ObjectiveTo evaluate the attentional ability following brain injury.Methods26 patients with brain injury including traumatic brain injury(TBI) and stroke, and 30 normal volunteers were randomly selected. Different attention tests(Continuous Performance Test, Stroop Color-Word Interference Test, Trail Making Test and Paced Auditory Serial Addition Task) were applied to assess the attentional ability of the patients and normal volunteesrs. Then the data were sorted out before statistical analysis was performed.ResultsThere was significant difference between the normal and brain injury groups in scores(P<0.05). There was no significant difference between TBI and stroke in scores(P>0.05).ConclusionThe multiple aspects of attention deficit existed in the patients with brain injury, including sustained attention, selective attention, divided attention and attentional switching. Clinical manifestations of attention deficit after traumatic brain injury and stroke is closely related with the injury site.

Epilepsies are a group of chronic neurological disorders characterized by spontaneous recurrent seizures caused by abnormal synchronous firing of neurons and transient brain dysfunction. The underlying mechanisms are complex and not yet fully understood. Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, as a condition of excessive accumulation of unfolded and/or misfolded proteins in the ER lumen, has been considered as a pathophysiological mechanism of epilepsy in recent years. ER stress can enhance the protein processing capacity of the ER to restore protein homeostasis through unfolded protein response, which may inhibit protein translation and promote misfolded protein degradation through the ubiquitin-proteasome system. However, persistent ER stress can also cause neuronal apoptosis and loss, which may aggravate the brain damage and epilepsy. This review has summarized the role of ER stress in the pathogenesis of genetic epilepsy.

Objective To explore effect and nursing of Dezocine and Sufentanil on self-controlled vein analgesia after laparotomy. Methods 60 patients undergoing abdominal surgery were randomly divided into Dezocine group (group D),Sufentanil group (group S),and Dezocine and Sufentani group (group DS).Analgesic, sedative effect of three drugs after 3 postoperative hours,6 h,12 h,24 h and 48 h were compared.Adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, respiratory depression were recorded.Satisfaction of three groups of patients on the post-operative analgesia effect was evaluated. Results After 6 postoperative hours,12 h,24 h and 48 h,the difference of VAS score of group DS was not statistically significant compared with the group S (P >0.05).And the score of group DS and group S were lower than that in the group D (P <0.05).Analgesia satisfaction of group DS was higher than that of group D and group S,and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions of group DS was lower than that of group D and S ,and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion The analgesia and sedative effect of the Dezocine and Sufentanil after abdomi-nal surgery is better than drug usage alone, and adverse reactions decreases.Preoperative and post-operative education about analgesic effect, timely dealing with adverse reactions can increase pa-tients’satisfaction and improve the quality of life of the patients.

Chest trauma is one of the most common injuries. Venous thromboembolism (VTE) as a common complication of chest trauma seriously affects the quality of patients′ life and even leads to death. Although there are some consensus and guidelines on the prevention and treatment of VTE at home and abroad, the current literatures lack specificity considering the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of VTE in patients with chest trauma have their own characteristics, especially for those with blunt trauma. Accordingly, China Chest Injury Research Society and editorial board of Chinese Journal of Traumatology organized relevant domestic experts to jointly formulate the Chinese expert consensus on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of chest trauma venous thromboembolism associated with chest trauma (2022 version). This consensus provides expert recommendations of different levels as academic guidance in terms of the characteristics, clinical manifestations, risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of chest trauma-related VTE, so as to offer a reference for clinical application.

Objective To analyze the urban drinking water quality and its influencing factors in Anhui Province from 2014 to 2022, and to provide a scientific basis for water quality improvement and protection. Methods The data were collected, saved and monitored according to the Standard Test Method for Drinking Water (GB/T5750-2006) and evaluated according to the Hygienic Standard for Drinking Water (GB 5749-2006). Results A total of 20 941 samples were collected, and the overall qualified rate was 84.26%. The qualified rate of urban drinking water increased from 76.9% in 2014 to 93.3% in 2022, and the qualified rate of water quality was on the rise (χ2=544.43, P<0.01). From 2014 to 2022, the qualified rate of water quality in dry season was higher than that in wet season (χ2=35.98, P<0.001), the qualified rate of surface water was higher than that of ground water (χ2=4440.8, P<0.001), and the qualified rate of peripheral tap water was higher than that of factory water (χ2=145.1, P<0.001). Among all kinds of disinfection methods, chlorination disinfection had the highest qualified rate (χ2=1483.8, P<0.001). The qualified rate of water quality increased with the increase of the scale of water plant. Among the inspected indicators, the main unqualified indicators were chlorine dioxide (7.72%), fluoride (7.41%), free residual chlorine (3.90%), and total bacterial count (2.13%). Conclusion The passing rate of urban drinking water quality in Anhui Province is on an upward trend, and the quality of urban drinking water has improved. However, it is still important to pay attention to the problem of excessive microorganism and fluoride in water, and the quality of drinking water varies from place to place.
