Academic profession is a professional job in which one pursues knowledge and explores the truth.It should be a gender-neutral value tropism,but this is not really the case.Based on sociology latitudes of gender segregation and role conflict,the author discusses the development of college female teachers on academic profession,and reveals the gender inequality on the academic profession.

Objective To develop a score based on clinical symptoms and signs for evaluating the severity of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAHS). Methods A total of 158 OSAHS patients were enrolled. Five clinical features,including habitual snore,sleep apnea,daytime sleepiness,obesity and hypertension were used to arrive at a clinical score and its value to evaluate severity of OSAHS was determined. Results The clinical score of the two assessors was (7.94 ± 3.22) and (7.62 ± 3.08) scores respectively and a highly significant positive correlation was obtained (r = 0.97,P= 0.00). The clinical score of mild (43 cases ), moderate(47 cases ) and severe OSAHS ( 68 cases ) was ( 5.53 ± 2.25 ), ( 7.66 ± 2.05 ) and (9.29 ± 2.27) scores respectively,and there was significant difference among three groups (P = 0.00). The general clinical score of the two assessors was (7.78 ± 2.68) scores,the apnea-hypopnea index was 37.15 ±19.53,and there was a significant positive correlation between them (r = 0.70,P= 0.00). By analysis of ROC curves, the cut-off values of clinical score for differentiating moderate-severe OSAHS from mild OSAHS was 7 scores, and the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy was 83.5%, 74.4% and 80.4% respectively. Conclusion Clinical score,with good reliability,validity and high sccuracy,is a simple method to evaluate severity of OSAHS.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of compound carbidopa tablets combined with Bunao Xifeng Zhijing soup in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease(PD)and the influence on the levels of IL-6,IL-1β,MDA,SOD and serum cystatin C. Methods:Totally 68 patients with PD were divided into the observation group and the control group with 34 cases in each. The course of treatment was 3 months. The control group was treated with compound carbidopa tablets,and the observation group was treated with Bunao Xifeng Zhijing soup additionally. The Parkinson's disease quantitation table(UPDRS),quality of life,TCM symptoms,self-rating depression scale(SDS),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and changes of inflammatory factors before and after the treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:After the treatment,UPDRS-1,UPDRS-2,UPDRS-3, UPDRS-4,PDQ-39 SI,SDS,SAS and TCM symptom scores were all decreased in both groups(P < 0. 05),and the decrease was more notable in the observation group(P < 0. 05). Observation group UPDRS-4 score also significantly lower than the control group(P < 0. 05). After treatment,two groups of patients of interleukin(IL)6,IL-1 beta,malondialdehyde(MDA),serum(C level was a significant reduction in the inhibition(P < 0. 05),superoxide dismutase(SOD)levels,compared with the previous significantly increased(P < 0. 05). And the observation group of patients with IL-6,IL-1 beta,MDA,urinary inhibition C level significantly lower than the control group,serum SOD levels are significantly higher than control group(P < 0. 05). Observation group total effectiveness 91. 18% ,significantly higher than that of control group 64. 70%(P < 0. 05). Conclusion:compound carbidopa tablets combined with Bunao Xifeng Zhijing soup in the treatment of PD can significantly improve the movements and non-motor symptoms of the patients with high safety and good clinical efficacy.

[Objective]To describe a new way of arthroscopic posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and evaluate the early stage of follow up results.[Method]Twenty four consecutive cases of isolated and combined posterior cruciate ligament deficiency were studied.Quadriceps tendon patellar bone was used for preparation of "Y" shaped autograft.Double-tunnel of femur were drilled and tibia was inlayed at their anatomical footprint.[Result]All cases were followed up for 24 months to 30months,averaging 24.5 months.Lysholm rating scales were used to make clinical subjective evaluations.Lysholm scores raised from 49.20?1.44 before operation to 87.91?1.52 after operation.Finial Lysholm evaluation showed 7 patients were excellent,16 good,and 1 poor.The good to excellent rate was 95.8%.Anteroposterior translation as clinical objective evaluations was measured with KT-1000.KT1000 arthrometer measurement showed that the average posterior translation improved from 12.85?1.10mm preoperatively to 3.98?1.99mm postoperatively.One patient was graded as failure.[Conclusion]Arthrosopy assisted prodedure of double bundle posterior cruciate ligament reconsruction using quadriceps tendon patellar bone autograft by double-tunnel of femur and inlaying of tibia is effective and reproducible.The short follow up clinical results are encouraging.

Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of secretagogne (SCGN) in neuroendocrinal tumors.Methods Immunohistochemistry was applied for detecting expression of SCGN,chromogranin A (CgA),synaptophysin (Syn) and neuronspecific enolase (NSE) in 45 cases of neuroendocrinal tumors.The difference between the expression of SCGN and the remaining indicators were compared.And different expression profiles of SCGN between groups categorized by sex,age and degree of differentiation were also compared.Results The positive expression rate of SCGN,CgA,Syn and NSE in neuroendocrinal tumors was 95.56％ (43/45),100.00％ (45/45),46.67％ (21/45) and 88.89％ (40/45) respectively,and the differences among them were statistically significant(P ＜ 0.01).Expression of SCGN was not correlated with the patient's sex,age and degree of differentiation (P＞ 0.05).Conclusions Most cases of neuroendocrinal tumors are positive for SCGN and SCGN is more sensitive than CgA.Syn is the most sensitive one for diagnosis of neuroendocrinal tumors.SCGN can be seen as a novel neuroendocrinal marker in the clinical diagnosis of neuroendocrinal tumors.

Objective To study the correlation between serum bilirubin and restenosis after stent implantation of coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods Two hundred and fourtynine patients with CHD were divided into Instent-restenosis (ISR) of CHD group and non-ISR of CHD group according to their angiography findings.Theirserum bilirubin levels were compared and correlation between serum bilirubin level and ISR of CHD was studied.Results The serum bilirubin level was significantlylower in ISRof CHD group than in non-ISR group (P ＜ 0.05),in TBIL (9.9322 ± 3.8748μmol/L) to (12.08 ±4.6679μmol/L)、DBIL (3.1744 ± 1.60μmol/L) to (3.8949 ± 1.825μmol/L)、IBIL (6.757 ±2.822μmol/L) to (8.174 ± 3.388μmol/L).Conclusions The serum bilirubinlevel is lower in CHD patients with ISR than in CHD patients with non-ISR,which is an indepent risk factor for ISR of CHD.

Allyamine or sodium vinyl sulfate was added into the solutions of acrylamide and N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide to make mixed monomer solutions. These solutions were respectively introduced in methacrylsiloxane-modifidied capillaries. In situ polymerization was initiated by thermally induced radicals. A polymer layer was chemically bonded to the inner wall, resulting in valently modified capillary columns. By altering the addition amounts of allyamine or sodium vinyl sulfate, differently charged polymeric layers were obtained. Five columns were prepared. The result indicated that columns modified with polymers containing amino groups were advantageous over those containing sulphonic acid groups or none. Further comparison revealed that the columns modified with a solution containing 0.15 mol/L acrylamide, 0.03 mol/L N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide and more than 1 mol/L allylamine exhibited good resolution. It is convenient to adjust electroosmotic flows(EOFs) in the columns by this way. In the meantime unspecific protein adsorption was efficiently depressed. When subjected) to zone electrophoresis of proteins from chicken egg white, the column showed high resolution and good reproducibility.

