Objective To investigate the expression of thymosin ?4 in the foreskin,normal skin(except the foreskin),hypertrophic scar,and keloid,and its relationship to pathological scars.Methods In situ hybridization was applied to detect the expression of thymosin ?4 mRNA [With the probe of BM005698(EST) gene marked by digoxin] in four groups: foreskin,normal skin(except the foreskin),hypertrophic scar,and keloid.Both qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis were performed.Results Thymosin ?4 mRNA was expressed in all the four groups.The proportion of thymosin ?4 mRNA expression in the keloid was 2/10,which was 25% of that in the foreskin(8/10),and was 28.6% of that in the normal skin(7/10).The positive rate of thymosin ?4 mRNA expression in the dermis was higher than that in the epidermis;and was high in fibroblasts,intravascular endothelial cells,and macrophages.The mean OSD of the positive samples was 0.03?0.01 in the keloids,which was significantly lower than that in the normal skins(0.09?0.03) and hypertrophic scars(0.09?0.02)(P=0.000 for both).Compared with the normal skins,the expression increased by 231.5%(P

Objective To explore the application of scene type trace method in physiology teach-ing reform. Methods 2009 grade clinical medicine students in Zunyi Medical College were randomly di-vided into two groups:control group (n=111) and experiment group (n=108). Students in control group were taught by traditional teaching method while those in experimented group by scene type trace method. According to the questionnaire survey and the final exam statistical analysis,the effects of teach-ing were evaluated. SPSS 15.0 software was used to do statistical analysis. Qualitative data were analyzed by chi-square test of completely randomized design and two sets of frequency distribution while quantita-tive data by independent samples t test. P<0.05 means that difference is statistically significant. Results There were statistically differences in satisfaction degree of two teaching methods. More students were sat-isfied with scene type trace method than traditional teaching method. Final exam achievement in scene type trace method group(79.90±14.25,90.74%)were higher than that in the traditional teaching method group(72.35±17.09,83.78%). Conclusions Physiology teaching scene type trace method is helpful to improve the students' learning initiative and significantly improve students' learning achieve-ment.

The design of portable and low power consumption 12-lead ECG is based on the digital signal processor TMS320C5515 and the analog front end ADS1298. The ADS1298 collects the ECG signals and deliver them to TMS320C5515. The preprocessed ECG signals are displayed real-time on a LCD and can be stored without compression for a long time. The ECG signals can also be sent to an up computer by a USB connector so that ECG data can be analyzed offline. The system has small volume, high precision and low power consumption.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the simultaneous determination of acetic acid and succinic acid in Banxia syrup. METHODS:RP-HPLC was performed on the column of GL InterSustain-C18 with mobile phase of 0.03 mol/L ammonium di-hydrogen phosphate buffer solution(pH2.0)-methanol(gradient elution)at a flow rate of 0.8 ml/min,the detection wavelength was 210 nm,column temperature was 30 ℃,injection volume was 10 μl. RESULTS:The linear range was 0.020 98-0.209 8 μg/ml for acetic acid(0.999 9)and 12.04-120.4 μg/ml for succinic acid(r=0.999 9);limits of quantification were 0.15,18.24 ng,limits of detection were 0.045, 5.53 ng;RSDs of precision, stability and reproducibility tests were lower than 2%;recoveries were 97.45%-101.68%(RSD=1.39%,n=9) and 98.31%-101.08%(RSD=1.01%,n=9). CONCLUSIONS:The method is accurate and rapid,and suitable for the simultaneous determination of acetic acid and succinic acid in Banxia syrup.

Objective To observe the B- ultrasonic (B-US) renal changes of chronic aristolochic acid nephropathy (CAAN) patients and to determine its value in disease diagnosis. Methods The renal B-US data of 124 CAAN patients were retrospectively studied. The relationship between the B-US characteristics and the renal function was tested. Clinicopathological data of 19 CAAN patients underwent renal biopsy were compared with those of 18 patients with chronic tubulointerstitial nephropathy due to none-aristolochic acid causes (non-AAN-CTIN). Results The characteristics of renal B-US changes in CAAN patients included diminished parenchyma thickness (90.3%), atrophy of the kidney (62.90%) and asymmetrically shrinked kidneys (17.74%). Objective To study what affect the incidence and recurrence of keloids. Methods A total of 476 cases were treated with surgery plus adjunctive radiation therapy, intraleisional injection of triamcinolone acetonaide acetate, or surgery plus postoperative topical medicine. The family history and other clinical data were analyzed, including patients' age, sex, the duration of keloids, initiating factors, location, size, treatment method, and recurrence of the keloids. Results Keloids occurred in both male and female with the rate of 1. 83 ∶ 1. 00, with a predominance in woman aged from 22 to 45 years old. Trauma and pierce were the most significant initiating factors. The recurrence was affected by patients family history, treatment methods and the location of keloids, and less affected by keloids size, patients' age and sex. Conclusions Both surgery following adjunctive radiation therapy and intraleisional Kenalog injection are useful methods, which are prior to surgery plus postoperative topical medicine. The keloids incidence has a preponderance in some patients with family history. Therefore,genetic research is important to identify the pathogenetic factors in the keloids.
