Objective To study MRI manifestation of the non-diver bone infarction. Methods Six cases of non-diver bone infarction involved 18 bones totally, in which 15 bones were confirmed by surgical operation and pathology. All cases were examined by MRI through T 1WI, T 2WI, PDWI, FLASH T 2WI, and by X-ray plain film. Result (1) Major MRI manifestation was moderate signal intensity on T 1WI and inhomogenous high signal intensity on T 2WI in the centers of the foci whose margin were rugged and rough bands which were low signal intensity on T 1WI and two layers on T 2WI. Objective To study the correlation between the contrast enhancement features on spiral computed tomography (SCT) and different clinicopathological characteristics in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Methods Fifty cases (54 lesions) of HCC proved pathologically and examined with enhancement dual-phase SCT scanning (arterial phase and portal vein phase) were included in this study. The SCT features and the clinical details about resection and pathological differentiation were recorded. All the features of SCT were compared with some clinical and histopathological characteristics of HCC.Results The features of SCT were correlated with pathological characteristics of HCC. The pseudocapsula patterns were related with Edmondson's grade, and the enhancement patterns were associated with the diameter of tumor and intratumoral necrosis. There was a significant correlation between the high infiltration and severity (intrahepatic daughter foci, tumor-emboli in portal veins, lymphatic metastasis) on the SCT images and the diameter of tumor. The same correlation was found between the diameter of tumor on the SCT images and AFP value, and also between hepatic cirrhosis on the SCT images and HBsAg, the diameter of tumor.Conclusion This research confirms that SCT features are correlated with some clinicopathological characteristics of HCC.

Objective To investigate the X-ray and MRI manifestations of osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) and to compare the sensitivity of detection among different sequences. Methods Thirty-six OCD cases (thirty-eight knees) with complete data were selected and analyzed. The sagittal and coronal images were acquired on T 1WI, T 2WI, PDWI, and FLASH T * 2WI. MRI manifestations were analyzed retrospectively with double blind contrast method. The radiographies were obtained on the same day. The sensitivity of detection among different sequences was also compared. Results (1) The medial femoral condyle was the most commonly affected location in the knee (63.2%). The proportion of classical type, expanded type, and inferocentral type was 55.3%, 15.8%, and 28.9%, respectively. (2) On radiographs, the lesions typically appeared as a well circumscribed area of sclerotic subchondral bone separated from the remainder of the epiphysis by a radiolucent line. (3) Subchondral bone lesion was displayed as small and crescent-shaped ( n =38) on the sagittal image and as wedge (14) or short bar (24) shape on coronal image. The signal of the lesion was hypointense or isointense on T 1WI,surrounded by a hypointense or hyperintense (FLASH T * 2WI, T 2WI) line. The subchondral plate disappeared or became thinner. Interruption or disappearance of the hyaline cartilage could be seen sometimes. (4) The detection rate on T 1WI was higher than that of PDWI, T 2WI, and FLASH T * 2WI. Conclusion (1) Osteochondritis dissecans has specific X-ray and MRI manifestations. The abnormality of the hyaline cartilage and the subchondral bone can be displayed by MRI. Thus a proper diagnosis can be made. (2) The detection rate on T 1WI is higher than that of PDWI, T 2WI, and FLASH T  2WI.

Objective To study the clinical effect of orthopedic-orthodontic treatment in crossbite in deciduous dentition through cephalmetric analysis. Methods 12 children with crossbite in deciduous dentition were enrolled in treatment group. Control group included 8 patients with normal deciduous dentition. Modified reverse headgear was used in each patient in the treatment group. Orthodontic force was a-bout 2. 94-4. 90 N (300-500 g) , and the direction of force was under occlusion plane for 37 degree. Each patient wore reverse headgear for 10 hour per day. Orthodontic treatment lasted for 6 months, and then orthodontic treatment began at once. Orthodontic treatment was not over until crossbite was corrected. The cephalmetric change was compared between two groups before treatment (T1) , after orthopedic treatment (T2)and after orthodontic treatment (T3). The effect of orthopedic-orthodontic treatment was analyzed in two group. Results Crossbite was corrected successfully in all patients in the treatment group. After treatment, A point moved forward by 2. 8mm, Is-FHp increased 8. 38 mm, ＜SNA increased 2. 65, incisors in mandible moved backward a little bit. All these changes were statistical different as compared with those in the control group. Conclusion Skeletal and dental deformity are improved progressively after combined orthopedic-orthodontic treatment. It is recommended to perform orthopedic-orthodontic therapy in skeletal crossbite in deciduous dentition.

