Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL),the largest category of lymphoma,is a clinically and biologically heterogeneous disease entity.Immunophenotype, tissue microarray and molecular studies underline the extreme heterogeneity of DLBCL and suggest a subclassification of the tumor. This review summarizes the morphological, immunophenotypic, cytogenetic and molecular genetic features of DLBCL relevant to the precise prognostic previsions.
3.EFFECTS OF AGAR-OLIGOSACCHARIDES ON BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVEL AND OXIDATION-ANTIOXIDATION STATUS OF DIABETIC MICE
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(02):-
Objective:To evaluate the effect of agar-oliogsaccharides (mainly containing agarobiose) on blood glucose level and oxidation-antioxidation status in alloxan-induced diabetic mice. Method: The inhibitory activity of agarobiose on ?-glucosidase was investigated. Alloxan was used to establish non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice model. After 14 d administration of agarobiose, blood glucose, MDA, SOD, GSH and GSH-Px levels were determined. Results:Agarobiose showed inhibitory activity on ?-glucosidase with IC50=1.39 mg/ml, Ki=0.52 mg/ml. In a certain concentration (200-400 mg/kg bw), agaro-oligosaccha- rides reduced the blood glucose level remarkably, and the oxidative indices were also improved in heart, liver, lung and brain. The blood glucose level (P

International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;31(2):94-97
Neovascularization is one of the crucial challenges in tissue-engineered grafts. In order to find sdution to the problem, endothelial cells and animals were exposed to electromagnetic fields to examine the formation of new vascular. This review gives an overview of the effects of electromagnetic fields on the neovascularization of tissue-engineered grafts.

Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(03):-
The glutathione peroxidase cDNA has been acquired by reverse transcriplate-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). mRNA was isolated from the culture liver cancer cells firstly, then trancriplate if into cDNA with AMV reverse transcriptase. By using this cDNA as PCR template and two synthetic special primers, we get about 600 bp DNA fragment after 35 circles. The result is identical with our expectation.

Chinese Journal of Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases 2006;0(04):-
Objective To know the prevalence rate of hypertension and the rates of illness-awareness,medication and blood pressure control in Wenzhou. Method With random cluster sampling,1 034 residents aged≥15 yrs were selected from the communities of Wenzhou, and investigated with the standard questionnaires. Results The prevalence rate of hypertension in Wenzhou was 38.97% and the standardized rate was 22.27%. Among the patients with hypertension,51.12% of them were aware, and only 40.69% of them took medication and 9.18% of them had their blood pressure controlled. Conclusion The prevalent rate of hypertension is higher, but the awareness rate, medication rate and controlling rate are lower in Wenzhou city. The comprehensive interventions are needed for the prevention and treatment of hypertension.

Objective:To select the differentially expressed vascular smooth muscle cell(VSMC) apoptosis gene induced by icariin, glucose regulated protein 78(GRP78),to observe the expression of GRP78 in atherosclerosis tissue and to the elucidate the mechanism of anti-atherosclerosis of icariin. Methods:The model was established by using halfcystine in viro. The vascular smooth muscle cell was incubated with various concentrations of icariin for 48 hours. The apoptosis was detected by TUNEL assay.GRP78 gene was amplificated by PCR,recombinant plasmid were constructed, transfected into E.coli, positive clonings were selected and conf irmed by restriction endonucleas analysis, and sequence-ed.Tissue situ hybridization was used to observe the GRP78 expression in atherosclerosis tissue. Results:Icariin promoted obviously vascular smooth muscle cell apoptosis.Furthermore, the fragment,648bp,was similar to the gene of GRP78 from VSMC,and the expression level was signif icantly higher in high cholesterol group than in control nroup. Conclusions:The GRP78 plays a key role in inducing atherosclerotic lesions. The mechanism of anti-atherosclerosis of icariin might be partly due to promoting apoptosis of vascular smooth muscle cell.

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(03):-
Objective Agaro-oligosaccharides have been proved to possess the antioxidative ability in vitro. This work focus on the preparation of agaro-oligosaccharides and their antioxidant effect in vivo. Method Agaro-oligosaccharides were hydrolytically obtained and the activated carbon column was used to purify the oligosaccharides. The antioxidative effects of the 10 % ethanol eluted fraction on tissue peroxidative damage induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl 4) was also investigated in rat. Result Agarobiose of high purity was consequently eluted from chromatography in the fractions of 5 % and 8 % ethanol, agarotetraose and agarohexaose in 10 % to 15 % ethanol, as well as high degree of polymerization (DP) oligosaccharides in 25 % ethanol. The antioxidative results indicated that agaro-oligosaccharides could elevate the activities of SOD, GSH-Px and decrease the level of MDA, GPT, GOT significantly. At a dose of 400 mg?kg~ -1, MDA level was reduced 44 % and 21 % in liver and heart, the activities of SOD and GSH-Px would amount to the peak value in liver and serum, while GPT level was decreased 22 % in serum. Conclusion The purity of agaro-oligosaccharides with different range of DPs was improved by activated carbon column, which possesses the property of different absorbance ability towards oligosaccharides with various DPs and high isolating capability. The animal test also indicated that agaro-oligosaccharides could inhibit the oxidative damage in vivo.

This study is designed to investigate the anti-tumor and anti-angiogenesis mechanism of carrageenan oligosaccharides. The effects of carrageenan oligosaccharides on basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) induced cell proliferation, heparanase activity and bFGF binding ability were evaluated in human cervical cancer cells (HeLa) and human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC). Results indicate that, at rational concentrations, carrageenan oligosaccharides showed low cytotoxic effect. At relatively low concentrations (0.2-200 microg x mL(-1)), these oligosaccharides could competitively bind bFGF and inhibit bFGF induced cell proliferation. In these samples, oligo-lambda-carrageenans (dp2-8) were the most potent bFGF antagonists. At concentration of 20 microg x mL(-1), their inhibitory ratio reached to 30%. The heparanase enzyme assay revealed that three kinds of carrageenan oligosaccharides showed different inhibitory activities to two cell lines. For HeLa cell, oligo-lambda-carrageenans showed highest inhibitory effect, but for HUVEC, oligo-kappa-carrageenans (dp9-17) were the best inhibitors. Current observations demonstrated that the biological activities of carrageenan oligosaccharides are closely related to the molecular weight, carbohydrate structure and the content and linking position of sulfur groups. Carrageenan oligosaccharides with high sulfate fraction, 2-8 units saccharide size and suitable molecular structure are able to achieve potent heparin sulfate-like compounds.

The essence of thinking was the procedure for processing information by knowledge in the frame of world view, which depending on the world view and the existing knowledge and information. The characteristic of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) thinking was reflected by its unique world view. The world view of TCM thinking was natural view, holism concept and dialectic view, compared with modern scientific thinking mostly in reduction analysis. To develop TCM,the modern TCM thinking system was established through the reforming and innovating of TCM thinking characteristic based on preservation and promotion of them.
