To explore the effects of two breathholding and exerting methods on the second labor course of primiparas.Methods Six hundred primiparas were divided according to the admission time into two groups: the control group and observation group. The former took conventional breathholding and exerting method and the latter breathholding and exerting method with breathing techniques. The two groups were compared in terms of outcome of delivery, rate of episiotomy, time for breathholding and exerting and the hemorrhage volume 2h after delivery, perineal laceration and neonate asphyxia.Results The rate of spontaneous delivery in the observation group was higher than that in the control group. The rate of episiotomy, bleeding volume 2h after delivery and perineal laceration were lower. The breathholding time was significantly shorter(P<0.05).Conclusion Breathholding and exerting at the second stage of labor can reduce energetic consumption and improve the outcome of delivery.

Objective To explore the causes of respiratory tract obstruction during resuscitation of general anesthesia and nursing strategy.Method The clinical data of 13 patients with respiratory tract obstruction during resuscitation of general anesthesia after extubation were reviewed.Results The causes of respiratory tract obstruction included glossocoma,laryngismus,bronchial spasm,airway blockage with secretions and tracheal compression.The respiratory tract obstruction was cured by way of pertinent treatment.Conclusion The critical measures for the treatment of respiratory tract obstruction include careful observation and prompt detection of abnormal symptoms of hypoxia and respiratory index,and effective treatment.

Objective To explore the effect of erythropoietin (EPO) on caspase-9 mRNA expression after globe ischemia-reperfusion in rats.Methods The globe ischemia-reperfusion models of rats were divided randomly into three groups: group A, group B and group C. Both group A and group B included 5 subgroups according to different reperfusion time (6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 48 h and 72 h). The rats of group B were treated with EPO after globe ischemia-reperfusion. OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for content determination of bavachin and bakuchiol in Psoralea corylifolia.METHODS:HPLC method was adopted.The determination was performed on Shim-Pack VP-ODS column with mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water (gradient elution) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min.The detection wavelength was set at 246 nm,the column temperature was 30 ℃,and the sample size was 10 μL.RESULTS:The linear ranges of bavachin and bakuchiol were 48.9-489 ng(r=0.999 8),784-7 840 ng(r=0.999 9).RSDs of precision,stability and reproducibility tests were all lower than 2.0％.Average recoveries ranged 95.30％-99.63％ (RSD=1.45％,n=9),96.89％-100.82％ (RSD=1.36％,n=9).CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple,accurate,stable and reproducible,and can be used for the simultaneous determination of bavachin and bakuchiol in P corylifolia.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the phlegm etiology and the prevention measures of respiratory tract infection in 89 cases with heavy type hepatitis in hospital.METHODS From Jan 2004 to May 2007,the phlegm from respiratory tract hospital infection patients were studied retrospectively.RESULTS The main respiratory tract pathogens were the G-bacillui(44.5%),G+ cocci(23.2%),Candida albicans(16.8%),Aspergillus(9.0%) and yeast-like fungi(4.5%).CONCLUSIONS The investigation of the etiology suggests that the prevention of respiratory tract infection be the main measure to decrease hospital infection in heavy type hepatitis patients.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize extraction technology of flavonoids from Glechoma longituba by aqueous two-phase partitioning with ultrasonic extraction.METHODS:The extraction technology of flavonoids from G.longituba were optimized by orthogonal experiment with ultrasonic extraction time,the volume fraction of propanol,the ratio of solid to solution,amount of(NH4)2SO4 as factors and with extraction rate of flavonoids from G.longituba as index.RESULTS:The optimal conditions were as follows:extracting for 30 min with ultrasonic wave,the volume fraction of propanol 50%,the ratio of solid to solution 1:30,and the amount of(NH4)2SO4 30%.CONCLUSION:Established extraction technology which is characterized with simple operation and mild conditions shows great advantage.

ObjectiveTo compare the yield rate of rats islets between different collagenase digestion groups.MethodsThe SD rats were randomly divided into two groups as following by using random digits table:collagenase P group (pancreas digested by 1 mg/ml collagenase P) and type Ⅴ collagenase group (pancreas digested by 1 mg/ml type Ⅴ collagenase).After pancreas digestion,rat islet cells in two groups were culture,purified and stained with DTZ.The mean islet number and islet equivalent (IEQ) before and after purification were measured under an inverted microscope.The viability of purified islets was assessed by fluorescence staining of aridine orange (AO) and propidium iodide (PI) under the fluorescence microscopy.After purification and culture for two days,islets function was evaluated by insulin releasing tests in the two groups.ResultsBefore purification,there was no significant difference in the islets number obtained from the pancreas between two groups (P＞0.05),but there was significant difference in the IEQ (P＜0.05).After purification,the islets number in type Ⅴcollagenase group and collagenase P group was (485 ± 113)/pancrease and (643 ± 82)/pancrease,and IEQ was (674 ± 157)/pancreas and (989 ± 126)/pancreas,respectively (P＜0.05).Islet viability in type Ⅴcollagenase group and collagenase P group was (96.13 ±1.13) ％ and (96.38 ± 0.92) ％ respectively (P＞0.05).The results of insulin releasing tests revealed there was no significant difference in islet function stimulated by hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia between two groups (P＞0.05).ConclusionTwo types of collagenase are suitable for the islets digestion in rats.The stability of digestion and yield rate of purified islets in collagenase P group are higher than in type Ⅴ collagenase group.
