1.Nursing of patients with early severe acute pancreatitis undergoing laparoscopic treatment
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2008;24(33):20-21
Objective To discuss nursing of patients with early severe acute pancreatitis undergoing laparoscopic treatment and in comparison with open surgery. Methods Totally 56 patients with early se-vere acute pancreatitis were admitted from October 2002 to October 2007,among which 30 cases (group A) received laparoscopic.treatment and the other 26 cases (group B) was given open surgery. The average time of hospital stay, incidence of complication and re-operation were compared between the two groups. Re-sults The average time of hospital stay, incidence of complication and re-operation of group A were lower than those of group B (P<0.05). Conclusions Treatment of severe acute pancreatitis with laparoscopy proved to be a desirable method in that it performs good effect with little trauma and low fatality.Other basic treatment, regulation of water and electrolyte balance and acid-base balance, enforcement of nutritional sup-port,fasting and gastrointestinal decompression should not be ignored.

Objective To observe the effect of upper limb rehabilitation robot training on unilateral spatial neglect (USN) in stroke patients. Methods 30 stroke patients with USN were divided into control group (n=15) and observation group (n=15). Both 2 groups receivedroutine rehabilitation and USN comprehensive training after vital signs were stable. The observation group received upper limb rehabilitationrobot training additionally. Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), Modified Barthel Index (MBI) and USN were assessed before and 8 weeksafter treatment. Results The scores of FMA and MBI and USN status were significantly improved (P<0.01), and they were better in the observationgroup than in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Upper limb rehabilitation robot training can improve USN patients' upperlimb motor function and activities of daily living, and improve the degree of USN.

Maple syrup urine disease (MSUD) is an autosomally recessively inherited disorder of branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) metabolism caused by the defective activity of branched-chainα-ketoacid dehydrogenase complex (BCKD). The disease is characterized by severe ketoacidosis, mental retardation, and neurological impairments. So far, application of tandem mass spectrom-etry and HPLC has allowed newborn screening and early detection, but some patients with variant forms of the disorder will escape detection. Liver transplantation is an effective treatment. However, the rareness of liver donation limits the liver transplantation. In this review, the screening, diagnosis and therapy of MSUD will be discussed.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2000;0(11):-
Objective To explore the relationships between serum levels of adiponectin and essential hypertension in the people with overweight and obesity. Methods The body mass index(BMI),waist circumference(WC),waist-hip ratio(WHR) and blood pressure(BP) were measured among 21578 people from 21 to 60 years old in Shenzhen.According to BMI,the people were divided into the normal-weight group(BMI≤24kg/m~2)(n=14817),the overweight group(2495 cm,respectively(all P0.05).The serum levels of adiponectin were negatively correlated with BMI,WC,WHR and systolic blood pressure in the hypertension obesity cases. Conclusion Adiponectin may be intimately related to obesity and essential hypertension.Keeping the BMI and WC at normal range is one of the effective ways to prevent the risk of essential hypertension.

Objective To explore the value of the square for intracranial puncture orientation applying in the intracranial hematoma microinvasive craniopuncture scavenging technique. Methods Fifty-one patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage were randomly enrolled into the orientation square group( n=27)and the CT orientation routine group (n=24). The puncture point was fixed by certain wayin each group. Both groups received the same intracranial hematoma microinvasive craniopuncture scavenging technique. The punctural precision, the time spended for puncture orientation and the curative effect in two group were observed and compared. Results The deflected rate(18.5%)of the orientation square group was lower than that routine group significantly(50.0%)(P

Objective To understand the quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) ,and to analyze the influencing factors for their quality of life .Methods A total of 250 patients with COPD from 3 hospitals in Zhanjiang City were investigated by using the Chinese Scale Of World Health Organization (WHOQOL‐BREF) ,and the influencing factors for quality of their life were analysed ,as well .Results A total of 237 qualified questionnaires were reclaimed out of 250 questionnaires , and the response rate was 94 .80% .Scores of physiological aspect ,psychological aspect ,social relation ,environmental condition and comprehensive health self evaluation were (59 .57 ± 15 .73) ,(56 .99 ± 13 .01) ,(64 .28 ± 14 .82) ,(58 .70 ± 11 .53)and (74 .97 ± 12 .61) ,respectively .The scores of quality of life in the physiological aspect ,psychological aspect ,social relation and environmental condition of male patients with COPD were higher than those of the female ;the scores of quality of life in the social relation in pa‐tients with higher education level were higher than that in patients with lower education level ,the scores of quality of life in the physiological aspect ,psychological aspect ,social relation and environmental condition in patients with higher income level were high‐er than those in patients with lower income level ;the disease severity was higher ,the scores of quality of life in the physiological as‐pect ,psychological aspect ,social relation and environmental condition were lower ,all had statistically significant differences (P<0 .05) .Logistic regression analysis showed that sex ,monthly income level and disease severity were the influence factors of quality of life self evaluation in COPD patients .Conclusion The quality of life in patients with COPD might be influenced by sex ,income level ,level of education and disease severity .It is necessary to strengthen the health education ,pay attention to personalized care and improve the quality of life of patients with COPD .
