Purpose To investigate the effects of oxytocin(OT) and prostaglandins intervention on oxytocin receptor(OTR) expression of primary culture of human myometrial smooth muscle cell.Methods Using respectively oxytocin, prostaglandin E2(PGE2),and prostaglandin F2alpha(PGF2alpha) intervened on human myometrial smooth muscle cell.The expression of OTR mRNA and protein of cell hemogenate was examined.Results The expression of OTR between oxytocin intervention group and untreated group was similar.The expression of OTR in cell was significantly higher in the PGE2 or PGF2alpha intervention group than that in the untreated group.The expression of OTR in cell was significantly higher in the PGE2 and PGF2alpha joint intervention group than that in the untreated group and than that in the PGE2 or PGF2alpha individual intervention group.Conclusion Oxytocin didn′t increse the expression of OTR in human myometrial smooth muscle cell.PGE2 and PGF2alpha incresed the expression of oxytocin receptor in human myometrial smooth muscle cell.Furthermore PGE2 and PGF2alpha joint intervention more significantly increased the expression of oxytocin receptor than PGE2 or PGF2alpha individual intervention in human myometrial smooth muscle cell.

Objective Development of eyeball is visually regulated by messengers that released from the retina, and research demonstrated that retinoic acid (RA) is the only extrinsic biochemical candidate that could act as a growth controller. Present study was designed to evaluate the RA system in retina of guinea pig eye with experimental form deprivation myopia. Methods The form deprivation myopia models were monocularly established in the 24 2-week-old guinea pigs by occluding the lateral eyes using white translucent hemispheres for two weeks, and the fellow eyes were as normal control. Refraction diopter was detected with streak retinoscopy after cycloplegia, and axial length and vitreous depth were calculated with Cinescan A/B ultrasonography before and 2 weeks after experiment. All animals were sacrificed and retina was dissected 2 weeks after experiment. The RA level in retina was delected by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The expressions of RA-binding proteins Ⅰ(CRABP-Ⅰ) and RA receptor-β(RAR-β) protein and mRNA were assayed by Western-blotting and Real-time PCR, respectively. The experiment and use of animals followed the Standard of Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Results The spherical equivalent refraction was (+ 3. 00 ± 0. 75) D in the model group and (+ 2. 88 ± 0. 67) D in control eyes (t= 0. 672, P ＞ 0. 05), the ocular axial length was (7. 822 ± 0. 083) mm in model group and (7. 791 ±0.073) mm in control eyes before experiment (t = 0. 346, P ＞ 0. 05). In 2 weeks after experiment, the spherical equivalent refraction was (- 3. 82 ± 0. 13) D versus (1. 99 ± 0. 58) D and axial length was (8. 346 ± 0. 047) mm versus (7. 888 ± 0. 042) mm between model eyes and control eyes (t = 8. 376, P ＜ 0. 001; t = 3. 343, P ＜0. 05). No significant difference in the level of RA in retina before and after experiment (1. 394 ±0. 079 μg/g vs 1. 295 ±0. 023 μg/g) (t =0. 897, P ＞0. 05) but obviously elevated after experiment in model eyes compared with control eyes (2. 356 ± 0.098 μg/g vs 1.499 ±0.035 μg/g) (t =4. 934, P ＜0. 01). The expression of CRABP-Ⅰ and RAR-β mirrored these directional changes. Conclusion The RA system in retina is upregulated in the eye of guinea pig with form deprivation myopia. This findings suggests that RA may act as a messenger in the development of experimental myopia.

Objective To observe the effects of intravenous injection of fentanyl and tramadol on postoperative analgesia in laparoscopic cholecystectomy of clinical efficacy.Methods 80 cases treated with laparoscopic cholecystectomy were randomly divided into the fentanyl group (group F) and tramadol group (group Q).VAS score,adverse reaction incidence and patient satisfaction,were observed after the administration of 0.5,1,2,4,8,12h.Results In group F after administration of 0.5,1,2h,VAS score was better than that of group Q; group F after administration of the drug 4,8 h VAS score was inferior to group Q;two groups of patients in postoperative 12h VAS scores showed no significant difference in group F;the overall incidence of adverse reactions was higher than that of group Q,patients' satisfaction was higher than that of group Q.Conclusion Intravenous fentanyl in laparoscopic cholecystectomy operation postoperative overall are superior to the analgesic effect of tramadol,with high patient's satisfaction.

