BACKGROUND:Vacuum-sealing drainage in wound skin grafting can close wound, reduce the leakage, promote granulation hyperplasia and improve skin new speed.
OBJECTIVE:To compare the clinical effects of two kinds of wound surface dressings used in wound skin grafting.
METHODS: Eighty patients who needed skin grafting for trauma were retrospectively studied and chosen from September 2010 to March 2012. They were divided into two groups: biomaterial group (dressings mainly made of luffa fibers) and synthetics group (seaweed polyvinyl alcohol foam). The vacuum-sealing drainage device and wound dressing were removed after 1 week treatment. The skin grafting coverage and wound healing time were recorded.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Al patients of two groups got effective skin grafting coverage rate, and no patient appeared with infection and nonunion. The skin grafting coverage and wound healing time of the biomaterial group significantly differed from the synthetics group (P< 0.05). These findings indicate that compared to the synthetic material group, the biomaterial group can be better for effective drainage, good circulation, bacteria inhibition and fast repair.

Objective To detect the expression and correlation of serum Hepcidin,IL-6,sTfR,BMP6 diversity and explore the role of serum Hepcidin in prostate cancer with bone metastasis.Methods From January 2012 to March 2012,serum Hepcidin,IL-6,sTfR,BMP6 diversity were tested by ELISA in 25 prostate cancer patients with bone metastasis,30 prostate cancer patients without bone metastasis and 30 patients with BPH were used as the control group.The mean patient's age was 67 years (range from 55 to 75 years).In prostate cancers with bone metastasis group,the mean PSA base line was 138.0 μg/L (ranged from 20.0-1500 μg/L),the prostate cancers without bone metastasis group,mean PSA was 10.2 μg/L(ranged from 3.5-28.2 μg/L),and in BPH group,the mean PSA was 3.7 μg/L (ranged from 0.3-14.2 μg/L).Venous blood samples were taken in fasting mornings,then stored 3 ml in EDTA anticoagulant vacuum tube and centrifuged at4 ℃ for 10 min,the isolated serum were then preserved in-80 ℃ refrigerator.The competitive in-phase enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA) was used to detect serum Hepcidin,IL-6 and sTfR and BMP6 levels.Results Serum Hepcidin expressions in three groups were 67.7 ± 40.6 μg/L,37.5 ± 15.3 μg/L and 34.3 ± 10.7 μg/L,respectively.For prostate cancers with bone metastasis group,serum Hepcidin expression were higher than control group (P ＜ 0.05),and associated with IL-6(22.5 ±22.1 μg/L),sTfR (5.7 ± 2.6 μg/L),BMP6 (429.3 ± 188.4 μg/L),correlation coefficients were 0.972,-0.987,0.971 (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Increased serum Hepcidin level might be a sensitive index for diagnosis and prognosis of prostate cancers with bone metastasis.

Objective To discuss the change and significance of hepcidin expression in patients with hyperlipemia after allograft renal transplantation.Methods Allograft renal transplantation recipients were divided into hyperlipemia group (n =35),and non-hyperlipemia group (n =25).Normal control group was divided into non-hyperlipemia subgroup (n =30),and hyperlipemia group (n =25).ELISA was used to detect serum hepcidin and IL6.Relevant indexes of hematology,biochemistry,and iron metabolism were examined.Results As compared with other three groups,hyperlipemia group after allogenic kidney transplantation had increased serum hepcidin,IL-6,and serum ferritin expression (P＜0.05).Single factor analysis of each group revealed that serum hepcidin expression was correlated with serum ferritin and IL-6 (P ＜ 0.05).Correlation analysis on all specimens demonstrated that serum hepcidin was correlated with glomerular filtration rate,total cholesterol,triglycerides,serum ferritin and IL6 expression (P＜0.05).Conclusion Renal allograft transplantion recipients with hyperlipemia have higher serum hepcidin expression; There exists correlation between the expression of serum ferritin and expression of IL-6,which could reflect the hyperlipemia-induced atherosclerosis and its progress.

Objective To explore the thoracic CT manifestations and pathologic basis of pulmonary Wegener granulomatosis (WG),in order to improve the diagnostic accuracy.Methods Eighteen patients with pulmonary WG confirmed by pathology were collected.All the patients underwent CT scan and enhanced scan with 64-slice volume CT.CT features and clinical symptoms were retrospectively reviewed.Results The pathological manifestations of 18 cases with pulmonary WG were miscellaneous,including necrotizing granuloma infiltrated with inflammatory cells,intrapulmonary vasculitis,parenchymal necrosis,hemorrhage of pulmonary alveolus,microabscess and so on.Thoracic CT manifestations:multiple nodules were seen in 7 cases,multiple masses were detected in 4 cases,cavitations showed in 10 cases,peripheral wedge-shaped shadows showed in 2 cases,ground-glass attenuation and consolidation showed in 2 cases,bronchial wall thickening in 2 cases,solitary pulmonary nodule or mass in 3 cases,pleural effusion was seen in 5 cases.All the nodules,masses and cavitations demonstrated inhomogeneous and ring enhancement on contrast-enhanced images.Some patients presented with varied kinds of the above lesions,which could transform each other and became more or less.Conclusions Pulmonary WG has many pathological manifestations,resulting in the variety of the thoracic CT manifestations.The main manifestations are multiple nodules and multiple masses,necrotic cavitations.The feeding vessel sign to a nodule or mass and ring-shade cavity are relatively characteristics to diagnose pulmonary WG.The correct diagnosis could be established on the bases of understanding of the special developments and pathology of the lesions.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are evolutionary conserved non-coding RNA molecules.They involve in a variety of biological processes such as regulating the individual development,cell division,differentiation,apoptotic and fat metabolism through post-transcription pathway.It has been shown that miRNAs play important roles in the development and progression of many tumors,including of renal carcinoma,miRNAs play functions similar to oncogenes or anti-oncogenes in the development and progression of renal carcinoma by regulating the signaling pathway of its target genes involving in.