Objective To evaluate the value of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI)in the assessment of uterine fibroids by analyzing uterine fibroids and normal myometrium.Methods Forty-four patients with uterine fibroids confirmed by surgery were included in this study.DTI was performed using double gradient GE HDxt 3.0T and HD Cardiac coil.All data were transferred to GE AW4.5 Workstation software for data processing.Apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC),fractional aniso(FA),volume ratio aniso(VRA)and T2-weighted trace of uterine fibroids and normal myometrium were recorded.Diffusion tensor tractography (DTT)of uterine fibroids and normal myometrium were reconstructed and observed.The ADC,FA,VRA and T2-weighted trace of different regions of interest (ROI)were compared between uterine fibroids and normal myometrium.Results The ADC,FA,VRA and T2-weighted trace of uterine fibroids and normal myometrium were (1.65±0.32)×10 -9 mm2/s and (1.21±0.97)×10 -9 mm2/s,0.20±0.08 and 0.28±0.08,0.05 ± 0.05 and 0.09±0.07,344.22±66.1 9 and 318.97±98.48,respectively.The ADC of normal myometrium was higher than that of uterine fibroids (P =0.009).The FA and VRA of normal myometrium were lower than those of uterine fibroids (P =0.000,P =0.005). There was no statistically significant difference of T2-weighted trace between uterine fibroids and normal myometrium (P =0.1 74). There were obvious differences between uterine fibroids and normal myometrium in direction,arrangement and number of fibers. Conclusion DTI can be used to evaluate the structure difference between uterine fibroids and normal myometrium,which has the potential to improve assessment value of MRI for uterine fibroids.

1.The nutrient content of yeast (Condida Y-17) grown on n-alkane studied in this experiment was comparable to that of the same type of yeast produced in other countries. Its content of lead, arsenic, mercury and benzo (a) pyrene were within the limit proposed by the Protein-Calorie Advisory Group of the United Nations System. The Content of its residual n-alkanes and total aromatic hydrocarbons were within or a little over that limit. It is a good supplementary protein feed.2.The corrected PER values were, yeast grown on n-alkane 1.18; deli pid and denucleic acid yeast grown on n-alkane 1.16; brewer's yeast 1.52; full fat soybean meal 1.81. The PER of yeast grown on n-alkane was significantly lower than those of other samples. When 0.3% DL-methionine was added to the diet, the corrected PER values increased: n-alkane grown yeast 2.32; delipid and denucleic acid n-alkane grown yeast 2.49; brewer's yeast 2.35; full fat soybean meal 2.28. The corrected PER value of casein used for correction was 2.43, it was standardized with ANRC reference protein (PER = 2.50).3.Yeast grown on n-alkane with and without removal of lipids and nucleic acid was fed to groups of rats at a dietary level of 25% and 35% respectively for 1 year. A stock diet group and a brewer's yeast diet group were used as control. In the first 3 months the weight gain and feed consumption of the rats fed n-alkanc grown yeast diet were lower than those of the two control groups. The male rats were more sensitive to the change of diet. In the later 9 months the difference of weight gain among different groups were not significant. The concentration of haemoglobin, red cell counts, white cell counts, GPTase activity, serum cholesterol levels and serum urea levels determined at the beginning and the end of the experiment were all in the normal ranges. The concentrations of n-alkanes and odd-chain fatty acids in the adipose tissue of the n-alkane grown yeast group were higher than those of the two control groups, and the difference was highly significant. The concentrations of total aromatic hydrocarbons and benzo(a) pyrene in the muscle of different groups of rats were 0.4-0.6 ppm and 0.4 ppb respectively. No detrimental effect was observed in pathological examination.4.When 5% fish meal or 3.5% casein was added to the 25% n-alkane grown yeast diet, the weight gain and feed consumption of weanling rats were improved significantly, though it was still inferior to those fed with stock diet.5.Strongly growth depressive effect was noted as the level of n-alkane grown yeast was increased to 20% in the diet. This depressive effect was neither due to the toxicity of the residual n-alkanes and aromatic hydrocarbons, nor due to the deficiencies of potassium and selenium in the diet. It might be the result of nutrient or nutrients imbalance of the diet. The appropriate amount of yeast grown on n-alkane used in mixed feed should not be more than 15%.

