2.Diagnosis and differential diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy by magnetic resonance imaging
Journal of Practical Radiology 2016;32(3):388-391
Objective To analyze retrospectively MRI features of ectopic pregnancy correlated with pathology. Methods Eleven patients with pathologically proved ectopic pregnancy were enrolled in this study:one with cornual pregnancy, six with interstitial pregnancy, two with tubal isthmus pregnancy, one with ampullary pregnancy, and one with primary abdominal pregnancy.Six under-went MRI plain scan, and five underwent MRI both plain scan and enhancement scan.We evaluated the location, the size, the signal intensity of the gestational sac (GS),vessels around the GS,dilatation tubal, hematosalpinx and hemoperitoneum.Changes of the thickness of the endometrium, functional ovarian cysts and ovarian corpus luteum were also evaluated. Results Among these eleven patients,GSs were detected in ten patients. The locations of the GSs on MRI were corresponding with the results of surgical explora-tion.GS was not detected in only one patient with tubal pregnancy, but hematosalpinx and pelvic hematocele could be seen in MRI. Conclusion MRI is an effective modality for evaluating GS and its adjacent organs. The imaging features of GS and other indirect signs can be helpful to the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy on MRI.
3.Influencial Factors of Quality of Life for Post-stroke Patients
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2007;13(2):120-121
ObjectiveTo explore the factors influencing quality of life (QOL) in post-stroke patients.MethodsThe data of 76 first-stroke patients in three general hospitals at 1 month and 4 months after stroke were selected with Stroke Impact Scale and analyzed with multiple linear regression.ResultsThe influencing factors of patients' QOL at one months after stroke were education background, type of care, gender, pathological regions, marriage and complications. The education background was the most important influencing factor. The influencing factors of 4 months after stroke were rehabilitation nursing, marriage, social support and gender. Rehabilitation nursing was the most important influencing factor.ConclusionThe many factors influence QOL for post-stroke patients and are changed with time.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2001;0(05):-
Vitamin D receptor (VDR) genotypes and bone mineral density (BMD) of 611 subjects in Shanghai were investigated. The results indicated that the frequency of Bb genotype in male is higher than that in female (26.9% vs 12.7%, P

Objective To explore pathological changes of optic nerve in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE).Methods Established the Wistar rat models of EAE by footpad injection of guinea pig spinal cord homogenates and CFA.Animals were executed 6 days after disease onset, and optic nerves, brains and spinal cords were removed for light(HE staining and LFB staining) and electron microscope pathological analysis. Results Various degrees of inflammation and demyelination of brains and spinal cords were found in the rats of EAE group. All the EAE rats had optic neuropathy mainly manifested as inflammation and demyelination under light microscope.Demyelination changes were more apparente than inflammation in optic nerves.Electron microscope observes decreased number of myelin sheaths and Oligodendrocytes(OLGs),OLGs karyopycnosis and the loosed myelin sheaths and their disassociation from axons were also found nearby. Conclusions Optic neuropathy is obvious in this rat model of EAE,mainly manifested as optic inflammation and demyelination.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(05):-
OBJECTIVE To investigate the impact on semen quality of Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) and Chlamydia trachomatis(Ct) infections.METHODS Uu and Ct in semen were detected and the samples of semen were analyzed for 228 cases in infertiliry group and 132 cases in fertility group,The semen quantity, sperm density, survival rate, vitality, liquefacient duration, normal morphologic rate, deformity rate and death rate were compared.RESULTS Among 228 cases in infertility group,173 were positive in Uu and Ct(75.9%),obviously higher than that of fertile males(28.0%).Sperm density, vitality, survival rate and normal morphologic rate in the infertility group were remarkably lower than those of the fertility group(P0.05).CONCLUSIONS The genital infection of Uu and Ct has its impact on the multiple parameters of semen, and semen quality as a whole is decreasing.

AIM: To investigate the relationship between bone metabolism and serum leptin in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) postmenopausal female patients. METHODS: Totally 80 postmenopausal female inpatients with T2DM (according to the diagnostic criteria of WHO1999) aged 60-80 years from Yangpu District Central Hospital who gave informed consent were enrolled in the present study from January 2004 to January 2006. Exclusive criteria: Subjects who taking medications such as estrogen, glucocorticoid, or calcium or phosphorus metabolism, having a history of gastrointestinal surgery and other endocrine diseases were excluded. Each subject's age, duration, menopausal period, body mass index (BMI), fasting glucose (oxidation enzyme method), hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) (microcolumn affinity chromatography) and leptin levels (ELISA) were measured. Ultrasound characteristics of the right heel bone were measured with ultrasound bone densitometer (French UPIS3000) to identify the speed of sound (SOS), broanband ultrasound attenuation (BUA) and stiffness (STI). STI was equal to 0.67?BUA+0.28?SOS-383. Linear correlation analysis was performed in ultrasound index, general index and leptin level. RESULTS: A total of 80 postmenopausal female inpatients with T2DM were involved in the result analysis. BUA, SOS and STI were negatively related with age (r =-0.342 to -0.298,P all

Objective:To evaluate the usefulness of T2-weighed magnetic resonance images (MRI) in preoperative assessment of the depth of myometrial invasion and the staging of patients with endometrial carcinoma. Methods: 33 cases of endometrial carcinoma were examined by MRI before operation, and the pathological findings were compared with MRI findings. Results:The overall accuracy of T2-weighed magnetic resonance images in staging endometrial carcinoma was 84.85% (28/33). The accuracy for distinguishing stages Ⅰa,Ⅰb andⅠc was 84.62%(22/26). And the accuracy for localization of myometrial invasion (stageⅠc between stages Ⅰa+Ⅰb) was 96.15%(25/26). All the 3 cases with cervical invasions confirmed by pathological findings were accurately assessed by MRI. Conclusion:MRI is useful in assessing the depth of myometrial invasion and accurate staging in patients with endometrial carcinoma.
