Objective To explore the antibacterial activity of the baicalin injection in vitro.Methods The broth doubling dilution method has been adopted.And the minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC)and minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC)of baicalin injection on 161 common pathogenic bacteria obtained from clinical practice were determined.Results The MIC range of baicalin against clinically common pathogenic bacteria is 0.1～50mg/ml and the MBC range is 0.2～50mg/ml.The MIC and MBC against staphylococci is remarkably lower than those against other bacteria,with the MIC range of 0.1～6.3mg/ml and MBC range of 0.2～12.5 respectivel.The MIC50,MIC90 are respectively 0.4mg/ml and 0.8mg/ml.Conclusions The baicalin injection possesses various levels of inhibitory effect on manifold pathogenic bacteria,especially the antibacterial effect on the staphylococci.

Objective To report 44 cases of meta-superior position anorectal malformation in different age therapied by posterior sagittal anorectoplasty(PSARP) operation, and to discuss possibility of one-stage anorectoplasty via posterior sagittal approach in neonate. Methods The clinical data of 44 cases meta-superior position anorectal malformation,which were treated by PSARP,were studied retrospectively. Results Of 44 cases, 15 were treated by colon stoma in neonate, then PSARP was executed after 3～7 months. And the rest 29 cases (9 in neonate and 20 in 2 months～9 years) were operated with one-stage anorectoplasty via posterior sagittal approach. Among 21 children followed from post-operration 6 months to 5 years, 18 cases of defecation clinical score were fineness. Conclusion The curative effects of PSARP in neonate to meta-superior position anorectal malformation is satisfactory. If the neonate is in good condition, one-stage anorectoplasty via posterior sagittal approach could be executed in infant, and favourable defecate function could be remain.

Objective To investigate the effects and complications of injection with triamcinolone acetonide acetate and Pingyangmycin on maxillofacial and perineal hemangioma. Methods Local injection with triamcinolone acetonide acetate (TAA) and Pingyangmycin (PYM) was performed to treat infant maxillofacial and perineal hemangiomas: strawberry hemangioma, cavernous hemangioma and mixed hemangioma, in 107 infants admitted to our hospital from 1996 to 2005. If the lesion did not disappear after the first treatment, the injection would be performed again every four to six weeks interval, and the total dose of TAA and PYM could not be more than 100 mg and 40 mg respectively. The injection treatment was repeated 4 times for one course and the therapeutic effects on maxillofacial and perineal hemangioma was evaluated. Results All cases were followed up for one year after local injection of TAA and PYM. The cure rate was 87.8%, the effective rate was 9.3%, and the ineffective rate was 2.8%. Conclusion The injection of TAA and PYM is a reliable and less side effect therapeutic method, and valuable for infant maxillofacial and perineal hemangioma.

Objective To compare the advantages and disadvantages of retroperitoneal laparoscopic sur -gery and open surgery in treatment of adrenal adenoma , in order to provide the clinical evidence for the selection of surgical treatment of adrenal adenoma .Methods 120 cases undergoing surgical treatment from Jan .2005 to Dec.2010 were randomly divided into laparoscopic group and open surgery group .Operation indicators , postop-erative recovery indicators , postoperative clinical manifestations , success of operation , complications and follow-up data were evaluated and compared between the 2 groups.Results 3 cases in laparoscopic group and 4 cases in open surgery group withdrew.The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, and blood transfusion cases were (89.6 ±18.4)min vs (124.2 ±27.3)min, (70.2 ±17.2)ml vs (205.7 ±51.9)ml, and 8 cases vs 20 cases in laparo-scopic group and open surgery group .Extubation time, starting feeding time, time of getting out of bed, and length of hospital stay were (2.8 ±1.3)d vs (4.2 ±2.0)d, (1.7 ±1.1)d vs (2.9 ±1.4)d, (2.6 ±1.2)d vs (5.1 ± 3.1)d and (6.2 ±3.1)d vs (13.5 ±5.4)d in laparoscopic group and open surgery group .Postoperative analge-sic using cases and drainage volume were 11 cases vs 43 cases, and(15.4 ±4.2)ml vs(45.1 ±12.7)ml in lapa-roscopic group and open surgery group .The difference had statistical significance (P＜0.01).The cost was simi-lar between the 2 groups(P>0.05).The open surgery group had no death or relapse within 1 year, while 5 cases in laparoscopic group converted to laparotomy , with 1 case of death and 2 cases of relapse within 1 year.The complications incidence was 3.51%(2/57)in laparoscopic group, obviously lower than 16.07%(9/56)in open surgery group(P＜0.01).Conclusions Compared to the traditional open surgery, retroperitoneal laparoscopic sur-gery has advantages of less trauma, fewer complications, and faster postoperative recovery in treatment of adrenal ade-noma.Experience and skills of surgeon need to be improved to reduce the possibility of failure or recurrence .

