Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(3):227-231
OBJECTIVETo compare the differences of clinical effects on primary hypertension between acupuncture combined with auricular point sticking and western medicine.
METHODSNinety patients with primary hypertension were randomly divided into a medication group and a combination group, 45 cases in each group. In the medication group, captopril tablets were treated with oral administration, 12.5 mg each time, twice a day; in the combination group, acupuncture and auricular point sticking were used, and acupuncture was applied at Renying (ST 9), Fengchi (GB 20) and Baihui (GV 20), while auricular point sticking was adopted at Shenmen (TF4), Xin (CO15), Jiangyagou and Jiaogan (AH6a), once a day for continuous 4 weeks. After treatment, the changes of 24 h ambulatory blood pressure, angiotensin II (Ang II) level, creatinine level and syndrome scores were observed and the clinical efficacy was assessed in the two groups.
RESULTSAfter 4 weeks' treatment, the 24 h ambulatory blood pressure was both improved compared with that before treatment in the two groups (P<0.01, P<0.05). The reducing of 24 h ambulatory blood pressure in the combination group was superior to that in the medication group (P<0.05). There were reducing tendencies about coefficients of variation (CVs) of the two groups, and in the combination group, the CVs of 24 h ambulatory blood pressure and systolic pressure acquired more obvious reducing range compared with the medication group (both P<0.05). Serum Ang II level and plasma creatinine level of the patients in the two groups after treatment were both decreased (both P<0.05) and the reducing of Ang II level and creatinine level of the combination group was more obvious than that of the medication group (both P<0.05). The syndrome scores of the two groups after treatment were both remarkably decreased (both P<0.05), and the reducing of the syndrome scores of the combination group was more marked than that of the medication group (P<0.05). The total effective rate of the combination group was 95.6% (43/45), which was superior to 71.1% (32/45) of the medication group (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture combined with auricular point sticking for primary hypertension has reliable effect. It is better than captopril for the improvement of 24 h ambulatory blood pressure, AngII level and creatinine level, and can improve dizzy, palpitation and other clinical symptoms.

Leveraging the centralized drug purchase platform of medical institutions in Beijing, the study measured the drug price index (DPI) and the DDD price index from 2005 to 2013, and the outcomes indicate a drop of both the drug price index and the drug price index calculated by DDD.Despite such drops however, drug price drop by itself could not curb the constant rise of drug expenses and medical costs due to changes in the structure and interval of drug administration.

Objective To study the effect of moxonidine (Mox) on the His bundle electrogram (HBE) of normal rabbits. Methods A total of 24 healthy rabbits were randomly divided into four groups: control group, small dose of Mox (0.1 mg?kg -1), medium dose of Mox (0.3 mg?kg -1) and large dose of Mox (0.9 mg?kg -1). The electrode catheter was inserted from the right carotid artery to record the HBE. The HBE and the synchronism surface ECG were recorded before and after intravenous injection. Results In normal rabbits, the R-R interphase, P-R interphase of the ECG and the H-V interphase of the HBE were prolonged in a dose-dependent manner after intravenous injection of Mox. Mox exerted no significant influence on the A-H interphase. Conclusion ① Mox decreases the heart rate of rabbits in a dose-dependent manner in vivo. ② Mox dose-dependently prolongs the P-R interphase of the surface ECG and the H-V interphase of HBE. This indicates that Mox mainly acts on the intraventricular conducting system.

In the macrocosmic perspective, the development trend of the rights and obligations of doctors and patients is regarded as changes in the healthcare mode.In the microcosmic perspective,it is regarded as a clarification and emphasis of the informed consent of the patients as required by laws and regulations. However, medical workers tend to neglect their obligation of informing the patients of the medical expenses to be paid out of their own pocket. In this consideration, informing the patients in writing of their self-payment in medical expenses is obligatory and important,i.e,the self-payment agreement is highly important in clinical work. This paper analyzed the legal at-tributes of self-payment agreement in the aspects of both the informed consent and the signing of the medical service contract, with discussions of the tining of signature,in the hope of inspiring and helping medical workers in their clinical practice.

Gene deletion vector pLJ04(pKC1139∷bkdF+bkdH)was used to disrupt bkdFGH in Streptomyces avermitilis 76-02-e,an industrial producer of anthelmintic avermectin. The disruptants were confirmed by PCR.Shake flask experiment and HPLC analysis showed that the mutant lost the ability to produce avermectins. As it is expected, the mutant, named S.avermitilis bkd76-3,could restore the ability of producing avermectins when the feeding of methylbutyric acid and isobutyric acid to its fermentations was carried out.The addition of cyclohexanecarboxylic acid(CHC)into fermentations of the S.avermitilis bkd76-3 allowed for production of four components, two of which was confirmed as CHC-B1 and CHC-A2 by LC/MS analysis, respectively.