This study was undertaken to observe the biochemical changes in striatum of Parkinson's disease (PD) rat model by modified proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy. 12 SD rats were divided into model (n=7) and control (n=5) groups. At 3 weeks after the injection of 6-hydroxydopamine into right striatum, 1H-MRS on the striatum was taken by modified proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and then tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) immunostatining was used to visualize the changes of the neurons in substantia nigra and neurites in striatum. The results showed that TH positive neurons and neurites in the substantia nigra compacts (SNc) and striatum in the normal side of the rat model of PD were decreased (P < 0.05), which proved the successful establishment of PD models. The NAA/Cr ratio of the injected side striatum of model group was lower than that of the normal side (P < 0.05). The ratios of Cho/Cr showed no significant difference between the two sides (P > 0.05). These results indicated that the modified 1.5T 1H-MRS should be a noninvasive technique which could provide useful information about the biochemical metabolites in striatum for the study of PD in rat model.

Objective: To analyze the hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) enterovirus 71 (EV-A71) infection epidemic characteristics of Guangdong Province from 2011 to 2015. Methods: We colleted data on common cases of hand-foot-mouth disease infected with EV-A71 reported from eight sentinel hospitals in Guangdong Province from January 2011 to December 2015, through the "Guangdong Province Acute Infectious Disease Surveillance Information Platform System" , including the age and incidence of cases. Time and etiological data, etc.We also collected data on the number of reported cases of HFMD disease and the number of laboratory-confirmed cases, through the "China Disease Prevention and Control Information System" , including data on common cases of HFMD disease, data on epidemics of severe cases and deaths, and the age, onset time, and pathogens of cases. Learning data, etc.The data from two sources were used to estimate the incidence of HFMD in EV-A71 and describe its distribution characteristics.Chi-square test was used to compare the positive rate of HF-A71 infection in hand-foot-mouth disease and the difference in estimated incidence among different age groups and months. Results: Eight sentinel hospitals from 2011 to 2015 reported a total of 1 855 common cases of EV-A71 infection, of which the highest was in 2014 (31.6%, 605/1 916) and the lowest was in 2015 (6.8%, 134/1 971) (χ²=521.85, P<0.001).According to the Disease Surveillance Reporting Information System, 1 772 516 cases of HFMD disease were reported from 2011 to 2015 in Guangdong Province, and 1 902 cases of severe and fatal cases of EV-A71 infection.The composition ratio of EV-A71 infected was 72.6% (1 775/2 444) and 97.0% (127/131) of severe HFMD disease in Guangdong province during 2011-2015.The average annual incidence of HF-A71 infection in all age groups showed a decreasing trend with age (χ^2trend=990 273.20, P<0.001), and it was the highest in the 1-year-old group, which was 1 697.67/100 000, and the lowest in the 4-year-old group, which was 705.46/100 000. The difference of monthly average incidence of EV-A71 infection in HF-A71 in each month was statistically significant (χ²=401.23, P<0.001), the highest in May at 15.51 per 100 000, and the lowest in July at 9.42 per 100 000. Conclusion EV-A71 infection rate of ordinary HFMD varies in different years. The most severe and death cases of HFMD were EV-A71 infected. 1 year old children were the high-risk group of infected with EV-A71 HFMD. April was the epidemic months of EV-A71 HFMD infection.
