OBJECTIVE To study the metallo-?-lactamases of 5 carbapenem resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates, which were recovered at 2006 in the Third People's Hospital of Yueqing. METHODS K-B method was used to determine the antimicrobial agents susceptibility in 5 isolates. The minimal inhibitive concentrations (MICs) of antimicrobial agents to these strains were determined by agar dilution method. Double disk synergy test was used to detect the metallo-?-lactamase. Molecular screening for blaIMP,blaVIM,and blaSPM was carried out using PCR method. The PCR product was sequenced. RESULTS One out of the 5 carbapenem resistant P. aeruginosa was positive for MBL double disk synergy test, and confirmed to contain blaVIM-2 gene. CONCLUSIONS A blaVIM-2-producing isolate of P. aeruginosa is identified. This carbapenem-resistant isolate is all multi-drug resistant.

36 rabbits were divided into control and experimental groups. In the experimen-tal group, the left renal artery was ligated or the left renal artery and vein wereligated simultaneously. All the animals were alive. After 3—8 months of the opera-tion,the rabbits were killed. The establishment of collateral circulation and theanatomical, histological and histochemical changes of the kidny were observed. The resultsobtained were as follows:1.Ligation of the left renal vessels causes atrophy of theleft kidney on account of the failure of collateral circulation establishment.Theright kidney of the experimental group showed obviously compensatory hypertrophy. The weight of the compensatory hypertrophied kidneys obviously increased.2.Thecompensatory hypertrophic growth of kidneys is due to the hypertrophy of existingn(?)phrons and the hyperplasia connective tissue.3.comparison of the controls, inthe JGI,PAS and AlP reactions with the compensatory hypertrophied kidneys, there were no striking differences. The results suggest that the compensatory hyper-trophied kidneys were normal at least on the renin secretion and reabsorption func-tion.

Objective:To investigate the prevalence and associated risk factors of pre-hypertension and hypertension in young and middle-aged population in Nanjing. Methods:Subjects of the study were those who underwent physical examination in the physical examination center of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital from 2009 to 2016. The prevalence and risk factors of pre-hypertension and hypertension in young (aged 18-44 years old) and middle-aged people (aged 45-59 years old) were analyzed. Results:A total of 142 857 participants aged 18-59 years old were analyzed. Among them, 64 220 cases in the pre-hypertension group and 13 912 cases in the hypertension group. The prevalence of hypertension was 9.74% (12.51% in males and 5.82% in females). The prevalence of pre-hypertension was 44.95% (53.31% in males and 33.15% in females). In the middle-aged group, the prevalence of pre-hypertension and hypertension were 51.68% and 15.13%, respectively, which was higher than that in the young group (37.95% and 4.13%, respectively). The prevalence of pre-hypertension and hypertension in 2013-2016 was 45.37% and 10.65%, respectively, which was higher than that in 2009-2012(44.52% and 8.78%). In addition, the prevalence of abnormal blood glucose metabolism, abnormal blood lipid metabolism and abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism in the pre-hypertension group was higher than that in the normal blood pressure group, but lower than that in the hypertension group ( P<0.001). A logistic regression analysis indicated that age, overweight or obesity, hyperglycemia, hypertriglyceridemia and hypercholesterolemia were risk factors of pre-hypertension in male. Age, overweight or obesity, hyperglycemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hypercholesterolemia and hyper-low density cholesterolemia were associated with hypertension in male and with pre-hypertension and hypertension in female. Conclusions:Middle age, overweight/obesity, elevated fasting plasma glucose, elevated triglyceride and elevated total cholesterol were risk factors of pre-hypertension and hypertension in both men and women. Intervention on the related risk factors should be conducted as early as possible.

We applied Lempel-Ziv complexity (LZC) combined with brain electrical activity mapping (BEAM) to study the change of alertness under sleep deprivation in our research. Ten subjects were involved in 36 hours sleep deprivation (SD), during which spontaneous electroencephalogram (EEG) experiments and auditory evoked EEG experiments-Oddball were recorded once every 6 hours. Spontaneous and evoked EEG data were calculated and BEAMs were structured. Results showed that during the 36 hours of SD, alertness could be divided into three stages, i. e. the first 12 hours as the high stage, the middle 12 hours as the rapid decline stage and the last 12 hours as the low stage. During the period SD, LZC of Spontaneous EEG decreased over the whole brain to some extent, but remained consistent with the subjective scales. By BEAMs of event related potential, LZC on frontal cortex decreased, but kept consistent with the behavioral responses. Therefore, LZC can be effective to reflect the change of brain alertness. At the same time LZC could be used as a practical index to monitor real-time alertness because of its simple computation and fast calculation.

Vigilance is defined as the ability to maintain attention for prolonged periods of time. In order to explore the variation of brain vigilance in work process, we designed addition and subtraction experiment with numbers of three digits to induce the vigilance to change, combined it with psychomotor vigilance task (PVT) to measure this process of electroencephalogram (EEG), extracted and analyzed permutation entropy (PE) of 11 cases of subjects' EEG and made a brief comparison with nonlinear parameter sample entropy (SE). The experimental results showed that: PE could well reflect the dynamic changes of EEG when vigilance decreases, and has advantages of fast arithmetic speed, high noise immunity, and low requirements for EEG length. This can be used as a measure of the brain vigilance indicators.

Mental fatigue is an important factor of human health and safety. It is important to achieve dynamic mental fatigue detection by using electroencephalogram (EEG) signals for fatigue prevention and job performance improvement. We in our study induced subjects' mental fatigue with 30 h sleep deprivation (SD) in the experiment. We extracted EEG features, including relative power, power ratio, center of gravity frequency (CGF), and basic relative power ratio. Then we built mental fatigue prediction model by using regression analysis. And we conducted lead optimization for prediction model. Result showed that R2 of prediction model could reach to 0.932. After lead optimization, 4 leads were used to build prediction model, in which R' could reach to 0.811. It can meet the daily applicatioi accuracy of mental fatigue prediction.

Purpose To study the exposure extent of internal carotid artery siphon (ICAS) before and after removing anterior clinoid process (ACP) using multislice spiral CT (MSCT) simulation, and to improve the tumor resection rate and ensure the operation effect. Materials and Methods MSCT three-dimensional images reconstruction simulating supraorbital keyhole approach of 100 patients (200 sides) were observed, the distance between the crotch of anterior cerebral artery and middle cerebral artery and ICAS before and after removing ACP (exposure extent) was measured. Results In 100 patients (200 sides ACP), the exposure extent before and after removing ACP were (14.3±3.9) mm and (30.5±4.2) mm, respectively on the left side with statistical difference (t=45.278, P<0.001), and were (15.9±3.8) mm and (31.8±3.9) mm, respectively on the right side with statistical difference (t=40.513, P<0.001). The exposure extent increased (16.3±3.6) mm and (15.8±3.9) mm, respectively on the left and right side with no statistical difference (t=0.251, P>0.05). Conclusion MSCT simulating supraorbital keyhole approach in removing ACP can effectively increase the exposure length of ICA, and enlarge the exposure extent of sella region, thus provide reliable imaging information for removing tumor and selecting surgical project in this region.
