Objective To discuss the injury spectrum and traumatic condition spectrum of trauma of abdominal organs in recent years. Methods Data of 247 cases with trauma on abdominal organ admitted in our hospital from 1999 to 2001 were analyzed in respects of injury spectrum, sex, age, vocation and injury causes of the cases with trauma of abdominal organs. Traumatic condition was evaluated by abridged injury score-injury severity score (AIS-ISS). Results There were 54 cases with trauma of abdominal organs in 1999, 72 in 2000 and 121 in 2001. Of all, 241 cases were cured but 6 died, with a fatality rate of 2.5%. The occurrence frequency of trauma of abdominal organs could be ranked in turn as follows: the spleen (43.2%), the kidney (18.8%), the liver (13.7%), the small intestine (6.5%),the bladder (4.8%), the pancreas (3.8%), the colon (3.8%), the stomach, the duodenum and the rectum. A total of 192 cases at age under 40 years accounted for 77.7% . Three injury causes ranked the first three places were traffic accident in 95 cases (38.5%), fall in 54 (21.9%), kick and boxing in 36 (14.6%), respectively. Of all, 168 cases had only intraabdominal injuries, of which 80 (47.6%) were with AIS=3, 32 (19.0%) with AIS=4 and 10 (6.0%) with AIS=5; and the other 79 cases (32.0%) were complicated by multiple trauma, with ISS ≥16 in 27 cases (34.2%) and ISS ≥25 in 8 (10.1%). Conclusions With the increase of vehicles and current personnel, the trauma of abdominal organs caused by traffic accident, accidental wound and conflict increases accordingly. People most apt to organ injuries are farmers, students and workers. Three organs ranked first three places are the spleen, the kidney and the liver. More than half cases are injured severely in accordance with AIS. To decrease trauma of abdominal organs, we must strengthen the education on traffic safety to raise their bewareness of injuries.

Objective To research the clinical curative effect of pegylated interferon α-2a (Peg-IFNα-2a) combined with ribavirin in treating chronic hepatitis C with positive autoantibodies.Methods The autoantibodies were screened in 93 cases of chronic hepatitis C patients and then the patients were divided into positive group and negative group.Both of the two groups were given therapy with Peg-IFN α-2a combined with ribavirin.The capacity of hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA,virological response rate,and blood concentration of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) were quantified before and in the process of treatment.Results Twenty-eight patients had autoantibodies,with 17 patients of antimitochondrial antibody,8 patients of anti smooth muscle antibody and 3 patients of anti-liver-kidney microsomal antibody-1.The quantity of HCV RNA and the virological response rate had no significant difference before and after treatment (P ＞ 0.05).The concentration of ALT and AST in positive group were higher than those in negative group before and in the process of treatment,while there were obvious differences only after 36 weeks of treatment (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Peg-IFN α-2a combined with ribavirin is effective for chronic hepatitis C for all the patients,but liver function of autoantibody negative patients have a better recovery.

Objective:To study the clinical efficacy of Carisolv in caries removal.Methods:20 primary teeth with middle and 20 with deep class V caries were randomly divided into two groups.Each group contained 10 teeth with middle caries and 10 with deep caries.Carisolv was used in test group and conventional rotary instrument in the control group. Efficacy of caries removal,treatment time, the degree of the pain and the current reaction of pulp between two groups were compared.Result:The Carisolv technique and the conventional method showed the same efficacy of caries removal.The treatment time in test group was longer than that in control group(P

Folic acid supplementation is one of the most important measures to prevent neural tube defects(NTDs)among child-bearing age women.This article reviews the NTDs prevention efficacy of the studies including field intervention trials,population folic acid supplementation and fortification in different countries,and analyzes the efficacy variation and their influencing factors of the related studies.The results of the article may provide references for folic acid supplementation,fortification and its efficacy evaluation in the population.

Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of MR in carotid-cavernous sinus fistulae(CCF). Methods Conventional MRI and 3D TOF MRA were performed in 23 cases of CCF confirmed by DSA. The MRI and MRA appearances of CCF were reviewed. Results The main MRI and MRA findings of CCF included enlargement of cavernous sinus, distortion and dilatation of the superior ophthalmic vein in the involved side in all cases.Dilatation of the inferior ophthalmic vein in 3 cases, superficial cerebral veins in 5 cases,dilatation of pterygoid venous plexus in 2 cases, superior petrosal sinus in 3 cases, and inferior pertrosal sinus in 2 cases. In the counterside, dilatation of cavernous sinus were found in 3 cases. Opening of posterior communicating artery in the circle of Willis happened in 17 cases. Conclusion MRI combined with MRA is able to make a reliable diagnosis of CCF, and is also able to demonstrate the condition of compensatory blood supply in brain, which is useful in the decision of the theraputic plan.