Objective To analyse the survival time and related factors of patients with brain stem glioma who received 3DCRT.Methods Thirty-six patients with brain stem tumor were admitted from October 2004 to December 2008 and all received 3D-CRT with the dosage (50-54 Gy,25-30 f,5-6 weeks).During treatment,the patients’ outcomes were analyzed by observing the changes of symptoms,signs and adverse radiotherapy reaction and all of them were followed-up in the next 3 years.The survival data were analyzed by Kaplan-Meire method.Results The median survival time was 9 months in the 23 pediatric patients and 15 months in 13 adult patients.One-,two-and three-year survival rates between pediatric group and the adult group were 43.5 ％ (10/13) vs 76.9 ％ (10/13),26.1％ (6/23) vs 46.2 ％ (6/13),8.7 ％ (2/23) vs 38.5 ％ (5/13).Karnofsky performance scale score at admission (x2 =20.059,P =0.000),tumor site (x2 =17.585,P =0.000),growth pattern (x2 =21.247,P =0.000) were associate with survival time.Conclusion 3DCRT is an effective therapy to brain stem glioma,childhood onset,pontine glioma,diffusion style and Karnofsky performance scale less than 80 are risk factors of poor prognosis.

ObjectiveTo investigate the diagnostic value of N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and MB isoenzyme of creatine kinase (CK-MB) for heart failure (HF) in pneumonia children.MethodsThe NT-proBNP and CK-MB were assayed in 132 pneumonia children with HF, 138 pneumonia children without HF and 62 healthy children were recruited into this study. A receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve and a logistic regression model were employed to assess the diagnostic accuracy of NT-proBNP and CK-MB for HF in pneumonia children.ResultsPneumonia children with HF had higher blood NT-proBNP and CK-MB than those in pneumonia children without HF and healthy controls (P<0.01 for both). Pneumonia children with HF had higher blood NT-proBNP and CK-MB than the pneumonia children without HF. The area under curves (AUCs) of NT-proBNP and CK-MB for HF were 0.85 and 0.72, respectively. The AUC for their combinational usage was 0.87.ConclusionBoth NT-proBNP and CK-MB are effective markers as diagnostic adjuncts for HF in pneumonia children. Combination of NT-proBNP and CK-MB can improve the diagnostic accuracy for HF in pneumonia children.

After the application of associated data in digital library and in library resources integration was described, the necessity of library resources integration was analyzed, the semantic association process of library resources and the problems of library resources in research on semantic association were studied in terms of system construction, technical implementation and discovery algorithm. The semantic integration of library resources was achieved by de-signing the integration framework, ontology and associated data.

Temporal and spatial expressions of ?-catenin investigated in the hair follicle and epidermis of the hoof periphery in bovine embryonic development. IHC (immunohistochemical method) was applied to qualitatively detect the temporal and spatial expressions of ?-catenin. ?-catenin was detected in suprabasal, epidermal basal layer, placode, hair bud in early phase(E68～93),and expressed strongly in epidermal basal layer, placode, and hair bud, in suprabasal expressed less strongly; in metaphase(E94～184), ?-catenin was detected in epidermis, hair peg, and in suprabasal, epidermal basal layer, hair follicle bulge, inner root sheath, outer root sheath, follicular infundibulum expressed less strongly; in late phase(E184～225), ?-catenin expressed weakly in epidermal basal layers, while expressed strongly in epidermal keratinocytes. The result suggested that ?-catenin plays an important role in hair follicle morphogenesis in the periphery of bovine hoof in bovine embryos.

OBJECTIVETo investigate clinical characteristics and pathological changes of tissue surrounding prosthesis after hip and knee arthroplasty.

METHODSA total of 67 patients receiving hip and knee arthroplasty were included in the study and pathological changes of the revision specimens were evaluated by microscopic examination.

