This paper reports one case of Gongylonema pulchrum infection in the esophagus in human.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of dietary,exercise intervention combined with Rou-ganjiangzhi capsule on non -alcoholic fatty liver disease.Methods A randomized,double -blinded and placebo drug parallel controlled method was used in this study.Sixty patients were enrolled into the study and randomly assigned into treatment group and control group.The patients of treatment group were taken with Rouganjiangzhi capsule combined behavior intervention.The patients of control group were taken with placebo drug combined behavior inter-vention.Each patient were accepted 12 weeks of the therapy.After treatment,the clinical symptoms,liver function, blood lipids,indicators of changes in imaging were detected,and the results of each group statistically were analyzed. Results After 12 weeks treatment,five patients were rejected,and the clinical symptoms,body mass index (BMI), waist -hip ratio were markedly improved in each group:[(1.02 ±1.08)points,(26.29 ±2.54),(0.92 ±0.04), (0.81 ±0.95),(26.58 ±3.11)and (0.91 ±0.04)]compared with[(3.62 ±0.96)points,(27.63 ±2.50),(0.94 ± 0.03),(3.60 ±0.95),(28.22 ±3.14),(0.95 ±0.03)(t =4.74,2.64,0.82,4.62,3.61,0.84,all P <0.05)]. After the treatment,the liver function (ALT,GGT)and cholesterol (TC)of treatment group decreased significantly than that before treatment:[(75.28 ±25.19)IU /L,(48.41 ±38.42)IU /L,(3.02 ±0.85)IU /L],compared with [(127.46 ±52.42)IU /L,(48.41 ±38.42)IU /L,(4.63 ±0.69)IU /L (t =2.54,2.18,2.42,all P <0.05)],while the liver function (ALT,AST,GGT)and blood lipids(TC,TG)of control group had no significantly decreased.The liver and spleen CT ratio raised apparently in treatment group than control group (0.86 ±0.24),(0.71 ±0.20)(t =0.83, P <0.05).Conclusion Rouganjiangzhi capsule achieve the good therapeutic effect on non -alcoholic fatty liver.

Objective To select the optimum ultrasonic extracting method of polysaccharides from Rosa Laevigatae Michx in Guizhou. Methods Independent variables were solid-liquid ratio, extraction time and extraction temperature, dependent variable was extraction rate ratio of polysaccharides from Rosa Laevigatae Michx.Linear or nonlinear mathematic models were used to estimate the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Response surface methodology was used to optimize the process of extraction.Prediction was carried out through comparing the observed and predicted value. Results The optimum extraction condition for the polysaccharides was as follows: extracting at 75 ℃ for 60 min and ratio of liquid to solid 30??1 ( mL??g ) . The average extraction yield of polysaccharides was 37. 54% under the optimum extraction condition. Conclusion This optimized extraction process is simple and reliable for the extraction of polysaccharides from Rosa Laevigatae Michx in Guizhou.

Objective To study the association of SNP of the AdipoR1 gene with T2DM in Xi’an population. Methods The amplification refractory mutation system(ARMS) analysis and gene sequencing were used to investigate the AdipoR1 gene polymorphism in 100 type 2 diabetics and 84 normal control subjects. Results (1) The genotype and allele frequencies of -106A/G, 5843A/G were not significantly different between type 2 diabetics and normal control subjects. (2) The diagnosis age of diabetics was significantly younger in AdipoR1 5843GG genotype group than in other genotype groups. Conclusions The data implicate that the AdipoR1 gene -106A/G and 5843A/G polymorphism may be not associated with pathogenesis of T2DM. AdipoR1 5843 GG genotype may be associated with the earlier diagnosis of T2DM

Objective The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of the initial amount of total RNA input,adapter dilution and PCR amplification cycles on the results of small RNA library preparation and high-throughput sequencing.Methods Based on the sequencing reads number,the number of detected miRNAs and the accuracy of quantitative detection,we explored the effects of initial Total RNA,dilution ratio and PCR cycles on the quality of microRNA library preparation and high-throughput sequencing,respectively.Results For libraries preparation of the normal RNA input(1 μg),the adapter dilution combined with 22 PCR cycles could gain the best quality of sequencing.In the low-input libraries(10 ng),adapter dilution and increased PCR cycles would also improve the quality of sequencing,but as compared with the 1 μg library,there was lower correlation with microarray quantitative results in general.Conclusions The initial amount of RNAs input has the biggest effects on the quality of sequencing,and the quantity accuracy rate of low-input libraries is lower than the normal libraries generally.Increasing the PCR amplification cycles properly is indispensable to low-input libraries.

