2.Study on Antitumor Activity in Vivo and Effect on Hematopoiesis of Extract of Spatholobus suberctus Dunn

Objective To observe the effect of antitumor and hematopoiesis of the extract of Spatholobus suberctus Dunn (SSCE) in vivo. Methods The mouse model of Lewis lung carcinoma was used to investigate the effects of SSCE on tumor growth and hematopoiesis by detecting the counts of peripheral blood, the counts and classify of the cells in bone marrow. Result The tumor inhibitory rate of SSCE on Lewis lung cancer was 30.65%. SSCE can stimulate the proliferation of bone marrow cells and relieve the marrow depression induced by chemotherapy, at the same time, the physique of the mouse treated by SSCE was not effected. Conclusion SSCE exits antitumor effect, moreover, it can stimulate the bone marrow cells to proliferate and relieve the marrow depression produced by chemotherapy.
3.IDENTIFICATION OF STEM CELL ISLANDS IN REGENERATED EPIDERMIS

To identify the stem cell islands in regenerated epidermis, the same biopsies used in our previous experiments were used in this study. CD87 immunohistochemicy and PAS staining were used. The scant CD87 positive cells could be found in basal membrane. Also, the positive staining of PAS could be seen in the basal membrane in both normal and regenerated epidermis. No CD87 positive cells were found in the spinous and granular layers. The results indicate that the error in metrology could be excluded from both CD87 immunohistochemicy and PAS staining, and that the stem cell islands may come from the cell reversion in regenerated epidermis.
4.A case report of breast development as the first manifestation combined with 46, XY complete disorder of sex development

To report the process of diagnosis and treatment of 1 case with SRY gene mutation of 46, XY complete gonadal dysplasia, and to discuss the clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of the disease.Due to clitoral enlargement for 8 months, a 9 years old girl was admitted to the Children′s Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University School of Medicine.Previously, she had early breast development, and suffered from high gonadotropin expression when she was 6 years and 4 months old.Physical examination: breast B3 stage, female vulva, clitoris hypertrophy, normal urethra, normal vaginal opening, slightly thick hymen ring, the development of pubic hair was 2 stages, and Prader score level 1.Laboratory data showed elevated levels of estradiol, testosterone, and human chorionic gonadotrophin.Genetic examination revealed that the chromosome karyotype was 46, XY and SRY gene detection was positive.Therefore, the patient was diagnosed with 46, XY complete gonadal dysplasia.Bilateral gonadectomy was performed, and the posto-perative pathological diagnosis was bilateral gonadoblastoma with left dysgerminoma.The tumor did not recur after che-motherapy.The etiology of early breast development needs to be carefully identified.Patients with sexual characteristics dysplasia need to accept the chromosome karyotype analysis and gene detection, and surgical exploration should be performed when necessary for a correct diagnosis as soon as possible.
5.The relationship between gastric intestinal metaplasia and helicobacter pylori infection in the elderly

Objective To evaluate the relationship between intestinal metaplasia (IM) and helicobacter pylori infection in elderly patients with chronic gastritis. Methods The patients over 60 years old and diagnosed as chronic gastritis by endoscopy from January 2008 to December 2009 were divided into two groups by pathological appearance. One group was chronic gastritis with IM (IM group), the other was chronic gastritis without IM (NIM group). The infection of helicobacter pylori, activity of inflammation, atrophy of gland, and folliculus lymphaticus in gastric mucosa were observed. Results The infection of helicobacter pylori, infiltration of neutrophil and atrophy ratio of gland were significantly higher in IM group than in NIM group (52.7% vs. 37.3%, 35.5% vs.24.0 %, 36.6 % vs. 3.5%, x2 = 10. 677, 7.641, 95. 606; P = 0. 001, 0. 006, 0. 000, respectively).There was no statistical difference in presentation of folliculus lymphaticus between IM group and NIM group (x2 = 0.003, P=0. 957). The infiltration of neutrophil and presentation of folliculus lymphaticus were significantly higher in helicobacter pylori positive patients than in helicobacter pylori negative patients (45.8% vs. 14.8%, 42.6% vs. 4.2%, both P=0.000). Conclusions The appearance of IM seems to be related with helicobacter pylori infection, activity inflammation and atrophy of gland. The presentation of folliculus lymphaticus seems to be closely related with helicobacter pylori infection. The eradication treatment of helicobacter pylori infection in the elderly chronic gastritis patients should be strengthened.
6.The Imaging Analysis of the Spinal Bursting Fracture