RESULTSOf 67 patients, there were 25 males and 42 females (ratio of 0.6) with a mean age of 64 years. There were 42 cases of revision hip prosthesis and 25 cases of knee prosthesis. The primary causes for the revision varied, including 20 cases of infection (29.9%, within 3 months in 9 cases,3 to 24 months in 3 cases and over 24 months in 8 cases), 14 cases of pain (20.9%), 13 cases of loosening of the prosthesis (19:4%), 9 cases of joint stiffness (13.4%), 8 cases of prosthetic dislocation (11.9%), and 3 cases of prosthesis fracture (4.5%). Pathological findings in the tissue surrounding the prostheses included debris reaction, histiocytes, acute inflammatory, chronic non-specific inflammation, pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS), "pseudomembranous", calcification, necrosis, sequestrum, etc. These histological changes were frequently admixed.

CONCLUSIONSVarious reasons may lead to hip and knee revision arthroplasty. The main pathological findings include infection, debris granulomas, chronic non-specific inflammatory changes, PVNS. The surgical pathology of the prosthesis provids guidances for clinical treatment and basic research.

[Abstract ] Objective To compare the accuracy between regular computed tomography colonography (CTC)and dual-energy CTC in lesion detection.Methods Twenty-eight patients with clinical suspicious space occupying lesions of the colon were selected.All patients were underwent dual-energy mode contrast-enhanced CT scan and the data were reconstructed with colonography and dual-energy iodine maps methods.The diameter,enhanced computed tomography (CT)value and iodine value were measured.The results of colonoscopy and pathology were taken as gold standard.The sensitivity, specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of regular CTC and dual-energy CTC were compared.Variance analysis was performed for measurement data comparison among groups and chi-square test was used for count data analysis.Results Among 28 patients,colorectal lesions were detected in 24 cases by regular CTC,of which four cases were false-positive and one case was false-negative confirmed by colonoscopy and pathology.Colorectal lesions were detected in 20 cases by dual-energy CTC,of which no false-positive and one case was false negative confirmed by colonoscopy and pathology.The contrast enhanced CT value of polyps,adenoma,adenocarcinoma and stool was (38.54± 6.82),(49.16±7.31 ),(52.61 ±5 .93 )and (34.00±1 .41 )Hu,respectively.The enhanced value of adenoma and adenocarcinoma was significantly higher than that of polyps and stool,the differences were statistically significant among groups (F = 10.760,P = 0.001 ).There was no significant difference between polyps and stool (t=1 .44,P =0.188).The sensitivity of regular CTC and dual-energy CTC in lesion detection was 95 .6% (95 %cofidence interval(CI ):77.9%-99.2%)and 95 .6% (95 %CI :77.9%-99.2%),respectively.The specificity was 42.8% (95 %CI :15 .4%-93.5 %)and 100.0% (95 %CI :47.9%-100.0%).Conclusion Compared with traditional CTC,dual-energy CTC would distinguish lesions from stool,help differentiate between benign and malignant tumors and further increase the accuracy of CTC diagnosis.

Objective To analyze retrospectively the relationship between protein nutrition index (PNI) and survival conditions in patients with peritoneal dialysis (PD).Methods Various clinical and laboratory indexes of patients with chronic kidney disease from January 2004 to January 2014 were analyzed retrospectively.PNI score was determined by serum albumin (ALB),normalized protein nitrogen presentation rate (nPNA),lean body mass (LBM).According to PNI score,PD patients were divided into four groups:good nutrition status,nutrition status in general,poor nutrition,PEW status.Linear regression analysis was used to analyze determine factors of PNI;analysis of Kaplan-Meier was applied to examine relationship between the protein nutrition status and survival rate;COX regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors for survival in patients with PD.Results All the indexes,age,complications index,serum Cr,K-Kt/V,T-Kt/V had a linear relationship with PNI.5-year survival rate in the four groups were respectively 95％,92％,65％,23％.Age,complications,PNI index were the survival risk factors of PD patients.Conclusions According to PNI score,evaluation of protein nutritional status of patients with PD could predict survival conditions of PD patients,the higher PNI score,the higher survival rate.