Objective To study the apoptosis of gallbladder carcinoma cell line GBC-SD induced by antisense oligodeoxynucleotide (ASODN) targeting survivin. Methods ASODN targeting survivin was transfected into GBC-SD cells mediated by lipofectin. Cultured cells were divided into 3 groups: control group,sense oligonucleotide (SODN) group and ASODN group. After transfected for 16 h, the cultured cells were harvested and the following texts were carried out. The expression of survivin mRNA was detected by RT-PCR. Flow cytometer were used to detect apoptosis. Morphological changes were observed by electron microscopy. Results The expression of survivin mRNA was decreased 47.83% in ASODN group while apoptosis was increased from (0.50?0.23)% to (26.28? 3.91)%. Abnormal morphological changes of cells were observed in ASODN group and apoptosis bodies were found in some gallbladder carcinoma cells. Conclusion The expression of survivin may be decreased in GBC-SD cells after ASODN transfection.ASODN targeting survivin could induce gallbladder carcinoma cells apoptosis effectively.

Objective To investigate the X-ray and MRI manifestations of osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) and to compare the sensitivity of detection among different sequences. Methods Thirty-six OCD cases (thirty-eight knees) with complete data were selected and analyzed. The sagittal and coronal images were acquired on T 1WI, T 2WI, PDWI, and FLASH T * 2WI. MRI manifestations were analyzed retrospectively with double blind contrast method. The radiographies were obtained on the same day. The sensitivity of detection among different sequences was also compared. Results (1) The medial femoral condyle was the most commonly affected location in the knee (63.2%). The proportion of classical type, expanded type, and inferocentral type was 55.3%, 15.8%, and 28.9%, respectively. (2) On radiographs, the lesions typically appeared as a well circumscribed area of sclerotic subchondral bone separated from the remainder of the epiphysis by a radiolucent line. (3) Subchondral bone lesion was displayed as small and crescent-shaped ( n =38) on the sagittal image and as wedge (14) or short bar (24) shape on coronal image. The signal of the lesion was hypointense or isointense on T 1WI,surrounded by a hypointense or hyperintense (FLASH T * 2WI, T 2WI) line. The subchondral plate disappeared or became thinner. Interruption or disappearance of the hyaline cartilage could be seen sometimes. (4) The detection rate on T 1WI was higher than that of PDWI, T 2WI, and FLASH T * 2WI. Conclusion (1) Osteochondritis dissecans has specific X-ray and MRI manifestations. The abnormality of the hyaline cartilage and the subchondral bone can be displayed by MRI. Thus a proper diagnosis can be made. (2) The detection rate on T 1WI is higher than that of PDWI, T 2WI, and FLASH T  2WI.

ObjectiveTo study the effects of different priming dose of muscle relaxant at the onset and endotracheal intubation conditions.Methods120 ASA Ⅰ～Ⅱ grade patients were randomly divided into 6 groups (n=6),vecuronium group (V 1,V2,V3) and cis-atrscurium group (C1,C2,C3).All patients were induced with propofol plasma (TCI)3 μg/ml,fentanil3 μg/kg.The V1 and C1 group were not given priming dose,and the V2,V3,C2,C3 groups were given priming dose of 10 μg/kg,20 μg/kg vecuronium and 15 μg/kg,30 μg/kg cis-atracurium.Intubating conditions were evaluated,and the onset time was monitored with train-of-four (TOF) technique.ResultsIntubating conditions were excellent in all patients.The onset time of priming groups of the four different doses was significantly shorter than that of the nonpriming group [(80.5±7.2) vs (146±10.7);(79.8±6.5) vs (146±10.7);(138.5±7.2) vs (218±10.7) ; (127.1±6.5) vs (218±10.7),P ＜ 0.05 ].ConclusionsThe taking-effect time of priming dose of muscle relaxant was significantly shorter than that of the nonpriming dose group.Increasing the priming dose not decrease onset time more than the smaller dose.

An online enrichment-separation system of C18 and inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP/MS) with flow injection （C18-FI-ICP/MS） was established for the determination of trace heavy metals in seawater. The optimized experimental parameters including pH，C18 column，concentration of methol in elute and the velocity of elute were investigated. This system was applied to the online preconcentration , separation and determination of trace heave metals in seawater samples successfully. The detection limit　(3σ) for Cd, Pb, Co, Ni and Zn was 0.03, 0.09, 0.1, 0.1, 0.3 μg/L respectively. The RSD of Cd, Pb, Co, Ni, and Zn for six measurements of seawater was 6.8%，3.4%，1.3%，2.6%，0.5%，respectively. The accuracy was verified with spiked recovery test. The recovery for five elements was 91.3%，95.1%，100.4%，100.3%，95.2%, respectively.
