ after being treated by microwave coagulation, loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) and cold knife conization. Methods From March 2000 to February 2006, 289 patients with CIN Ⅱ or Ⅲ diagnosed by colposcopic biopsy were treated and followed up according to consensus guidelines for the management of women with CIN. Results Totally 233 of the 289 patients (80.6%) completed the follow-up (3-56 months with a mean of 11.8). Among them, 77.7% (181/233) received treatment; the other 22.3% (52/233) did not. In the 181 patients who received treatment, the lesion disappeared in 160 (88.4%) cases, during the follow-up; while in those who did not received treatment, the CIN was cured spontaneously in 63.5% (33/52; ?2=17.664, P=0.000). The prognosis of CIN Ⅱ was similar among the patients who were treated with microwave coagulation, LEEP, or cold knife conization (?2=0.008,P=0.996). In addition, in the patients with CIN Ⅲ, the prognosis after cold knife conization was not significantly different from that after LEEP (?2=0.017,P=0.897). Conclusions The management of CIN Ⅱ and Ⅲ may increase the cure rate. However, the three therapeutic methods produce similar prognosis.

Bronchoscopy is an indispensable method to diagnose and treat children with respiratory dis-ease treatment,it′s the foundation of pediatric interventional pulmonary procedures. Because of the widely use and the steady accumulation of clinical experience, the value has been consistently affirmative. This review de-scribes the interventional therapy of airway dysplasia via bronchoscopy.
