BACKGROUND:Bone nonunion may occur after limb trauma fracture. Internal fixation of implant is a common mode of repair, but fixation of different implants has different effects. OBJECTIVE:To explore the application value of different implant fixation in limb trauma of nonunion after femoral shaft fracture. METHODS:A retrospective analysis was performed on 72 cases of nonunion after femoral shaft fractures in Bozhou People’s Hospital from November 2012 to November 2013. They were divided into the observation group (36 cases) and control group (36 cases) according to the way of treatment, which were given interlocking intramedul ary nail and dynamic compression plate fixation. Length of incision, intraoperative blood transfusion volume, postoperative drainage volume, operation time, fracture healing time and functional recovery of knee joint were observed and compared between the two groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:There was no statistical significance in operation time and length of the incision between the two groups (both P>0.05). Intraoperative amount of blood transfusion and postoperative drainage were significantly higher in the control group than in the observation group;the fracture healing time was significantly longer in the control group than in the observation group;infection rate in final fol ow-up was significantly higher in the control group than in the observation group (al P<0.05). No significant differences in preoperative knee joint International Knee Documentation Committee knee evaluation form and Lysholm score were found between the two groups (al P>0.05), but above two scores were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group in final fol ow-up (al P<0.05). These findings suggest that compared with the dynamic compression plate, interlocking intramedul ary nail in treatment of bone nonunion after femoral shaft fracture can obtain good effect, firm fixation, low infection rate, and is more in line with the physiological and biomechanical requirements.

A canthopanax Senticosus , a vulnerable species, was one of the major government-protected plants. This paper deals with the major reason for wildlife resources from biological standpoints, which are sexual propagation with less capability , vegetative propagation being damaged due to leaves , roots and rhizomes being gathered un-reasonable. Raising wildlife resources, semi-wild extensive management, and reasonable gatheration will be an important means for protection of wildlife resources in light of local conditions.

BACKGROUND:In recent years, the technical parameters about hurdle athletes are mainly obtained through video analysis and DLT algorithm. However, the gait and surface electromyography (sEMG) characteristics during normal walking are little reported. OBJECTIVE: To explore the changes of the gait and lower limb sEMG signals relative to gait period in hurdle athletes. METHODS:Eight male professional hurdlers were selected to perform gait and lower limb sEMG tests on the trail, and the differences in gait and sEMG signals were analyzed by mathematical statistics. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The gait parameters of hurdlers showed no significant differences (except step length). In the total gait cycle, along with the gait changing, the right and left side muscles of the same name moved alternately. The median frequency and average power frequency of the tapping leg in the lower limb muscles were greater than those of the swinging leg (except biceps femoris, tibialis anterior and lateral gastrocnemius), but the mean EMG and EMG integral values of the tapping leg were smaller than those of the swinging leg. At the stand phase, the median frequency and average power frequency of the tapping leg in the lower limb muscles were greater than those of the swinging leg (except tibialis anterior), but the mean EMG and EMG integral values of the tapping leg were smaller than those of the swinging leg (except soleus). At the swing phase, the median frequency and average power frequency of the tapping leg in the lower limb muscles were greater than those of the swinging leg (except tibialis anterior and lateral gastrocnemius), but the mean EMG and EMG integral values of the tapping leg were smaller than those of the swinging leg (except soleus). To conclude, there are different degrees of differences in the frequency domain and time domain of the lower limb muscles between tapping and swinging legs. Additionally, the muscle strength of the tapping leg is less than that of the swinging leg.

Objective: To observe the effects of vitamin C(VC)on the electrophysiological property of myocardial cells of the rats fed with low selenium and high cadmium fodder. Method: Eight groups of rats were fed separately with: normal (2 groups), high Cd, high Cd+high VC, low Se+high Cd, low Se+high Cd+high VC, high Se+high Cd and high Se+high Cd+high VC fodder for 14 w. With intracellular microelectrode technique, the electrophysiological changes of rats were observed. Results:Compared with the control, there were no changes in high Cd+high VC group and in high Se+high Cd+high VC group. However,in high Cd group, RP and APA decreased, APD50 and APD90 prolonged; in low Se+high Cd group ,RP and APA decreased, APD50 and APD90 prolonged significantly; in low Se+high Cd+high VC group and high Se+high Cd group, though RP still decreased, no change had been detected on APA and APD. Conclusion: Se deficiency and simultaneous Cd overabundance may change the electrophysiological properties of myocardial cells of the rats significantly. However, VC may protect myocardial cells against the injury effectively.

Objective:To elucidate the etiology of the impairment of myocardial cells in Keshan disease. Methods:With intracellular microelectrode technique, we observed the electrophysiological changes of the eight groups of rats fed separately:normal, low Se, low Se+high VC, low Cr, low Cr+high VC, low Se+low Cr and low Se+low Cr+high VC fodders. Results:Compared with the control, there was no change in low Cr group. However, in low Se group, RP and APA decreased, APD 50 and APD 90 prolonged. In low Se+low Cr group, APA decreased, APD 50 and APD 90 prolonged significantly. In low Se with high vitamin C groups, though RP still decreased, no change had been detected on APA and APD. Conclusion:It is suggested that Se and Cr deficiency may jointly change the electrophysiological properties of myocardial cells significantly. However, vitamin C may protect myocardial cells against the injury effectively.

Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2021;37(5):999-1005.
For the ideal preclinical animal model of hepatitis B virus (HBV), its hepatocytes should allow HBV entry and cccDNA generation and have both innate and adaptive immune systems. However, HBV only naturally infects humans and chimpanzees due to highly restricted species specificity, and no effective model has been established so far to truly reflect the immune mechanism and pathogenesis of HBV infection. This article reviews five commonly used mouse models, i.e., HBV transgenic model, HBV plasmid DNA hydrodynamic injection model, AAV-HBV transfection model, cccDNA surrogate model, and human-mouse chimeric liver model, and looks forward to the new models that will appear in the future, such as hNTCP transgenic cynomolgus monkey, rhesus monkey, or pig models, so as to provide a reference for researchers to select these models, accelerate the process of drug screening, validate new therapies, and better solve the problems of HBV biological pathogenesis.

OBJECTIVE To screen t he active component s of Euchresta japonica against nasopharyngeal carcinoma. METHODS Main chemical components of E. japonica were selected ,and their target proteins were predicted in Swiss Target Prediction database. The target proteins of nasopharyngeal cancer were obtained with GeneCards database. Protein-protein interaction(PPI)network was established after the target of chemical components of E. japonica was intersected with the target of nasopharyngeal carcinoma ;PPI network was analyzed by using Cytoscape 3.6.1 software, and the potential active components and key targets of E. japonica against nasopharyngeal carcinoma were screened. The molecular docking technology was used to evaluate binding ability of active component-key target ;active components of E. japonica against nasopharyngeal carcinoma were screened. The anti-nasopharyngeal cancer effect of potential active components of E. japonica was verified by cell proliferation experiment. RESULTS Seven potential active components (tonkinensisol, quercetin, sophoranone, matrine, genistein, coumarin, maackiain) and 10 core targets (SRC,PIK3CA,MAPK1,MAPK3,AKT1,MAPK8,MAP2K1,PTK2,EGFR,JAK3)of E. japonica against nasopharyngeal carcinoma were screened. The molecular docking results showed that above potential active components all possessed certain anti-nasopharyngeal cancer effect. Cell proliferation activity test showed that tonkinensisol ,sophoranone and maackiain had a very significant inhibitory activity on nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells CNE- 1. CONCLUSIONS Tonkinensisol, sophoranone and maackiain might be the main active components of E. japonica against nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
