Objective To study the relationship between abnormal blood pressure distribution characteristics and the influencing factors for the prevention of hypertension and low blood pressure to provide reference. Methods Regarding the Guangzhou City adult group as the research object,we analyzed the distribution of the adults abnormal blood pressure in age, gender , urban and rural areas, as well as of occupations. Results The detection rate of blood pressure abnormalities was 15.9 % , which accounted for 12.4% of hypertension, 3.5% of hypotension. On the whole, the detection rate of hypertension was 18% in rural, higher than 9.8% in urban. The detection rate of hypotension in rural areas was 2.3% , 4.0% in urban. The detection rate of hypertension of men was high than that of women, and the detection rate of hypertension gradually increased by the age increased. At the same time, hypertension and hypotension was significantly affected with the factors of education, urban and rural areas, obesity and so on. Conclusion The detection rate of hypertension is high in rural areas than that in urban, and men than women, and the detection rate of low blood pressure is on the opposite. Both of them is significantly affected by the factors of education, urban and rural areas, obesity and so on.

Respiratory depression is a common adverse effect of opioids .Currently, the mechanisms and manage-ment of opioid-induced respiratory depression ( OIRD) are one of the research foci .OIRD arises from stimulation ofμ-opioid receptors in the pre-Botzinger complex and the Kolliker-Fuse neurons .Adenylyl cyclase , calcium chan-nels, and G-protein-gated inwardly rectifying potassium (GIRK) channels may be the key cellular signaling mecha-nisms of OIRD .

AIM To study the effects of parathyroid hormone(PTH) on intracellular calcium concentration([Ca 2+ ] i), hypertrophy and apoptosis in rat cardiomyocytes. METHODS Neonatal rat cardiomyocyte hypertrophic response was assayed by measuring cell surface area and protein content. [Ca 2+ ] i was measured by confocal microscope using Fluo 3/AM as fluorescent indicator.Apoptosis was determined by flow cytometer and electron microscope. RESULTS After 7 d exposure to PTH 1~34 of 0 01 and 0 1 ?mol?L -1 ,[Ca 2+ ] i,surface area and protein content, and apoptosis rate(APO) of cardiomyocytes were significantly increased, especially in high concentration groups. While application of both nifedipine and PTH 1~34 significantly decreased lose indicators, they were still markedly higher than normal. CONCLUSIONS PTH 1~34 dose dependently induces hypertrophy and apoptosis of cardiomyocyte, and this is attributed able to augmented entry of calcium into cell via voltage dependent Ca 2+ channel.

Objective To investigete the effect of low-concentration ozone (O3) on voltage-gated calcium channels in fetal rat spinal cord neurons in vitro. Methods The spinal cord neurons were cultured in vitro and identified by immunohistochemistry staining. Then the cells were seeded into the culture dish and randomly divided into 3 groups: control group (group C, n = 5), O3 15 μg/ml (group O3-15, n = 4) and O3 20 μg/ml group (group O3-20, n = 8). The cells were exposed to O3 15 and 20 μg/ml in group O3-15 and O3-20 respectively, while the cells were exposed to air in group C. After 20 min incubation, the electrophysiological activity of calcium channels in neurons was recorded using whole-cell patch-clamp technique. Results Peak calcium current density was significantly increased in group O3-15 and O3-20 compared with group C ( P < 0.05). Half-activation voltage was significantly lower in group O3-15 and O3-20 than in group C ( P < 0.05). Peak calcium current density was significantly higher in group O3 -20 than in group O3-15 ( P < 0.05) . There was no significant difference in half-inactivation voltage among the three groups ( P > 0.05). Conclusion Low concentration of O3 can make the activation of the calcium ion channel easy in fetal rat spinal cord neurons in vitro.

Objective To evaluate the performance of surgical approaches in the treatment of linear scleroderma of the head and face. Methods Forty-three patients with stable linear scleroderma of the head and face were included in this study. Surgical approaches, which included direct suture, skin flap translocation, soft-tissue augmentation and filling operation with dermal tissues, were selected and utilized alone or in combination according to the size, location and degree of atrophy and depression of lesions. Results After surgical treatment, wound dehiscence developed in one of these patients, but the wound healed after two sessions of suture. During one year of follow up, all the patients achieved favorite color, feeling and blood supply in the filling areas as well as good facial profile and visual appearance with no obvious convexity and concavity. Skin flaps matched well with surrounding tissues, incision lines were inconspicuous, and hairline looked naturally with well-distributed hairs in these patients after treatment. Patients were satisfied with treatment results. Conclusion Satisfied cosmetic outcomes can be achieved by using surgical approaches in patients with stable linear scleroderma of the head and face.