Intervertebral disc degeneration is one of the orthopedic common diseases , its complex physiopathological changes are regulated by many factors .The matrix metalloproteinases ( MMPs) and its regulatoryl factors play a very important role , and the factors that affect the role of MMPs in intervertebral disc degeneration interact with each other .So MMPs have gradually become one of the hot spot of intervertebral disc degeneration in recent years .In this paper , we first analyze the factors that cause the degeneration of intervertebral disc .Then we summarize the relationship between the expression of MMPs and the degeneration of intervertebral disc ac -cording to the different function of MMPs members in the family .Finally we state that MMPs can have an effect on the degeneration of intervertebral disc by the regulation of gene polymorphism and the related factors .

A case of varicella pneumonia, hepatitis and pancreatitis after kidney transplantation was retrospectively analyzed. One week after kidney transplantation, the patient had a papule with pruritus, which was diagnosed as varicella by dermatologist as well as high-throughput sequencing. The patient was found to have pneumonia, hepatitis and pancreatitis. The individualized treatment regimen was used, including the dosage reduction of immunosuppressive agents, the blood drug concentration monitoring, antiviral therapy, anti-infection therapy, supportive treatment, and symptomatic alleviation for complications. The treatment was adjusted according to the indicators'variation. The timely review of the indicators and immunosuppressant blood concentration were performed to protect the transplanted kidney function, and the patient recovered in time. This rare case of postoperative complications of kidney transplantation were summarized and analyzed in order to accumulate clinical experience for the treatment of renal transplantation.

Objective To study the clinical,histopathological,immunohistochemical features and the diagnosis and treatment of paraganglioma of urinary bladder. Methods Two cases of paraganglioma of urinary bladder were treated. The first case was a male with painless haematuria. The abdominal ultrasonography and CT scan showed a 2.5 cm× 2.0 cm mass in the right anterior wall of the bladder, and urine vanillylmandelic acid elevated to 17. 9- 31. 3 μmol/24 h (normal range 10- 35 μmol/24 h). The second case was a female who presented with 8 years history of headache and palpitation after voiding. Abdominal ultrasonography and CT scan showed a 2. 6 cm× 1.5 cm mass in the left wall of the bladder, and her urine vanillylmandelic acid was 35.3-43.3 μmol/24 h. Results One patient underwent transurethral resection (TURBT) and the other underwent partial cystectomy.The two cases were diagnosed as bladder paraganglioma by pathological examination. Immunohistochemically, the tumor cells were positive for CgA, Syn, NSE and S-100. No evidence of recurrence was detected during follow-up at 3 months and 3 years. Conclusions Paraganglioma of urinary bladder should be considered as a low grade malignancy. Partial cystectomy should be recommended. The diagnosis depends on clinical symptoms, pathological and immunohistochemical results.

This article was aimed to explore the effect ofSan-Huang (SH) decoction on improving chemosensitivity of MCF-7 cells to epirubicin and inhibition of Aurora kinase A, in order to discuss its underlying mechanism. The inhibition of MCF-7 cells proliferation on breast cancer by SH decoction was determined by CCK-8 assay. RT-PCR and western blot were used to detect the Aurora A, p53 mRNA and protein expression level of MCF-7 cells by SH decoction. The siRNA silenced Aurora A of MCF-7 cells. CCK-8 assay was used to detect the inhibition of MCF-7 cells proliferation. CCK-8 assay and AnnexinV-FITC/PI staining were used to detect the inhibition rate and apoptosis rate of MCF-7 cells treated by the combination of SH decoction and epirubicin. Western blot analysis was used to detect the expression of apoptosis-related proteins. The results showed that SH decoction inhibited the proliferation of MCF-7 cells in a dose-dependent manner (P< 0.05). The effect of 48 h medication was better than 24 h (P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference with medication for 72 h (P > 0.05). SH decoction can regulate the Aurora A, p53 protein and mRNA expression of MCF-7 cells. siRNA silenced Aurora A, which downregulated the inhibition rate of MCF-7 cells by SH decoction for 50.0% (from 49.2% to 24.8%). The combination of SH decoction and epirubicin enhanced the effect of epirubicin on inhibiting the proliferation rate and apoptosis rate of MCF-7 cell, regulated the expression levels of apoptosis-related protein such as c-PARP, c-Caspase 3, Bcl-2, Bax, as well as the protein level of Aurora A. It was concluded that SH decoction can increase the chemosensitivity of MCF-7 cells to epirubicin, which may be related to the inhibition of Aurora Kinase A by SH decoction.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of bladder-preserving local resection combined with intra-artery chemotherapy for patients with T1G3 bladder cancer.Methods Thirty five cases with T1G3 bladder cancer were analyzed retrospectively. Patients were all treated by bladder-preserving local resection combined with intra-artery chemotherapy. Results Thirty five cases were followed up. The time of follow-up ranged from 7 to 116 months,and mean time was(66.0±18.3)months.The 5 year recurrence and bladder-preserving rate were 48.6 ％(17/35)and 68.6 ％(24/35),respectively.The overall and tumor specific survival at 5 years was 77.1％ (27/35)and 82.9 ％ (29/35).The effect of bladder-preserving local resection plus intra-artery chemotherapy was satisfactory. Moreover, intra-artery chemotherapy had no obvious side effects.Conclusion Bladder-preserving local resection combined with intra-artery chemotherapy not only can retain normal bladder function, decrease in the recurrence, but also does not reduce the survival rate. It is an effective treatment for some patients with T1G3 bladder cancer instead of cystectomy over-treatment.
