To compare the effect of surgical and non-surgical treatment for multiple fractured ribs retrospectively, with 30 cases in each group. Patient's length of stay, visual analogue scale ( VAS) pain, independent ambulation time, cost of hospitalization, thoracoplasty degree and the lung ventilation function were evaluated. The results showed that VAS declined obviously in patients of surgical group, length of stay and independent ambulation time were shorter. Compared to the non-surgical group, the maximal voluntary ventilation increased significantly and ref-erral rib reduction was significantly better, but cost of the surgical group was higher. It's an effective treatment for using nickel titanium memory alloy embracing fixator in the treatment of multiple fractured rips, and is worthy of clinical application.

This platform has realized the whole-course network management of resi-dent training, and many common functions such as the application of training base , on-line registra-tion, on-line real-time monitoring of trainees' daily training state, on-line graduation exam arrangement, and inquiry of statistical information of trainees in the province . It saves human and management costs , improves management efficiency , and orderly pushes forward the standardized of residents training.

OSCE is an examination of objective evaluation of the clinical skills.This article introduced the development of OSCE at home and aboard,and compared the difference of the exam setting in America,England,Canada and China Medical University.The advantages and disadvantages of SP in OSCE were also analyzed.It was discussed that OSCE would be widely applied in China.

Objective The purpose of this study was to analyze and evaluate the educational measurement indexes from the undergraduates clinical skills competition in a medical university.The rationality of the competition was discussed in the view of education survey.Methods 84 students' results which selected from the China Medical University 2nd Clinical Skills Competition were the research objects in this study.The indexes of the difficulty,discrimination,reliability and criterion-reated validity of the competition were evaluated based on the Education surveying principle.The difficulty was calculated by subjective topic difficulty computing formula,and other indexes were carried out with SPSS 18.0 except the difficulty index.Results The average difficulty of the questions of this university was 0.61,the average discrimination was 0.77 and the overall reliability was 0.926.The OSCE scores of the participating students were taken as the criterion in this study.The calculated criterion-related validity was 0.416.Conclusion The college students' clinical skills competition has good reliability,discrimination and effective criterion-related validity.For the selective competition,the difficulty can be further improved while considering the scope of the topic.

Objective To construct expressing recombinant of recF and recO from Deinococcus radiodurans R1and express the target protein in E.coli BL21(DE)3.Methods recF and recO gene were amplified by PCR from genomic DNA of Deinococcus radiodurans R1 and inserted into expression plasmid vector pET30b(+) to construct pET30b(+)-recF and pET30b(+)-recO.The recombinant plasmids were transformed into E.coli BL21(DE)3 and the recombinant proteins were expressed by the isopropyl-?-D-thiogalactopyranoside(IPTG) and were analyzed with SDS-PAGE.The changes in the survival rate of bacteria in each group before-and after UV-irradiation were calculated.Results The recombinant plasmid pET30b(+)-recO and pET30b(+)-recF was obtained and the recombinant protein could be highly expressed in E.coli BL21(DE)3.Conclusion This study has provided a foundation for further studies and applications of the recombinant RecF and RecO,and initial detection shows that recO and recF gene can increase the resistant ability of E.coli.

BACKGROUND:Subcutaneous fat of human body is a rich reservoir of adipose derived stromal stem cells(ADSCs).ADSCs can proliferate rapidly when being cultured in vitro,and has the capacity of multi-directional differentiation.ADSCs attracted much attention in research of tissue engineered seed cells.OBJECTIVE:To isolate and culture stromal vascular fraction(SVF)cells from rabbit subcutaneous fat in vitro,and to testify whether it has multiple differentiation capacity.METHODS:SVF cells were isolated in vitro from rabbits,and cultured under standard condition.Cellular surface antigens CD44,CD45 and CD29 of passage 3 SVF cells were examined using flow cytometry.Passage 3 SVF calls were induced to differentiate into osteoblasts,chondrocytes,and lipocytes.Oil red staining was used to examine lipocyte induction.Alkaline phosphatase(ALP)staining,alizarin red staining and von Kossa staining were used to examine osteoblast induction.Type Ⅱ collagen immunohistochemical staining and type Ⅱ collagen mRNA RT-PCR were used to examine chondrocyte differentiation.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Primary SVF cells were multi-angular or short spindle-shaped.Passage 3 SVF calls were long spindle-shaped.Flow cytometry showed CD44+,CD29+,CD45.Oil red staining exhibited positive reaction in lipocyte induction group.ALP staining,alizarin red staining and Von kossa staining demonstrated positive reactions in osteoblast induction group.Type Ⅱ Collagen immunohistochemical staining and alcian blue staining have suggested positive reactions at 14 days of chondrogenic induction group.RT-PCR of type Ⅱ collagen mRNA test showed that the product band had strong signal at 14 days of chondrogenic induction group compared with that before induction.Above mentioned results have indicated that SVF cells isolated from rabbit subcutaneous fat have identical surface makers of stem cells,and have the ability to differentiate into lipocytes,ostsoblasts and chondrocytes in vitro by induction,and it could be concluded that the SVF cells were ADSCs.

