EphA1,the first member of the Eph receptor tyrosine kinase family,not only plays a pivotal role in embryonic development and angiogenesis,but also expresses in some types of adult human tissues.Its specific characteristics of Eph/ephrin binding and the Eph/ephrin signaling transduction are fundamentally involved in tumor initiation,progression and metastasis.The expression levels of EphA1 vary considerably in different types of normal tissues and tumors,or even in different phases of tumor development,suggestive of its functional pluralism.Intensive studies of EphA1 on angiogenesis,carcinogenesis and metastasis may provide a method for the early diagnosis and a potential target for the treatment of cancers.

Castleman's disease(CD),known as giant lymph node hyperplasia,is a rare lymphoproliferative disorder,whose etiology has not been definitively established.Clinically CD is categorized into unicentric and multicentric,and histologically,subdivided into three subtypes,hyaline vascular variant,plasma cell variant and mixed variant.Different variants usually require inconsistent therapeutic measures and have different prognoses.The present paper gives an overview of the pathogenesis,treatment and prognosis of CD,with emphasis on the stroma-rich variant,a special subtype of CD of the hyaline vascular variant.

Objectives To observe anatomical location of the top branch of plantaris arch which extends from the superficial branch of the medial plantar artery,design and apply flap base on it. Methods On the basis of the anatomical data from 8 feet of 4 fresh cadavers and probed of the Doppler from 50 feet of normal person,defined the anatomic location and body surface projection of the top branch of plantaris arch,a type of new flap design were introduced in the paper. Results The flaps have been used in six cases clinically to treat skin defect of the hand meanwhile,sensation of the flap was regained by suturing nerve.All flaps survived,the appearance of the flaps were excellent,the function of the injured hands were recovered well. Conclusions The design of the flap is reasonable,it is suitable that the free medialis pedis flap of the top branch of plantaris arch is used to repair a small skin defect of the hand.

[Objective]To observe the clinical treatment of calcaneus fracture with poking reduction and artificial bone grafting technique.[Method]From 1999.6 to 2005.5,60 cases with recent calcaneus fracture,including 46 feet in 38 males and 24 feet in 22 females with falling injure;aged from 20 to 65,were equally divided into two groups,including the observed group treated with poking reduction and artificial bone grafting and the control group with steel needle pry-poking reposition.[Result]During followed up for 6-60 months,average 20.7months,it was notable different in Maryland foot score,and the same in Bhler′,Gissane′ and Perie′ angle in X-ray in post-operation and pre-operative between observed group and the control.[Conclusion]It showed us that the technique of poking reduction and artificial bone grafting was liable to operate and could provide exactly efficiency.

Objective This research examined the effect ofmicrobubble contrast agent plus ultrasound on the permeability of blood-brain barrier,and explored whether it affects the efficacy of chemotherapeutic drugs on cerebral glioblastoma.Methods Wistar rats were divided into three groups to find the optimal concentration of ultrasonic contrast agent.To identify the best ultrasound mode that affected the permeability of blood brain barrier,we employed transmission electron microscopy for study of brain ultrastructure.Western blotting was used to detect the tight junction protein claudin-5.Evans blue staining of brain tissues was utilized to identify the best ultrasonic contrast agent concentration and mode.Rat glioma cells (line 9L) were injected into Wistar rats.After temozolomide chemotherapy,the tumor size was measured and the tumor marker GFAP in serum was detected by ELISA.Results The best contrast agent concentration which increases permeability of BBB in rats was found to be lml/kg and the best ultrasound mode was intermittentlytriggered pulses lasting for 10min (with interval was set at 400ms).More Evans blue passed the blood-brain barrier in ultrasonic cavitation effect group than in control group (P＜0.05).After temozolomide chemotherapy,more tumor marker GFAP was detected in ultrasonic cavitation effect group than in control group (P＜0.05).Conclusion The permeability of BBB was increased and more temozolomide went through BBB when the rats were subjected to intermittently triggered ultrasonic pulses and were injected at contrast agent at lml/kg,which could help to achieve better therapeutic efficacy for glioblastoma.

Objective:To investigate the molecular mechanism of PDGFC regulated by HuR in breast cancer cells.Methods:Through the software analysises,we first predicted the HuR-binding sites on the PDGFC 3'-UTR in breast cancer cells;An RNA-immunoprecipitation tested the interaction of HuR with the PDGFC mRN after adding PDGFC stimulation;Luciferase experiments tested the HuR-binding sites of PDGFC regulated by HuR through structuring five truncated of PDGFC 3'UTR.Results:We found five HuR-binding sites in the 3'UTR of PDGFC by software prediction;The RNA-immunoprecipitation showed the co-immunoprecipitation of HuR and PDGFC mRN after adding PDGFC stimulation confirming the direct association of HuR with the PDGFC;Luciferase experiments ofPDGFC mRNA 3'UTR showed that PDGFC regulated by the second and fourth HuR-binding sites.Conclusions:This study reveals the molecular mechanism of PDGFC regulated by HuR through binding to PDGFC mRNA 3'UTR in breast cancer cells,and provided rationale for the development of strategies in the clinical diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer.

Objective To explore the indication,technology and clinical significance of laparoscopic choledocholithotomy and primary suture in treatment of choledocholithiasis.Methods 78 patients with choledocholithiasis were divided into two groups receiving respectively laparoscopic choledocholithotomy and T-tube drainage treatment,and laparoscopic choledocholithotomy and primary suture after common bile duct exploration.The time of operation,postoperative hospital stay and complications were analyzed and compared.Results Bile leakage occurred in 2 cases in the primary suture group and 3 cases in the T-tube drainage group;No residual stones or biliary stricture was found in either groups.The time of operation,postoperative complications were not statistically different (P ＞ 0.05).The difference in postoperative hospital stay and GI function recovery time between the two groups was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion In well selected cases,the primary suture of common bile duct after laparoscopic choledocholithotomy is feasible and safe.