Objective To study the correlation of fingerprint chromatograms of Cinnamomi Ramulus formula granules, decoction pieces and water decoction by HPLC; To investigate the difference of main chemical constituents among different forms. Methods The Diamonsil C18 column (4.6 mm × 250 mm, 5 μm) was used with mobile phase of acetonitrile and 0.1% phosphoric acid at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, with detection wave of 280 nm and temperature of 30 ℃. The detection of 10 batches of Cinnamomi Ramulus formula granules, 10 batches of decoction pieces and 10 batches of water decoction were established respectively. Results Totally 12 peaks in the HPLC fingerprint chromatogram from 10 batches of formula granules could be tracked in the water decoction; 10 peaks in the HPLC fingerprint chromatogram could be tracked in the decoction pieces. Three components, such as protocatechuic acid, coumarin and cinnamic acid were verified. Conclusion The main chemical components of Cinnamomi Ramulus formula granules and water decoction are basically the same, and the common component contents have similar proportion.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV)infection screening by saliva polymerase chain reaction.Methods From November 1,2010 to February 29,2012,6733 newborns born in Changzhou Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital were enrolled.Saliva samples (0.2 ml) were collected within 3 days after birth,CMV-DNA was detected by real time-polymerase chain reaction and hearing screening was done with EroScan transient-evoked otoacoustic emissions at the same time.The positive rate of congenital CMV infection screening was calculated and clinical manifestations were analyzed.Chi square test was applied to statistical analysis.Results Totally 6733 newborns were screened and 107 of them were found to be positive with CMV DNA,the positive rate was 1.59％ (107/6733),among which 88 were asymptomatic (82.2％) and 19 were symptomatic (17.8 ％).The major clinical manifestations of the neonates with positive CMVDNA were pathological jaundice (13 cases),hepatomegaly (5 cases),granulocytopenia,thrombocytopenic purpura,anemia and small for gestational age (two cases each).Fourteen newborns had only one major clinical manifestation,three newborns had two major clinical manifestations and two newborns had three major clinical manifestations.There was no statistical difference between newborns with positive and negative CMV DNA on hearing screening [hearing loss in one ear:8.4％ (9/107) vs 5.8％ (382/6626); hearing loss in two ears:3.7 ％ (4/107) vs 2.4 ％ (159/6626),x2 =2.776,P=0.241].Conclusion It is feasible to screen congenital CMV infection with saliva sample.

BACKGROUND: In clinical, propofol can contract cerebral vessels, decrease cerebral blood flow, decrease brain metabolic oxygen consumption,which can decrease pressure in brain. Studies prove that propofol can protect endothelial cell that may be injuried by active oxygen injury and also decrease nerves injury of experimental rats with cerebral ischemia.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the protective effects of propofol on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rat and its mechanism.DESIGN: Randomized and controlled study.SETTING:Anesthesiological Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University.PARTICIPANTS: The experiment was conducted at Pharmacological Laboratory of Medical College of Xi' an Jiaotong University in 2004. Totally 40 healthy male SD rats, aged 3-4 months, weighting 200-300 g, were divided randomly into four groups: Model group, control group, nimodipine group and propofol group, with 10 in each group.METHODS: The rats were anesthetized by intraperitoneal methods with ketamine and propofol separately. When righting reflex was abolished, external carotid artery was separated and ligated. A nylon thread was put at the stump site of external carotid artery without ligation. Model group: 10 mL normal saline was injected into intraperitone in 10 minutes before ischemia.Control group: 10 mL normal saline was injected into intraperitone at the end of operation. Nimodipine group: 10 g/L nimodipine (1 mg/kg) was injected into intraperitone in10 minutes before ischemia. Propofol group: 10 g/L propofol (110 mg/Kg) was injected into intraperitone in 10 minutes before ischemia. When ischemia was lasted for 3 hours, nylon thread was with drawed for reperfusion. When reperfusion was lasted for 3 hours, blood samples were obtained from orbit. Skulls were opened and brains were removed.Effect of propofol on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury was observed.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Infarction area, cerebral water content,serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase (CK) levels, brain superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, malondialdehyde (MDA) and Ca2+levels were measured. Ultrastructure of brain tissue was examined under electron microscope.RESULTS: ①Infarct area in propofol group was significantly smaller than that in model group [(10.45±3.65, 19.68±4.03)%, (t=3.493,P ＜ 0.01)]. ② CK level was lower in propofol group than that in model group [(471±200,1 930±917) IU/L, (t=3.493, P ＜ 0.01)]; and LDH level in propofol group [(8 240±2 580) U/L] was significantly different from that in model group [(15 470±2 680) U/L, (t=3.441, P ＜ 0.01)]; And water content in brain tissue was lower in propofol group than that in model group [(78.2±2.4,82.9±2.9)%, (t=3.321, P ＜ 0.01)]. ③ The death rate of rats was 13.6%in propofol group, and 47.6% in model group, the former was decreased obviously as compared with the latter, and the difference was significant (t=6.21,P ＜ 0.05). ④ SOD activity was (1 690±780) U/g in propofol group and (830±110) U/g in model group, the difference was significant (t=3.420, P ＜ 0.01); but MDA content was obviously lower in propofol group than that in model group [(0.058±0.014, 0.115±0.047) μmol/g, (t=3.336, P ＜ 0.01)].CONCLUSION: Propofol has protective effect on cerebral ischemia-reper fusion injury in rats, and the mechanism is related with inhibition of Ca2+overloading and lipid peroxidation.