BACKGROUND: Small intestinal submucosa (SIS) has good compatibility with cells and tissues, and has good degradabUity. It is an ideal scaffold for tissue engineering. Inducing adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs) seeded on SIS can construct target tissues, which has the potential to be used in clinical treatment.OBJECTIVE: To prepare decellularized porcina SIS matrix, and testify its biocompatibility with rabbit ADSCs cultured in vitro. METHODS: SIS was processed by enzyme digestion-hypertonic saline decellularization, lyophilized at low temperature, and sterilized by gamma radiation. Paraffin sections were used to observe the effect of decellularization of SIS, and the surface structures of SIS were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Rabbit ADSCs were isolated and cultured, and passage 3 ADSCs were seeded onto one side or both sides of SIS. After one weak of co-culture, the cell-scaffold composites were observed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: SIS was white and semi-transparent film. Paraffin sections showed no cells on SIS matrix; electron microscopy showed loose weave structure of serosal surface and dense packing structure of mucosal surface. After one week of co-cultivation, plenty of ADSCs were observed on the surface of SIS. In ADSCs seeded onto one side of SIS group, a large number of cells grew on the superior surface, and few even no cells were observed on inferior surface of SIS. When ADSCs were seeded onto both sides of SIS, cells adhered to SIS in paraffin sections. Results show that enzyme digestion-hypartonic saline decellulariation can decellularize SIS completely, and SIS can support ADSCs growth.

Objective To evaluate the value of high resolution MR imaging (MRI) with diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) in the preoperative diagnosis of rectal cancer. Methods 55 patients with rectal cancer may underwent high resolution MRI examinations before surgical operation, and with DWI (b=600, 1000 s/mm2). The apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of the tumors were measured. The image findings were compared with pathology. Select 15 patients without rectal lesion, ADC value of the tumors and normal rectal wall were measured. Results High resolution MRI diagnosis rectal cancer sensitivity, specific degree and coincidence rate were 95.7% (45/47), 50.0% (4/8), 89.1% (49/55), high resolution MRI with DWI diagnosis colorectal cancer sensitivity, specific degree and coincidence rate were 100.0 % (47/47), 75.0 % (6/8), 96.4 % (53/55). The high resolution MRI tumor T-staging agreed with the histological stage that was 88.9% (40/45), the diagnosis of T2 stage was 87.5 % (14/16), the diagnosis of T3 stage was 89.6 % (26/29). The same b-valued under the ADC values of rectal cancer tumors and the normal rectal were different (P ＜0.05). No correlation can be pointed out between ADC and pathological classification of each tumor.Conclusion High resolution MRI with DWI for the rectal cancer preoperative diagnosis and T-staging has higher diagnostic accuracy, DWI can serve as an important supplement sequence of colorectal cancer diagnosis.

Objective: To evaluate mid-term outcomes for the application of homograft valve conduits in right ventricular outlfow reconstruction in patients with congenital heart disease. Methods: We retrospectively studied 122 patients who received right ventricular outlfow reconstruction by homograft valve conduits application in our hospital from 2007-10 to 2014-07. The patients were divided into different sets of groups, by surgical procedure: Ross group,n=38 and Non-Ross group,n=84; by median age: ≤6 years group,n=61 and >6 years group, n=61; by the type of valve conduits: Aortic homograft group,n=21 and Pulmonary homograft group,n=101; by the diameter of conduits: ≤19 mm group,n=31 and >19 mm group,n=91. The relationships between pre-operative conditions, different types of conduits and diameters to the prognosis were analyzed; the post-operative death, re-operation, free homograft valve conduits failure rates were followed-up in all patients. Results: The average follow-up time was (35.4 ± 22.2) months and 2/122 (1.6%) patients died during that period, the overall free conduits failure rates at 1, 5 and 7 years post-operation were 94.2%, 81.2% and 75.4% respectively. The free conduits failure rates in Pulmonary homograft group at 1, 5, 7 years post-operation were 96.2%, 86.1%,79.9% and in Aortic homograft group were 80.0%, 59.7%, 59.7% respectively,P=0.011; in Ross group were 96.4%, 89.0%, 89.0% and in Non-Ross group were 91.3%, 78.3%, 67.1% respectively,P=0.045. While the age, conduits diameter, cyanosis and re-operation had no statistical meaning to free conduits failure rates, allP>0.05. Conclusion: Application of homograft valve conduits had good mid-term outcomes in right ventricular outflow reconstruction in patients with congenital heart disease, while the long-term effects should be further emphasized in clinical practice.

The development of body donation remains relatively slow in China.One of its main influencing factors restricted to the development of donation is the anatomy teachers' quality.Lots of volunteers to donate and their families are not satisfied with it,which eventually leads to the failure of the donation.Therefore,enhancing anatomy teachers' quality has become one of the key steps in the donated work.It needs to improve the idea awareness of teachers,to standardize the behavior of teachers,to enhance the role models of teachers,and to carry out a regular humanities education and training to truly realize "people-oriented" goals.
