Objective:To analyze the risk factors and human papillomavirus (HPV) genotypes distribution in patients with condyloma acuminatum (CA) in two regions of Shandong province. Methods:From August 2019 to December 2020, an anonymous questionnaire survey of CA patients was conducted in three hospitals in Jinan City and Jining City, Shandong Province, and samples were collected for HPV typing. Multivariate binary logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors of CA recurrence. HPV typing was detected by PCR-reverse dot blot hybridization. Results:A total of 653 questionnaires were collected, and the valid questionnaires accounted for 98.77% (645/653). Recurrence of the disease occurred in 174 patients, with a recurrence rate of 26.98%. Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the distribution of CA recurrence among residence time at current address, sexual frequency, genitalia cleaning, and knowledge of preventing HPV infection ( P<0.05). Multivariate binary logistic regression showed that knowing how to prevent HPV infection was a significant factor that influences CA recurrence. A total of 428 patients underwent HPV typing, and the positive detection rate of HPV was 98.60% (422/428). The top three positive rates were HPV6 (57.58%), HPV11 (36.49%) and HPV16 (11.37%). The main type of infection was low-risk HPV, accounting for 51.42% (217/422). Conclusions:CA patients have the phenomenon of "separation of knowledge and action" , so it is necessary to strengthen health education and behavioral intervention, guide the population to correctly treat sexual behavior, and improve self-prevention awareness and risk awareness.

Objective To investigate the immunization coverage of oral live attenuated rotavirus vaccines and its influencing factors among children under 5 years old in Jinshan District of Shanghai in order to provide references for optimizing vaccination management in this area. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted in 6 community vaccination clinics randomly selected from 12 vaccination clinics in Jinshan District. In each selected clinic,145 children under 5 years old were continuously recruited. Information on immunization status, demographics of children, family socioeconomic status and parents′knowledge of vacci-nation were collected through questionnaire interview. Logistic regression was used to analyze factors influen-cing immunization status by using SPSS22.0. Results Among the 863 participating children, the immuni-zation coverage rate of oral live attenuated rotavirus vaccines was 61.07%. Multivariate analysis revealed that children having an urban registration status (OR=2.21),better family income (OR=1.47) and par-ents with high recognition of rotavirus diarrhea (OR=8.56) and stronger intention to following "doctor′s suggestions" (OR=1.96) were more likely to accept oral live attenuated rotavirus vaccines, while those from families with a medical professional were less likely to be vaccinated (OR=0.57). Conclusion The immunization coverage rate of oral live attenuated rotavirus vaccines among children in Jinshan District were influenced by various factors such as children′s household registration status, household income, parents′knowledge regarding vaccination and doctors′suggestions. Health education on immunization should be strengthened and tailor-made to improve the coverage of oral rotavirus vaccination.

Objective To explore the risk factors of postoperative activities of daily living in elderly patients after hip fracture. Methods By convenience sampling, from October 2013 to June 2015,150 elderly patients having undergone surgery after hip fracture were selected, with data of 141 cases finally collected. Gender, age, underlying diseases, surgical procedures, postoperative complications, ambulation time, whether walking with aids, family caregivers and reexamination conditions were recorded for evaluation of the patients about their activities of daily living half a year after the surgery. Mean comparison and chi-square test were used for univariate analysis about the above factors and Logistic regression analysis was used to identify possible risk factors. Results It was shown in univariate analysis that recovery of postoperative activities of daily living was influenced by age, surgical procedures, postoperative complications, ambulation time, walking aids, etc. (P< 0.05);it was shown in multivariate logistic regression that age (OR=1.065,95%CI:1.010-1.124, P=0.020),surgical procedures (OR=2.900,95%CI:1.200-7.008,P=0.018),postoperative complications (OR=6.366,95%CI:2.592-15.632,P< 0.001),ambulation time (OR=2.684,95%CI:1.133-6.359,P=0.025) and walking aids (OR=5.796,95%CI:1.542-21.780,P=0.009) were risk factors of postoperative daily living ability in elderly patients after hip fracture. Conclusions Old age, developing internal fixation surgery after incision, postoperative complications, walking more than 3 months after operation or walking without aids affect postoperative activities of daily living in elderly patients after hip fracture, thus affecting their quality of life, which makes it necessary for nursing staff to focus on risk factors for positive prevention and intervention.

[ABSTRACT]OBJECTIVEThis study was designed to compare the quality of life between patients who
underwent a tongue reconstruction with radial forearm flap (RFF) and infrahyoid myocutaneous flap (IHMCF) after hemiglossectomy for their tongue cancers, and to figure out an optimal reconstructive method for the defects resulted from hemiglossectomy.METHODSA non-randomized case-control study was performed on 24 patients with tongue squamous cell carcinoma who underwent a standard hemiglossectomy combined with perfectly tongue reconstruction from June 2005 to June 2012. All of the cases were without tongue base invasion. Of the 24 cases, 19 had T2 disease, 5 had T3 disease, and they were divided into RFF group (n=10) and IHMCF group (n=14). The quality of life were evaluated one year after operation using EORTC-QLQ30 and FACT-H&N35 and compared between the two groups.RESULTSThe scores were comparable between the two group with regard to all domains of EORTC-QLQ30,with all P values>0.05.The scores of swallowing(P=0.005), speech (P=0.008), teeth (P=0.014), and cough (P=0.009) domains were significantly higher in IHMCF group than in RFF group, with P value of 0.005, 0.008, 0.014 and 0.009 respectively, while the other domains of FACT-H&N35 were comparable between the two groups, with allP values>0.05.CONCLUSIONOverall quality of life was similar in the two groups. Oral function domains were better in IHMCF group than in RFF group. When guarantee of flap survival is available, IHMCF could be used as a good alternative flap to RFF in tongue reconstruction after hemiglossectomy.

Objective To observe imaging characteristics of carotid body tumor and schwannoma in carotid space. Methods CT, MRI and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) appearances of 16 patients with carotid body tumors and schwannomas in carotid space confirmed pathologically were retrospectively analyzed. There were 8 patients with carotid body tumors and 8 patients with schwannomas. Six patients with carotid body tumors and 5 patients with schwannomas underwent CT plain scan. All the patients underwent MR plain and contrast-enhanced scan. Four patients with carotid body tumors and 2 patients with schwannomas underwent DSA examination. Results CT: Six carotid body tumors were lobulated soft tissue masses. The density of the tumors was similar to neck muscles. Two carotid body tumors involving jugular foramen expanded jugular foramen, and the margin was irregular and erosion-destructive. Five schwannomas were ovoid or fusiform soft tissue masses. The density of the tumors was mixed. Two schwannomas involved jugular foramen expanded jugular foramen, and the margin was smooth. MRI: Eight carotid body tumors were lobulated, well-defined, longitudinal growth masses with characteristic high-velocity flow voids. The tumor splayed and surrounded internal carotid artery and external carotid artery. The diameters of the arteries were normal. The tumors intensely enhanced on contrast-enhanced MRI. Eight schwannomas were ovoid or fusiform, well-defined, longitudinal growth masses with heterogeneous signal, splaying carotid artery and jugular vein. The diameters of the vessels were narrow. The tumors nonuniformly enhanced on contrast-enhanced MRI. DSA: Four carotid body tumors showed intense tumor blush, while 2 schwannomas showed slight tumor blush. Conclusion According to the imaging characteristic of the tumors, carotid body tumor and schwannoma in carotid space can be accurately differentiated.
