2.Expression and significance of adipocyte fatty acid-binding protein in placenta, serum and umbilical cord blood in preeclampsia
Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2010;45(12):885-890
Objective To investigate the change of adipocyte fatty acid-binding protein(FABP4) in maternal serum and umbilical cord blood and FABP4 mRNA placental expression in patients with preeclampsia(PE). Methods A total of 60 women with PE and 60 normal pregnant women as control participated in this study. All are admitted to Fujian Maternity and Children Health Hospital for delivery from December 2008 to October 2009. Patients with PE were divided into early-onset group (n = 30, presented at ≤34 weeks of gestation) and late-onset group(n = 30, presented at > 34 weeks of gestation), with 30 normal pregnant women as early control group(≤34 weeks of gestation) and 30 as late control group(>34 weeks of gestation). Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect FABP4,fasting serum glucose, fasting insulin(FINS) in maternal serum and FABP4 in umbilical cord blood. Real-time fluorescent quantitative revere transcription PCR was used to detect placental FABP4 mRNA expression. Furthermore, clinical and biochemical parameters were recorded, such as body mass index(BMI), systolic pressure(SP),diastolic pressure (DP), mean arterial pressure (MAP), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL), high density lipoprotein (HDL), creatinine (Cr), uric acid (UA) , glomerular filtration rate (GFR), 24 hours urine protein in pregnant women and neonatal weight. Results (1) Maternal serum FABP4 was (176 ± 9) ng/L in early-onset PE group and (170 ± 9) ng/L in late-onset PE group, significantly elevated as compared to (81 ± 13) ng/L in early control group and (94 ± 15) ng/L in late control group. (2) Mean maternal FINS, homeostasis model of assessment for insulin resistence index (HOMA-IR) were significantly elevated in the early-onset PE group and late-onset PE group as compared to control groups, respectively. (3) Mean placental FABP4 mRNA expression were significantly elevated in the early-onset PE group and late-onset PE group as compared to late control group. However, no significant difference was found in placental FABP4 mRNA expression between early-onset and late-onset PE groups.(4) Mean umbilical cord blood FABP4 concentrations were significantly decreased in the early-onset PE group and late-onset PE group as compared to late control group. Furthermore, umbilical cord blood FABP4 concentration correlated negatively with maternal serum FABP4 level and placental FABP4 mRNA expression, but positively with neonatal weight. (5) Mean maternal serum FABP4 concentrations correlated positively with placental FABP4 mRNA expression,TG, FINS, HOMA-IR, Cr, UA; and negatively with HDL, GFR. Conclusions Increased FABP4 expression in maternal serum and placenta may be involved in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia. Increased FABP4 mRNA expression in placenta may contribute to high serum FABP4 level in women with PE.

5.Advance on acute kidney injury of neonate in perinatal phase
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2015;22(9):624-628
Acute kidney injury( AKI) is a variety of causes leading to rapid impaired renal function, causing glomerular filtration rate reduced, blood urea nitrogen elevated, serum creatinine increased, urine out-put decreased, resulting in the disorder of the human body environment,so the body can not maintain homeo-stasis. AKI increases the risk of mortality and chronic kidney disease in neonate. To understand the progress of AKI on diagnostic criteria, pathogenesis, early biomarker, treatment and prognosis,it is extremely important to guide clinical diagnosis and treatment, improve the outcome and reduce the mortality of AKI in neonate.

7.Clinical Observation on High Colonic Lavement for Delaying Renal Failure in 98 Cases
Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1992;0(11):-
Objective: To observe effect of combination of TCM-WM with high colonic lavement for delaying renal failure. Methods: 98 cases of renal failure at compensatory phase were randomly divided into a treatment group treated with high colonic lavement, twice each week. 2 hours each time, and a control group treated with oral administration of coated aldehyde oxystarch,10g each time, thrice each day, 3 months constituting one course. Results: After lavenment. symptoms were improved, deceaseing velosity of the clearance rate of endogenous creatinine in blood and urine slowed lowered, renal survival rate of kidney increased, and the interval of dialasis and other replacement therapy obviously postponed in the treatment group as compared with that before treatment and the control group. Conclusion: The high colonic lavement has obvious therapeutiv effect in delaying renal failure velosity with a smaller stimulation to the stomach and smal intestine. It is an effective way for conservation treatment of renal failure.
8.EFFECTS OF RADIX HEDYSARI POLYSACCHARIDE (RHPS) & ASTRAGALI POLYSACCHARIDE (APS) ON IMMUNE FUNCTIONS
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(06):-
The effects of RHPS & APS on immune function in normal mice and immunosuppressed mice were studied. The results showed that RHPS and APS enhanced not only the phagocytosis of peritoneal mac-rophages in normal mice, but also antagonized completely the immun- Osuppresslve effect of prednisoione. RHPS and APS increased both the lymphocyte transformation rate induced by PHA and ANAE+ rate in normal mice, and antagonized also the suppressive effects of GY or PDS. No significant influence was found on the proliferation of rabbit lymphocyter treated with PHA in vitro. It seems that no obvious difference of effect was found on immune function between RHPS and APS.
9.Tetracycline inhibits Staphylococcus aureus growth in bacterial prostatic tissues of rats
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(09):-
Objective To probe the methods of experimental research for the drug activities of the rat prostates. Methods With androgen and Staphylococcus aureus injected into the prostates, the bacterial prostatitis (BP) models and benign prostatic hyperplasia with bacterial prostatitis (BHP-BP) models were developed. The animals were fed with tetracycline and then the drug activities in the serum and the prostatic tissues, the quantities of the bacteria and the histopathlogical changes in the prostateic tissues were separately detected in different time. ResultsAfter ten days, the histopathlogical changes of the benign hyperplasia and mesenchyma were found in the prostatic tissue from BHP animals and acute suppurative inflammation were dicegnosed in prostatic tissue from the BP group after infected for two days. The drug activities of 22.44 mg/g in BP group and 20.26 mg/g in BPH-BP group were found until 3.5~4 hours and the values were higher than MBC of the tetracycline and the antibacterial activity of the sera at the same time. After 8 to 11 days of treating, the bacteria would not be isolated from the prostates of the animals with BP or BHP-BP. Stopping treatment a week 11 days after treating acute or chronic inflammation histopathlogical change did not be found in the prostates of animals with BP. 30 CFU of bacteria could be found in per gram tissue of prostate and both of the acute and chronic suppurative inflammation could be found in the BP group without treatment at the 28 days afterinfected. Conclusion The tetracycline activities in the prostates of rats with BP or BPH-BPis same as or even higher than that of serum and the MBC of the drug. The quantity of sensitive bacteria in prostates will be diminished and disappeared during treatment.