Objective To study the value of common X-ray and CT scanning in the spinal bursting fracture (abridged English:BF).Methods By the frontal,lateral X-ray film and CT scanning,the imaging manifestations of BF in 43 cases were analysed,contrasted,summarised and classified .Results Among the BF 43 cases,the classifications were type A(10 cases),type B(15 cases),type C(2 cases),type D(9 cases) and type E(7 cases).The three-post injure had 34 cases,the two-post injure had 9 cases,the spinal canal narrowing:0?was 8 cases,1?was 12 cases,2? was 23 cases;the rear spinal edges discontinuation was 35 cases.Conclusion The diagnostic value of X-ray film to BF is reflecting the bones injured change of spinal fracture type,flexion and damaged rear edge.The CT scanning advantage is showing the fracture lines trend,relative scope,degree of spinal canal deformation and narrow,infering the pressed situation and injured spinal cord.The two methods combine and confirm each other in order to help clinical diagnosis the right treating.

Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of the lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration by CT scanning.Methods The clinical representation and CT view of 809 cases with degenerative lumbar intervertebral disc were retrospectively analyzed.Results According to the different CT representation character,the degenerative lumbar intervertebral disc may be divided into the lumbar intervertebral disc denaturation bulge in 96 cases and the lumbar intervertebral disc herniation in 713 cases.Conclusion CT scanning is a value method to diagnosing degenerative lumbar intervertebral disc.

Objective To improve recognition of the processus articularis arthropathy.Methods CT findings of the processus articularis arthropathy was analysed.Results According to the CT findings of the 94 cases processus articularis arthropathy,CT signs and the syndrome of this disease were summarized five types:①zygapophyseal hypertrophy and osteophyte formation;②stricture or asymmetry of articular space ;③vacuum phenomenon of articular space ;④pachynsis or calcification of articular capsule ;⑤articular instability.Conclusion The processus articularis arthropathy is a very high incidence of a disease.The CT scanning is very important significance to the disease.
10.Intracellular calcium and growth suppression of human breast cancer cells exposed by high intensity ultrasound

Objective Study on the intracellular calcium and growth suppression of human breast cancer cells exposed by high intensity ultrasound (HIU). Methods Exposed human breast cancer cells MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 in vitro with HIU (50 W/cm2). Examined the intracellular calcium from exposed cells with Fura-2 fluorescence probe. The cell viabilities were measured by MTT assay. The rate of cell apoptosis and distribution of cell cycle were detected on flow cytometry. Results The lever of intracellular calcium went up in pace with exposed time of HIU, MCF-7 cells were (572±20.1), (670±18.9), (815± 16.3) nmol/L (F = 663.65, P<0.001), MDA-MB-231 cell was (582±16.3), (687±19.7), (843± 14.8) nmol/L (F = 863.06, P<0.001), and the distribution of cell cycle waved to G0-G1, the ratios of G0-G1 in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 were (60.5±5.5)%, (66.3±7.0)%, (74.5±8.2)% (F=8.17, P = 0.002) and (58.5± 6.3) %, (66.1±6.3)%, (71.2±7.9) % (F=7.51, F= 0.003). Apoptotic rate upgraded gradually, the apoptotic rates of MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 were (7.3±1.7)%, (13.2±3.5) %, (19.3±3.7)% (F= 18.73, P<0.001) and (6.3±1.8)%, (11.4±2.31)%, (16.4±3.3)% (F = 19.26, P<0.001). Under MTT assay, the rate of cell growth suppression increased significantly, the rates of cell growth suppression in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 were (9.2±2.2) %, (24.3±3.9)%, (48.6±5.5)%(F=117.16, P <0.001) and (9.0±1.7)%, (22.3±3.5) %, (416± 6.4)% (F =71.25, P<0.001). Conclusion HIU enhanced the intracellular calcium of human breast cancer cells within given time and promoted the distribution of cell cycle to G0-G1. The rate of cell apoptosis and the cell's death rate increased evidently.