Objective To investigate the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in differential diagnosis of pancreatic pseudocysts,cystadenomas and cystadenocarcinomas,so as to improve diagnostic accuracy of the condition.Methods The results of CEUS and conventional ultrasound for 71 patients with pancreatic cystic lesions were analyzed retrospectively,and compared with the finally obtained surgical-pathological examination to assess the ability of qualitative diagnosis between two methods.Results In 71 pancreatic cystic lesions,there were 32 pancreatic pseudocysts,24 cystadenomas and 15 cystadenocarcinomas.The sensitivity and accuracy of CEUS for pancreatic pseudocysts and cystadenocarcinomas were 84.4％,93.0％ and 86.7％,88.7％,which were higher than those of conventional ultrasound 56.3 ％,80.3 ％ and 53.3 ％,74.6％ (x2 =6.06,4.92,3.97,4.71,all P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion There are some similarities in terms of imaging manifestations among pancreatic pseudocysts,cystadenomas and cystadenocarcinomas.Combining conventional ultrasound with CEUS can help the differential diagnosis of pancreatic cystic lesions.

Objective To identity the risk factors for supine hypotension syndrome (SHS) after spinal anesthesia in parturients.Methods A total of 204 parturients,scheduled for elective cesarean section,were divided into either control group or SHS group depending on whether or not SHS (systolic blood pressure [SBP] in the upper extremity decreased by ＞ 30 mmHg or decreased to ＜ 80 mmHg) developed after spinal anesthesia.The baseline patient characteristics such as age,body height and weight,gestational weeks and biparietal diameter were recorded.Supine stress test (SST) was performed.Heart rate,blood pressure in upper and lower extremities,perfusion index,pleth variability index and intravesical pressure were recorded when patients were in supine position and in left lateral position before spinal anesthesia.The risk factors of which P values were less than 0.05 would enter the multi-factor logistic regression analysis to stratify the risk factors for SHS.Results Among the 204 patients,99 cases developed SHS after spinal anesthesia,and the incidence was 48.5％.Logistic regression analysis showed that maternal body weight,biparietal diameter,the difference in SBP between upper and lower extremities in supine position,the difference in SBP in upper extremities caused by changing position and positive SST were risk factors for SHS after spinal anesthesia (P＜0.05 or 0.01).Conclusion Maternal body weight,biparietal diameter,the difference in SBP between the upper and lower extremities in supine position,the difference in SBP in upper extremities caused by changing position and positive SST are risk factors for SHS after spinal anesthesia in parturients.

AIM: To observe the changes of interleukin-6(IL-6), IL-8 and tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?) in serum and lung at different time, and the effects of anisodamine (654-2) treatment in rats with oleic acid-induced ARDS. METHODS: The ARDS model induced by intravenous injection of oleic acid in the rat was used and levels of IL-6, IL-8, TNF-? in serum and lung tissue supernatant were measured using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RESULTS: Levels of serum and lung tissue IL-6, IL-8, TNF-? in oleic acid type ARDS 4 h group were increased significantly. These cytokines in oleic acid type ARDS 8 h group were lower than that of ARDS 4 h group, but serum IL-6, TNF-? and lung tissue IL-6 were still higher than that of control group . In oleic acid type ARDS 16 h group, serum IL-6, TNF-? were lower than that of the ARDS 8 h group and serum TNF-? and lung tissue IL-6 were higher than that of control group. After 654-2 treatment, the levels of serum and lung tissue IL-6, TNF-? were decreased significantly. CONCLUSION: IL-6, IL-8 and TNF-? might play important roles in the oleic acid-induced ARDS in the rat. 654-2 might alleviate ARDS by inhibiting excess production of IL-6 and TNF-?.
