International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2011;19(7):554-558
Dyslipidemia is a recognized risk factor for ischemic stroke. As an important component of lipids, lipoprotein(a) (Lp [a] ) was first found within the atherosclerotic plaques which is similar to the lipid body of the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol? Studies have showed that Lp (a) is involved in the formation of atherosclerosis and thrombosis through a variety of mechanisms, and then triggers cardio-cerebrovascular diseases. Identifying its relation with ischemic stroke and other risk factors may provide references for early prevention and treatment of ischemic stroke.
2.Analysis of studies on pattern recognition of tongue image in traditional Chinese medicine by computer technology
Journal of Integrative Medicine 2004;2(5):326-9
The article analyzed the contemporary study of pattern recognition of tongue images in traditional Chinese medicine by computer technology from its key sectors. It regards that the methods of orthogonal design and evaluation of image quality should be introduced to get a high-quality and practicable condition. In the field of tongue image segmentation, multiple methods used together are expected to improve the effect of segmentation. A scientific and canonical standard of tongue diagnosis based on comprehensive experts' experience with Delphi evaluation method and multi-center experts diagnosis on internet are also very essential. The study of pattern recognition on tongue image is still concentrated on the color. Further study should be extended to achieve quantification. And a comprehensive diagnosis on pattern recognition of tongue image is the aim that should be focused on later.

Journal of Integrative Medicine 2003;1(1):66-70
With the further development of clinical modernization of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), new request to tongue diagnosis for objectivity and quantification is raised. Many researchers have devoted themselves to this field and have achieved some accomplishments since 1950's. Especially in recent years, the revolution of information technique derived from computer industry brings the research new chances. The research history of the past five decades can be divided into three stages: (1) looking for micro-markers by newly-developed medical technique; (2) quantifying traditional markers by new technique; (3) further development based on information technique and corporation of multiple subjects. This article reviewed the three stages and described its prospect.

BACKGROUND:Femoral shaft fracture is common in children Various methods of treatment can be used successfully, depending On the age of the child and the type of fracture.OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the feasibility of adult reconstruction plate of humeral shaft for pediatric femoral shaft fracture.METHODS:A total of 32 children with femoral shaft fracture were treated with adult reconstruction plate of humeral shaft in First Department of Orthopedics,Fuzhou General Hospital of Fujian Medical University, including 20 males and 12 females aged 6.7years(5-8 years). All patients were treated with incision reduction and adult reconstruction plate of humeral shaft. The incision length should be made as short as possible according to the fracture type The result of surgery was determined using clinical and radiographic examinations The pain condition was evaluated using visual analog scale method before and 3 days following surgery.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The patients were followed up for 1-2 years(average 1.5 years). All fractures were healed 1-2months postoperatively, and the internal fixator was removed 4-8 months postoperatively. The affected limb was shortened0.6-1.5 cm(average 1.1 cm)in 3 cases.Overgrowth was obsewed in the other patients by 0.3-1.2 cm The average overgrowth length was(0.64±0.312)cm in 29 patients. At 3 days postoperatiVely, the mean subjective pain was significantly reduced, and range of motion was improved compared with the day before surgery There was no infection or implant displacement or re-fracture.It is feasible to use adult reconstruction plate of humeral shaft for paediatric femoral shaft fracture.

Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(08):-
Objective: To study the quality standard for Puhuang Dispensing Granule (Pollen Typhae). Methods : Puhuang Dispensing Granule was identified by TLC and isorhamnetin-3-O-neohesperidoside and typhaneoside in Puhuang Dispensing Granule were determined by HPLC. Results : The linear relationship was at the range of 0.4~1.21?g for isorhamnetin-3-O-neohesperidoside and 0.42~1.25?g for typhaneoside, respectively. The average recovery was 98.88% for isorhamnetin-3-O-neohesperidoside and 99.68% for typhaneoside, respectively. Conclusion : The method is available with a good reproducibility and can control the quailty of Puhuang Dispensing Granule.

Traditional Chinese Drug Research & Clinical Pharmacology 1993;0(04):-
Objective To study the hypoglycemic effect of polysaccharide from stigma maydis and to explore its therapeutic mechanism preliminarily.Method The diabetes mice models were induced by tetraoxypyrimidine. The concentration of blood sugar was determined by glucose oxidase test. The influence of the stigma maydis polysaccharide on glycometabolism and its repair effect on damaged glycometabolism organs of diabetic mice were observed respectively by content determination of glycogen and by the measurement of activities of relative enzymes(superoxyde dismutase and glutathione peroxidase). Results The stigma maydis polysaccharide could decrease the blood sugar, promote the synthesis of glycogen and repair the damaged glycometabolism organs of diabetic mice. Conclusion The stigma maydis polysaccharide exhibits a good therapeutic effect on diabetic mice, and has a good development prospect.

Chinese Journal of Urology 2011;32(11):766-770
ObjectiveThe clinical features of T1G3 bladder cancer and the risk factors of the recurrence, progression and death were studied. Methods One hundred and eighty-seven cases with T1G3 bladder cancer were diagnosed from 1998 to 2006 in the Institute of Urology of Tianjin. There were 162 males and 25 females in the study group. The average age was 66 years (35 -92 years).A clinical epidemiology study was carried out and prognosis information was collected. The risk factors were preliminary screened with Kaplan-Meier univariate analysis and then finally determined with multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression model. ResultsBased on a mean follow-up of 46 months (range,12 to 111 months),100 (53.5%) of the cases had a recurrence,61 (32.6%) cases progressed and 37( 19.8% ) cases died. The 1-,2-,3-,5-year probability of tumor recurrence was 35.0%,60.0%,63.0%,65.0%.The 1-,2-,3-,5-year probability of disease progression was 12.0%,27.0%,34.0%,38.0% and the 1-,2-,3-,5-year probability of death was 0,11.0%,17.0%,26.0%,respectively.The tumor size, number of tumors, immediately intravesical instillation and the first recurrence time ≤6 months were the risk factors associated with tumor recurrence of T1G3 bladder cancer. The tumor modality, cancer in situ, the first recurrence time ≤ 6 months and frequency of recurrence were the risk factors of disease progression.Only progression was a risk factor of death. ConclusionsTumor of T1G3 bladder cancer patients with features such as the tumor size ≥3 cm,tumor multiplicity, and first recurrence time ≤6 months were more likely to relapse.Immediately intravesical instillation could reduce the risk of recurrence.Cystectomy must be carried out early if the patient with T1G3 bladder cancer has the risk factors of progression such as the nodous tumor, tumor in suit, the first recurrence time ≤6 months and frequency of recurrence > 1.
