Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(02):-
Objective To study the value of 5% glucose irrigation for dissection surface hemostasis in laparoscopic conservative treatment of tubal pregnancy. Methods Clinical parameters including numbers of failure in oviduct sparing, the postoperative intraperitoneal bleeding, persistent pregnancy, recurrent tubal pregnancy on the same side and normal uterine pregnancy were compared between the Experimental Group (glucose irrigation for dissection surface hemostasis; 43 cases) and the Control Group (unipolar electrocogulation hemostasis; 43 cases). Results We failed to reserve the oviduct in 10 patients in the Control Group (10/43, 23%) and in no patients in the Experimental Group (0/43) ( ? 2 =11 316, P =0 001). Recurrent tubal pregnancy on the same side was observed in 2 cases in the Control Group (2/34, 6%) and in no cases in the Experimental Group (0/34), without significant differences ( P =0 175). No postoperative intraperitoneal bleeding or persistent pregnancy was seen in both of the groups. Normal uterine pregnancy rates were 44 1% (15/34) in the Experimental Group and 40.0% (10/25) in the Control Group, without significant differences between the two groups ( ? 2 =0 100, P =0 752). Conclusions Use of 5% glucose irrigation is superior to electrocogulation for dissection surface hemostasis in the treatment of tubal pregnancy.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(11):785-789
OBJECTIVE:
The purpose of this investigation was to observe the effects of the Acetaminophen on auditory in mice.
METHOD:
Regardless of male and female mice, healthy seven-year-old C57 mice were randomly divided into Acetaminophen low-dose group (150 mg/kg), Acetaminophen medium-dose group (300 mg/kg), Acetaminophen high-dose group(600 mg/kg) and control group. Then mice were tested for ABR to observe the changes of ABR's threshold in the zero, second, fourth and ninth day separately. The change of cochlea hair cells morphology was studied by immunofluorescent labeling. And HPLC detects the concentration of Acetaminophen in endolymph of mice cochlea.
RESULT:
After 30 minutes following administration, the Acetaminophen in endolymph of mice cochlear can be assayed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Acetaminophen increased the hearing thresholds compared to the control group. Hearing thresholds increased significantly in the Acetaminophen at 9 d,compared to the control group (P < 0.05). After administered medium-dose and high-dose of Acetaminophen, on the 9th day with the time of giving medicine to all the groups strengthens, the ABR thresholds heightens. And the average threshold is (44.75 +/- 16.00) dB, (50.00 +/- 11.00) dB respectively. Hair cells damages could be observed in experimental group after operations.
CONCLUSION
Acetaminophen can pass through blood-labyrinth barrier to the inner ear. These data demonstrate that taking certain acetaminophen can induce hearing impairment in mice.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2014;(10):1445-1451
Aim To investigate the roles of intracellu-lar reactive oxygen species ( ROS ) and Nrf2 pathway in shikonin-induced A549 cell apoptosis. Methods The cytotoxicity was analyzed by MTT assay. The ap-optosis of A549 cells was analyzed by both cellular morphological and biochemical methods. The relative changes of the redox marks ( ROS/GSH) were studied by fluorescence assay in the shikonin-treated A549 cells in accompany with the changes of the intracellular redox homeostasis by GSH/GSSG ratio. ROS inhibitor was also employed in the treatment to find the role of ROS in shikonin-induced A549 cell apoptosis. Real-time PCR analysis and ELISA assay were performed as well to determine the role of Nrf2 pathway in the shiko-nin-induced A549 cell apoptosis. Results The IC50 of shikonin on A549 cells was 3. 2 mg·L-1 . The cellu-lar redox homeostasis shifted toward oxidation signifi-cantly in shikonin treatment in a time-dependent man-ner. The expression of the Nrf2 pathway related genes was up-regulated by shikonin ( 3 . 2 mg · L-1 , 8 h ) . The expression of the anti-apoptotic genes was down-regulated , and proapoptotic genes were up-regulated by shikonin (3. 2 mg·L-1, 24h). Futhermore, the inhi-bition of intracellular ROS alleviated the cytotoxicity of shikonin in A549 cells. Conclusion The critical role of shikonin-induced redox imblance in A549 cell, coped with the secondary produced ROS and Nrf2 path-way antioxidants, result in A549 cell apoptosis.
