4.Effect of Gentle Moxibustion on Hemorheology in Cervical Spondylotic Vertebral Arteriopathy
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2016;35(8):983-985
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of gentle moxibustion on hemorheology in cervical spondylotic vertebral arteriopathy of qi-blood deficiency type.MethodSixty patients diagnosed with cervical spondylotic vertebral arteriopathy of qi-blood deficiency typewere randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 30 cases each. The control group received conventional acupuncture at cervical Huatuo jiaji(Ex-B2)points and the treatment group, gentle moxibustion in addition. TCD was performed before and after treatment to observe hemorheological changes in the two groups. The clinical therapeutic effects were evaluated.ResultThe total efficacy rate was 96.7% in the treatment group and 90.0% in the control group. There was a statistically significant difference in therapeutic effect between the two groups (P<0.05). There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in TCD indicators in the two groups (P<0.05). Vertebrobasilar blood flow was improved more in the treatment group (P<0.05).ConclusionGentle moxibustion can improve vertebrobasilar blood flow to a greater extent in cervical spondylotic vertebral arteriopathy. It is clinically an effective way to treat cervical spondylotic vertebral arteriopathy.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(08):-
Objective To express the recombinant antigen coded by Pagumogonimus skrjabini adult cysteine protease gene fragment and to investigate the immunoreactivity of the fusion protein for further usage on serodiagnosis of the fluke disease. Methods The target gene fragment was amplified by PCR. After purification with gel purification recoverykit, the target gene fragment was ligated with PinPointTM Xa 1 T vector and transduced into E.coli JM109 strain. The expressed fusion protein sample was prepared with alkaline lysis solution, and then analyzed by SDS PAGE. The expression level was determined by Coomassie blue staining and the streptavidin alkaline phosphatase staining. The immunoreactivity of fusion protein was examined by Western blotting. Results A total of 8 positive clones were harvested, and only one had the proper orientation verified by sequencing. The recombinant antigen was obtained after being induced with IPTG (Isopropltio ? D galactoside), and a positive band of 32?10 3 was found by streptavidin alkaline phosphatase staining. In the same position, the fusion protein was also detected by Western blotting. Conclusion The expression vector of adult cysteine protease gene PinPointTM Xa 1 T vector was successfully constructed. The recombinant antigen obtained after being induced with IPTG possesses good immunoreactivity.

Objective To estimate the efficacy and safety of cryopreserved platelets in surgical patients. Methods 238 patients in recent years with hemorrhage or high risk of hemorrhage induced by thrombocytopenia or functional platelet defects during or after surgery, who had been transfused with cryopreserved platelets, were included in our study. The following items were recorded: bleeding time before and two hours after transfusion of cryopreserved platelets; the persist time of blood oozing from wound after transfusion; platelet count before and one hour after transfusion; platelet count before and immediately after surgery; and the number of patients with adverse transfusion reactions. The hemostatic efficacy was judged by the bleeding time and platelet count change. Results Bleeding times before and two hours after cryopreserved platelets transfusion were (9?3)min,(4?2)min respectively; blood oozing from wound stopped 0.5~2 hours after transfusion; the platelet level was elevated by(5~42)?10 9/L one hour after transfusion; the postoperative platelet count was decreased by(130?69)?10 9/L compared to preoperative count; four patients had urticaria and five had febrile reaction. The hemostatic efficacy was 95%(226/238) Conclusion Cryopreserved platelets function immediately to bring about the cessation of blood oozing from the wound, and elevation of peripheral blood platelet count.