Embryonal tumors of central nervous system (CNS) are highly invasive malignant tumors that mainly affect infants.Even if the current active treatment strategies are given, the prognosis is still very poor.The 2016 World Health Organization(WHO) classification integrates the genetic information of diseases with histopathology, so as to make the classification and diagnosis of these tumors more accurate.In the new classification, embryonal tumors of CNS include the most common medulloblastoma, and the rare embryonal tumor with multilayered rosettes, C19MC-altered, embryonal tumor with multilayered rosettes, not otherwise specified (NOS), medulloepithelioma, CNS neuroblastoma, CNS ganglioneuroblastoma, CNS embryonal tumor, NOS, atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor, and CNS embryonal tumor with rhabdoid features.Further study and exploration on the biological nature of these rare brain tumors will provide scientific basis for new treatment methods.

Objective The aim of this study was to compare hypophosphatemia between the sepsis patients and the non-sepsis patients,and between within the subgroups of sepsis patients.Methods We collected 312 sepsis cases and 300 non-sepsis cases by stratified random sampling method yearly.In the sepsis cases,the number infected by gram-negative bacteria was 170,and by gram-positive bacteria was 142,containing 4 different bacteria infected cases in each one.Serum phosphorus of cases in each group were collected.The data were statistically processed to compare the incidence rates of hypophosphatemia,mean serum phosphorus levels and relative risk among groups.Results There was a statistical difference between the sepsis cases and the non-sepsis cases in incidence rate of hypophosphatemia (P ＜ 0.05,and RR ＞ 1.2).There were statistical differences between the cases infected by gram-negative bacteria and the cases infected by the gram-positive bacteria,also among cases infected by 4 different gram-positive bacteria in both incidence rate of hypophosphatemia and average serum phosphorus level (all P ＜ 0.05),and both RR ＞ 1.2.There were no statistical differences among cases infected by 4 different gram-negative bacteria in both incidence rate of hypophosphatemia and average serum phosphorus level (both P ＞ 0.05),and RR ＜ 1.2.Conclusions The sepsis patients were susceptible to hypophosphatemia,especially the ones infected by the 4 gram-negative bacteria,staphylococcus aureus and enterococcus in this study.We should pay attention to the serum phosphorus level seriously and prevent the occurrence of serious complications.

Quality of life(QOL) is a broad-ranging concept,incorporating in a complex way the person's physical health,psychological state,social relationships,and has been widely used as health outcomes.But in postnatal research or health care in China,the application of QOL was restricted due to the deficiency of assessment tool.Quality of life scale includes two categories: general scale(designed for general population) and specific scale(designed for specific population).General scale didn't cover the specific issues introduced by childbirth.Specific scale for postnatal women was lacking until Symon designed an open Mother-Generated Index(MGI).But the MGI had a high requirement for the understanding ability of audiences,and the completion was easily influenced by environment,both restricted the utilization in China.A specific,valid and reliable postnatal QOL scale is needed to develop in China.The aim of this overview is to describe the traits of the postnatal women's health,the meaning of the application of QOL in this period,and the situation analysis of the application in China.

Objective:To select items to compose the final scale from 101-item pool for assessment of postnatal quality of life which was developed by the authors before. Methods: Ten experts in maternal and child health scored the importance of every item. A total of 200 women at 0-12 months after childbirth who took their babies for vaccination or clinic services were investigated by the item pool, and 10% of them were retested in one month. Based on these data, items in the item pool were screened by following principles respectively: score of item importance, factor loading, variation coefficient, Cronbach Alpha, correlation coefficient of item with domains (2 types) and test-retest correlation coefficient. Then we summarized the screening results of these methods, and retained the items which could be selected in at least five methods. Results: The numbers of items deleted in these seven screening methods respectively were: 39 items in experts scoring method; 43 items in factor analysis method; 49 items in variation analysis method; 50 items in Cronbach Alpha method; 26 items in correlation coefficient method 1; 9 items in correlation coefficient method 2; and 11 items in test-retest method. After summarizing these screening results, 60 items were selected. In order to simplify the scale,only kept 2 items in each aspect which had more frequency retained. Finally, 40 items remained in the postnatal quality of life scale. Conclusion: This is the first Chinese scale for evaluating postnatal quality of life of women. It needs to establish the validity and reliability in the future.

Objective To compare the effects of methimazole and propylthiouracil on 2-beta globulin and thyroid hormone level in patients with hyperthyroidism.Methods90 cases of patients with hyperthyroidism were treated in our hospital from May 2013 to May 2015, and randomly divided into control group and observation group, 45 cases in each group, the control group was treated with propylthiouracil, the observation group was treated with methimazole, and the level of thyroid hormone, the blood and urine β2-globulin, the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups during before&after treatment.ResultsCompared with before treatment, blood, urine β2-globulin content of two groups were significantly decreased, and the blood, urine beta β2-globulin content of the observation group significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05);compared with before treatment, FT3 and FT4 levels of two groups were significantly decreased during 1,2,3 months after treatment (P<0.05), TSH levels were significantly increased(P<0.05), and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05);During treatment, the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was no significant difference.ConclusionThere is significantly effect of methimazole in the treatment of hyperthyroidism with methimazole, it can effectively reduce the β2-globulin content, and regulating thyroid hormone levels in the body, it is safe worthy of promotion and application.
